Idk man... I've done just about every survival style pack. From the fanny pack, to the water bottle setup you got, to inch bag, Bob bag, mini containers, belt setups... And now I've narrowed it down to 2 setups. An inch bag and a go bag. The small setups like you got just can't keep everything you really need.

Tea instead of coffe is probably smarter. You get a slighter "kick" from it, but still a morale boost and decrease thirst while coffe tend to drive the water from your body faster. Tea bags can also be used several times and can even be used for some emergency medical situations. Koffeine pills may be useful in very specific situtions, but in a majority of my own cases, I was happy for all sleep I could get. When training, the ammount of good sleep we got showed how well we did and how well we used our skills. Going on koffeine pills to push things may be risky, sometimes it is better to be slow and stop work when the essentials for shelter is done and then try to sleep instead. Next day, more work can be done in the daylight. Obviously it is all very siturational and sometimes you dont have a choice and just have to suck it up (been there also...). The bandana could provide some basic short range signaling and if dark, the flashlight could also be used for some signaling... but aside from that I think this survival kit lack on signaling. Most have a whistle for example. Great for signaling even within separated team members.

The Mylar blanket idea is one of the best I have seen thus far and this video is 2 years old. I hate the idea of planning to repair kit pieces because they are junk but the reinforcing ahead to save space is pretty damn smart. I've always wondered why people didn't use that open space inside the container. EYEDROPS! I have to use them daily for allergies but never thought about throwing a bottle in my kit. I've noticed you've added tape to anything that can....smart. I learned a lot from this video so thank you for sharing your knowledge.

That's a nice kit. I have the same mask, but with the drinking tube, and the same hazmat suit. The masks are Italian and they're used by several military groups around the world. They're also rated for ballistic resistance. That's not to say they're bullet-proof, though. The transparent polycarbonate face piece is designed to resist shrapnel. The mask does weigh a bit more than most other masks, though, but that's the trade-off for being a full-visor mask that's tougher than most (if not all) other masks. For my suit, I bought a pack of five self-adhesive patches, by the company called "Stormsure". They're a bit pricy, but I know they work. (I've helped someone else to use them.) They stick straight away, and they don't come off, so make sure they're lined up exactly where you want them. Duct tape is great, but Kappler Chemtape is even better, because it's specifically designed for use with chemical suits, because it's chemically-resistant. (Shop around, though, because the prices vary wildly!) -You've reminded me that I still need to buy some Chemtape! I invested in a pair of proper hazmat over-boots and hazmat gloves. Like the seal on the 400/3 BB mask, the gloves and overboots are made from butyl rubber. I gave a Geiger counter, too. That's one of the first things I bought, a few years ago. I went with a Terra-P + (Terra-P Plus). It's a bit more sensitive than the regular Terra-P Geiger Counters that they use for tours of Chernobyl. Terra-P is a personal dosimeter. That means it reads using micro Sieverts. A Sievert is a unit of measurement used to indicate how much radiation our bodies absorb. It's known as a "dose equivalent" reading. (Presumably, your personal dosimeter reads in the same way). Personally, I regard a personal dosimeter is an essential tool. I have a few other bits in my CBRN kit, including things for decontamination: Sterilised water ampoules for wound cleaning, a bare of pure soap for washing the body and hair of any radioactive particulates. I also have military decontamination pads filled with fuller's earth powder, for cleaning clothing and equipment, and a squeeze bottle of fuller's earth that's used for areas that the pads can't reach, such as joins in equipment housing. Fuller's earth is designed for chemical decontamination. It's not needed for radioactive particular contamination. Along with a few other items in my kit, I bought a British army "CBRN Tactical Aide Memoir". It's a small file folder with extremely concise instructions for using all CBRN equipment, including drills for donning and doffing, decontaminating, using chemical detection tape and chemical detection paper etc.

way too much stuff, are you trained to carry this weight over a distance on one shoulder. like already mentioned, a ruck would be more suitable. doubled items candling devices, cutting tools, zip ties, fe rod and cordage make no sense in my humble opinion, if not cross loaded. if you loose the bag, you also loose your redundancies. you made some pretty good considerations though, but I think it is over packed...

As an EMT I'm going to tell you to ditch the chest decompression needle. It isn't needed, you won't use it and in order to use it you have to not only be trained but have extensive practice. Even in the EMS world the liklihood of us ever using one is pretty low. You can kill someone with it if you do it wrong. I don't understand why preppers feel the need to have medical gear that goes beyond their scope of training. Does it make you feel cool or something to have it? Proper BLS skills are far more important to have than ALS skills and BLS equipment will save far more lives and be far more beneficial than the ALS equipment you have just for the "cool factor". And before someone chimes in and says "well I got it in case a trained person needs it" I'll be the first to tell you, as a trained person, that no provider will ever ask to use your equipment. They aren't going to jeopardize their license and their job by using your stuff. Much better ways to spend your money. Judging by your kit, you definitely bought based on cool factor rather than necessity. Radiation detector? Faraday bag? Please. The whole thing about EMP's has been grossly exaggerated. A tool pouch which has turned into a junk drawer. No organization, no thought. Do you even have skills to use that stuff? Judging by how neat and shinny it is, you've clearly never used it or practiced with it.

Have you ever attended SERE training? I have Im a 16 year disabled combat veteran Just because you can go a week without food and “survive” doesn’t mean you would want to if you can avoid Same goes for water at 3 days By day two with no water your organs are shutting down with a lot of detrimental biological changes going on in your body As for food, the thinner you are the more you will feel the biological effects of no food much sooner This is a time where having some extra stored fat would benefit you tremendously So for those that are a bit overweight, your good to go longer Know how to procure food from your environment by way of edible plants etc. A survival fishing kit would fit in there and could actually replace some of the things you currently have there you don’t need But also, there are high calorie smaller options you should look into You have an entire empty bottle there going into it And then you can carry the bottle when filled with clean filtered water and use the space in the condor to hold your food rations for at least 72 hours I don’t see any way to directly procure food however you can use the fishing wire in your survivor cord along with those Bobby pins and fashion a fishing kit And you talk about creating shelter With what directly that your carrying there? You can of course fashion shelter from what you gather in the environment however that will be at a great expense of calories on top of what you utilizing while under normal activity Think in terms of a vehicle that’s a gas guzzler you’ll run out of gas that much sooner I’m just struggling to understand what you intend to accomplish with this kit and for how long over what distance to what destination This is first video of yours I’ve checked out Gonna take in some more Lot of cool gear though ✌️🇺🇸

The sharp contrast is that Central/South American immigrants carry the following; Mylar blankets Water bottles and sodas Lots of snacks, and a lot of tuna Cellphone An attack tool i.e. hammer (mostly to ward off danger on the Mexican side) Trash bags Broken multi-tools. They carry all of this in cheap backpacks. They wear multiple layers of clothing. Leggings are popular among both men and women. Women carry deodorant, nail polish, shampoo, and makeup. Men carry deodorant and supplements. On occasion, you'll have a man come in with a padded bra and panties in his backpack.

If you bought a couple Orca ones It comes with a shoulder strap , it has a top carrying handle and a bottom zipper pouch to put like a can of tuna or chicken in it . I put a can of chicken and pack chicken Romain noodles in a side molle pouch I attached on the other side and make chicken noodle soup . My handle ripped on the one I used the most and gentleman from Orca sent me a new one and another one that I have I lost the strap , I called to see if I could buy a new strap and he sent me a new water bottle pouch with the strap , super cool owner . Plus there just a bit larger and the Customer care rules . I had a condor one but gave it to my buddies boy . They may be a little more money but you get what you pay off it and more .
