Hundreds of Beavers - bEATTY

Your filmmakers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t even stop to think if they should. An Eldritch horror from beyond. A film that dared to look the shadow straight in the eyes. Hundreds of beavers drops it like its hot. Definitely not better than any of the recent Marvel movies. "I wonder if it remembers me." This line alone is enough to make me cry. Man, this movie hits hard. Despite all his other movies doing this type of genre, melancholic, this scene just hits so much harder than any of his other movies, except The Grand Budapest, that movie is a masterpiece.

People might not know But the fact Isabelle Blow is in this saying " I just dont think they got it " is a very good play on the role she played when she was alive . I dont know if Wes Anderson knew that but he's a genius nonetheless

I tell people to give it a chance, and to at least try to make it to the title. If they stop short I ask if they got to that part and they think they did, but they really didn't.

No movie has ever needed one person passionately defending it more than this one. I'm astounded it doesn't have more recognition in Wes's filmography compared to his other films.

I don't understand. You are trying to sell us your own idea of what the movie is about. Not what the movie is actually about? It's that pretentious nonsense where the 'critic' trying to show everyone how we are all stupid for not seeing what it was 'really about'. At no point did either the creators of TG or Star Wars etc told you this was what their movies are about. You are simply projecting and fantasizing wildly.

I am Jacks lack of media literacy. Analysis of themes is a core pillar of media literacy. Engaging with subtext both intended or perceived is useful for understanding why a piece of media resonates with an audience, or what lessons intended or other wise they might take away from it. This is a different skill that media reviews or criticism. It is completely valid as a form of expression. At no point in the video essay did the author imply they were reporting on the film makers intended subtext.

Life Aquatic for some reason is my favorite of Wes Anderson’s films and one of my go-to comfort rewatches. There’s just enough of the colorful artificial fun of his later movies mixed with the emphasis on great characters in his earlier films like Rushmore. I think Darjeeling Limited benefits from this as well, although that’s much more somber and meditative than Life Aquatic. Also, Bill Murray in this era KILLED it with 3 of his best performances: this, Lost in Translation, and Broken Flowers.

To give an example Life in the Water is finished, it's been 20 years and it's the best movie in my mind, but I taste sorry for the way people don't understand and misunderstand the movie. It's not rated very high, and from what I've read of the reviews at imdb, the stupid and self-righteous movie critics have also pressed on with this detailed and honest work. People don't care about the truth, which is the biggest slight against STEVE. wes the director himself was not willing to come down and explain. After 20 years, the artistry of the work coupled with the drama of wes directing reality, I expect someone to find and have the ability to bring the truth to light. Do justice to this underrated masterpiece.
