Nice work dude!
Awesome job dude, it's hotline Miami 3?😮
Are we already in era, where masterpieces like that have a budget of a beercan? I'M TOTALLY IN
Fr fr, the films that have spent so much money to just get as many views as this need to reevaluate what is missing in their films.
Creativity and passion worth more than gold
Agreed. Some of the best movies in the world were filmed with low budgets. You don't need anything expensive. That imagination will take you farther.
@@orangeslices990 Idea, dedication and commitment. The rest are optional
I REALLY like how you acknowledge the fact that Jacket CAN talk, he just most of the time chooses not to because of his military history
No Russian mafias were harmed in the making of this video.
it’s true
They gotta make a Netflix show on this where each level is a episode
Not netflix, anyone, just not netflix.
@@nhenzimethoratadridlerin5546 tbh, you right. What should be on tho?
I would trust HBO behind this
@@Dankdayz.02someone get Scorsese on the phone
Nahh there would be many episodes and they will be short as hell
THIS WAS ACTUALLY SO AWESOME!!
I want to see more Hotline Miami films from y’all.
This is really something special.
Despite the budget, I love the way the movie got shortened by the stories, and made a bit differently. I would legit believe that a full movie with an insane remaster could be possible for you guys in the future, like honestly, this gives even me inspiration to potentially form a Hotline Miami live action movie.
All of you, no matter the budget or any available rescourses, you guys took what you had, and actually made a decent movie!
My love for the amount of work you guys put in is unmeasurable. Thank you so much for creating this, and I wish you the sincerest for your future endeavors in filmmaking!!!
Yoooo
You read my mind.
I didn't expect the skibidi sigma here
I told you id be here for the movie!!!
Edit:
Holy smokes!!! Imagine this with a bigger budget. Hollywood hire this guy!!!
Massive props to the entire team, especially Calvin who did a great job in the main role. Absolutely incredible. You deserve all the attention youve gotten
Thank you so much… you have no idea how much your support means to me and my friends. I’m glad you came back for the final product 😂❤️
@@calvinthibault1273 I can't imagine how much time it took all of you guys to make this, I wish you all the best on your acting career and wish your friends the best in their respective rolls.
Incredible work, you all deserve the attention this has gotten and I see a bright future for all of you!
Hollywood does not deserve him.
Hollywood hell nah
Bro, it looks better than a lot of modern movies from major studios, you were able to capture the atmosphere of the game perfectly. Greetings from Russia.
Согласен.... это чертовски круто

Better than Netflix
No this is better than Netflix and Disney plus.
it's so awesome how you made an different story without detaching fully from the original, your job is amazing keep it up
Ive been waiting for an actually decent fanmade hotline miami film and you guys delivered! This film despite the very low budget captured the main essence of the game perfectly!
TIP: DONT BE AFRAID TO DIE
these is actually fucking awesome, makes me want an actual hotline miami movie even more, or even a series. you guys did so well on this.
I don't care about budget, i'm glad to see people putting effort and time into providing something dedicated to this epic franchise, thank you man, you're a chad
Glad to still see talented people contributing to the Hotline Miami community, great stuff
Chester's chicken, now officially rat free
The things I’d do for a hotline Miami tv series
jacket having one of beard's themes for his first hit is awesome
incredible job, this is what i wanted from a hotline miami movie, something similar but not a direct copy. you perfectly captured the spirit of the game without rehashing it, and on a non-professional budget too! keep up the good work, i'm excited to see what you release next.
This was really cool watching it and seeing all of the elements of Hotline Miami put into a movie, I was excited for this when i saw the release trailer a couple weeks ago and it lived up to my hype I had, thank you for this and great job :)

I've always wanted to make my own Hotline Miami short film but never really had the drive to do it. It's safe to say, though, that this has definitely inspired me and gives me a shit ton of motivation to do it. I loved how you made the story your own while still remaining faithful to what Hotline Miami is. It's really hard to adapt video games into movies, especially when making the narrative different from the source, but you guys did a stellar fucking job. I'd love to see more from you in the future, Hotline Miami related or not.
As a russian, it was fun to hear some random voicelines from whatever game about war it is in 33:58. But that doesn't matter, AWESOME work guys!
согласна с вами!)
Соглашусь😅
10/10 Best Short Film Ive seen all year!
This was surprisingly well written for a fan made. I'm honestly excited to see what yall be making next😎
Sup Unknown lmao ❤
a hotline miami movie, conceptually, poses so many ludicrous questions as to how to approach the source material, how to adapt to the game's tone, and how to actually make a god damn hotline miami movie, that I can't even imagine getting past the planning phase without the whole thing being a total piss fest. but holy god did you completely slay this shit.
I love the way you use color. I love the shots where details are obscured through darkness and visual effects. I love it when a guy gets slammed into a piano and he's just dead for some reason. I can only imagine how you and your incredible team managed to make something like this, but you did the hell out of it. If anybody in the Hotline fandom ever mentions the "Hotline Miami movie," everybody's gonna know they're talking about this. spectacular work.
The dude playing beard has such a likable aura
This was actually the best thing i've ever seen on youtube. you guys did a damn well job!
Great work!
You did well with the fights, I don't expect Jacket to swing a bat and kill 4 guys instantly like in the game, so I'm glad to see the mafia put up a fight against Jacket instead of being treated as cannon fodder all the time.
Was expecting a scene of him finding a dead hitman with animal mask though.
the quick chuckle followed by "wait a minute" moment of seeing the chicken nuggies shilled as "rat free"
Coming back again after finishing this to say that this is incredible!!! I liked the way you gave it your own unique spin.
I've always wanted a photocinematic version of the game's events, and you absolutely delivered. You've got a bright future in filmmaking, boss! I'll be rooting for you!
(P.S: I will be expecting a part 2 covering at least some of HM2s events)
Oh my god. Even though the production quality isn't that great, I can tell that this was made with love. Amazing job, you guys!
Literal internet gold, No better yet, a damn hidden gem. This was one of the best short films i've seen in a long long time, to be honest this is actually better than a literal movie made in Hollywood. You have something every other soulless movie company doesn't have: true passion and heart put into your stuff. This concludes my message but, keep it up.
When played back in slightly lower quality and at 24 fps, it gives a nice retro movie-like atmosphere.
I love that it gets better and better the further you watch this movie! That was great, thank you!
Guys, this is the best fan work I've seen!
Hi from Russia!
Ахаха😂
Just tuning in, Hotline Miami is one of my favorite games, and the love it keeps getting all these years later is awesome!
This was a well made little film! The end credit animations were a nice touch too!
Giving jacket a voice was a pretty bold design choice but MAN did you guys pull it off well, 10s all around
Bro made a better movie than any of the last marvel movies
JAKOB WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE !
I was confused by the first segment until I realized those were the first 3 guys from the tutorial. This guy is the real life Pig Butcher
love this! I can tell so much love was put into this, and from having made short films of my own for school assignments I know just how difficult it can be with a smaller budget and team but you killed it! gonna have to go and watch the rest of your short films now :)
Barring the issues that come with all low budget films, this was great and totally captured the vibes of the games!
that's so fkn good!!! Fans of Hotline Miami is very talented!!! Thx for your short film, this is what the fans have been waiting for so long! Good luck guys!
Holy shit, a hotline miami film in 2023? amazing.
42:12 biker makes his only appearance in the entire film
not really.. biker makes a cameo as jacket wears a biker helmet when on a motorcycle.
Even with a low budget this was such a great watch!! Props to everyone who worked on this!!
I can feel the deep love and enthusiasm that went into this. One of the best fanfilms I have ever seen, bravo!
That's funking awesome, dude
From Russia with love
Всех благ 😊
Very impressed for a 900 subscriber TH-cam channel. Everything was entertaining and stayed true to the game. Amazing work guys
Omg what a treat! loved the take you guys did on this! - The transition between Jacket going from reality and then seeing the figures was eerie
Huge kudos to you for making this. Obviously, if you had an higher budget it would've been perhaps more realistic and more better in terms of the visuals and it's details by the gore to other small stuff, but alas it's just small things which don't bother me too much. I nonetheless absolutely loved this! Every single second of it. From the songs that I've instantly recognised to the scenes and references from the game itself.
Thank you and everyone else who participated in this movie to make it an reality. It's been an blast to watch this. Hope this'll gain more traction and attention as this is awesome.
you definitely deserve more subscribers, i know it could have been better but you atleast had motivation to make a short film out of this,
you did what you could and im proud of it ❤
Rasmus has great voice acting
edit: Maybe if a big company sees this, they'll see the potential in a full theater-length well budgeted movie and create one
18:35 Jacket should feel bad from killing a homeless man and not the mafia.
А так норм фильм получился
Main Street Pizza cameo
Most of the critique I'd have for the film is countered by its low budget and the fact that I have a different perspective on what happened in the game. I like to think that the movie portrays one of the versions of the events since Jacket is in a coma (for most of the game). I really like the melee combat scenes, they have flaws but they have a good flow and I think those scenes are one of the best in the movie. The transitory phases in which Jacket just commutes to the place of a hit are just oozing style and so far my favourite: the "masked tribunal" scenes (the scenes with Don Juan, Richard and Rasmus). I liked Frank Thibault's performance the most, his performance as Rasmus is what hooked me in to watch the movie in the first place after I saw the trailer. The animation during the credits are just a cherry on top, it makes me wish for an animated hotline miami short film.
This is really cool!
Took some interesting creative liberties compared to the source material, but ngl I kinda dig it.
I can tell a load of time, effort and care went into this, awesome work!
I like this a lot. Like that you took the base of the game and added your own spin. Also those ending credits are pretty cool.
Thank you for popping on my recommendations this is gold
HYPEEEE!!!
This is going to make you famous bro
This is a straight up masterpiece. This needs more views and likes. This is such an underrated short movie. It is clear that a lot of love and effort went into it.
If they ever make a movie of Hotline Miami with a bigger budget, Quentin Tarantino would be the prefect director for it.
Absolute banger dude just phenomenal the cinematography was top notch the drone shots really make it stand out
Just incredible
Love how you incorporated plot elements/points from the game with your own original story
Someone should make a custom campaign for this movie on hotline Miami 2
Fuck this was awesome!! So good to still see hotline miami stuff coming out today!
I enjoy that you put your own unique spin on the story
choreography, acting, all really good, with a little bit higher of a budget then maybe this could become a whole ass movie
Wooooow!!! U did It!!! It's amazing ur work. Great job!! Thank for this short film:)
as a guy who never played hotline this was great for a youtube shortfilm
This was such a good watch, didn't know about this until now and so glad I watched it through to the end. I am a huge fan of the hotline miami series and this brought back so many memories.
That shit was fucking awesome. I love how you guys shot the mirror scenes 🗣🗣
I love that people are still making fanfilms for this game 11 years later.
I like term "Short Film" when video have 44 minutes, this have to be masterpiece, when being so humble, let's watch!
Edit: After watching the film, i can tell, you had many fun doing it, even if many things are uncanon, but it was intended, isn't it? it's really good interpretation, the only thing i didn't liked was protagonist being called "Jacket", which is name given by community and i'm not even sure if this name existed in files in HM1, and jacket being just Richard would give even for this changed story some example of him getting insane from all that shit. I love the camera, so much beautiful frames, those driving scenes... Acting sometimes quite weird but for homemade low budget film it was great, melee fighting scenes were candy for eye - ingenious and numerous, and the last one but best, performance of Calvin Thibault, it couldn't be better, you picked really good person for this. I really wish you, that this film boom in views, who knows, maybe someone new see it, and will play original game?
Usually short films are about this long, full length films these days can be 2 hours or even 3 haha
Reading this really warms my heart. The time you took to give us your honest impartial feedback is an honor to me, and I’m beyond grateful that everyone is really enjoying it so far. Thank you so much .
I like to think his nickname is canonically just “jacket” because of his iconic jacket
Algorithm, take this man to the top of the charts IMMEDIATELY!
I AM TEN MINUTES IN AND THIS IS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!
God, I wish that the vfx were better. But that’s totally overshadowed by the cinematography and the BEAUTIFUL action sequences. Already love it
Hotline Miami content in 2023 makes me Tony on my Richard until I richter all over the place
Wow -- totally blown away by this! Excellent job!
This was really phenomenal. You captured the game perfectly. I liked how you did the plot in your own way though. Really well done!
BRO HAS READ MY MIND WHAT I WAS GOING TO DIRECT IN THE FUTURE BRAVO TO THIS FLIM
Bro really nice.
Nowni want a proper full length proper funded Hotline Miami movie and a second one
There’s a project called midnight forever which is based on hotline which you should definitely checkout as it’s been in development for almost 4 years now maybe more
Second hallucination scene transition was so fire holyyy
NICE FILM, 9/10!!! WAITING FOR THE SECOND PART!
That was awesome, thanks for making that
Haven't finished yet, but i'm surprised this exists, amazing job!!
Very interesting! LOVE YOU JACKET!
I love you Tammy!!!
this is incredible, the creator is an artist,he created a masterpiece with a really low budget.i hope i see more videos like this in the future
the cinematography is excellent. video has been favorited.
ive been obsessed with hotline miami for a while and this film is so fucking good
Outstanding work!!
Cool stuff. Yet I think that masked person should be voice-overed, that would be more mystic, since all of them is kind of hallucinations
Dude I literally just started playing hotline miami 2 again, what the hell is this witchcraft
Nostalgia hits harder than moon dust
Frickin' dope :D
Thank you for such short movie! As worth as the game.
for a moment i thought the story was following Biker.
Edit: I have LEDs in my room so every time Jacket killed someone I would flash the lights red and cyan then go back to white, just like the games background! it was neat.
This short film have 1000 times less budget than average netflix film but looks better, bravo!
So cool to see someone really has this atmosphere, the real one
Great job 👏
