Blu-ray addiction is real, but sticking to like 7/10s and up has saved me thousands. Also, for those wondering, you don't have to spend 20 bucks on each movie, I paid on average maybe 10 bucks per movie across my entire library, including all Criterions and 4Ks. You just have to look around online, deals are everywhere.

Listening to somebody yap for an hour over something they love, for some reason, is so enticing to me! Loved the videos this year and can’t wait to see what comes next!

i only get 4ks for movies where i KNOW it looks the best, regular Bluray is just fine, DVD also is fine, unless the 4K conversion is godlike like the alien one i dont need it

I have around 500 dvds and alot of them I got at Movie Gallery years when they went out of business and they where $1.00 each plus I got one of those big red dvd wall mounts that hold around 450 dvds. It took me hours to put all my dvds in order from A to Z now I can find my movies easy. I am not selling any of my movies cause people are stupid for it because if your internet goes out you can't watch anything. I was wondering have you ever watched The Thomas Crown Affair? It's an awesome movie and I have watched it at least 50 times.

Pretentious bullshit. If you want to start collecting physical media... hit up the local thrift stores, goodwill, and the $5 bin at Walmart. DVDs are great! And cheap. I only buy movies that i absolutely love on blu ray or 4k. Honestly 4k is pretty great, but blu ray is so damn close it doesnt even matter.

Most collections ends up at Goodwill..seen it many times. A friend of mine passed away and had a movie DVD collection of several thounsands for nothing...his widow gave everything away!

My friends mum gets everything on disc her lounge room is filled to the brim theres movies and tv shows everywhere it absolutely shits on my collection lmao

My main complaint of a lot of modern horror is the lack of fun. Especially with 70s and 80s stuff you could make a scary film and have it be entertaining and not take itself too seriously. Too much modern stuff does seem to take itself a bit too seriously.
