Perfect Blue is a 1997 Japanese pink animated psychological thriller kawaii metacontextual film that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. The editing is also really good.
The film follows the story of Mima, a pop idol who is leaving the music industry to pursue acting. As she begins her new life, Mima's mental state begins to deteriorate. Identity and reality become questionable.

Play at 1.25x speed, thank me later.
Do you think that maybe this was put together this way intentionally?
I feel like you're taking over from where "Every frame a painting" left off. Awesome stuff! watching at 1.25x speed was a good tip.
Very very interesting analysis, and wonderfully visualized
Really enjoyed this analysis, thank you
Spoken just like the G-Man from Half-Life.
Why do you talk like this? (With big pauses between syllables)
As you can see, we've had our eye on you for some time now, Mr. Anderson.
It is probably a wombo combo of me being nervous and stressed when recording, trying to be somewhat performative when reading, and having a different understanding of what my voice sounds like vs what others experience it as. You know, it is what it is.

Thanks buddy. Cheers
