Pinning your jeans..? .. h.s. girls all up here whould clothes pin there jeans to make the cuffs slim jeans basically...
I remember my days at the Steeplegate Mall in Concord NH. Now closed and set to be torn down. Burger king, had Sbarro's a friend of mine worked there, so good back then. OJ, Manchu Wok, Pretzel time, Mrs. Fields for a bit. Where we would all meet on a Friday/Saturday night. Never thought I would see it end like this.
I was born in early 70, grew up in 80s and thats beautiful era i guess
...80's. You come In at a 12 y.o. and leave a 22 y.o. large life jump, no...? Lol
You had me at "friendship bracelets.." we used to call them dead head bracelets...the girls would sell them on tour
How about the “Kids from C.A.P.E.R.” Saturday mornings wasn’t complete without it.
What no Sarah Douglas as Ursa Superman II (1980)
Shame you couldn't extend the time window by just two years. Sharron Stone in Basic Instinct blows them all out of the water. But that was 1992. Beautiful, sexy, seductive, manipulative, and just plain evil. Catherine Tramell was a villain on another level. Apart from the sex and nudity and everything, it was a damn good clever movie. The pause button got a workout when she crossed her legs but that sells the rest of it short by miles. They set out to make a movie where all the significant dialogue and action, happened while people were either partially or totally naked. If the censors cut the nudity ~ you had no story left to show. That was done very deliberately. It's a little bit like a who-dunnit, except the question is, is she going to get away with it? Because the further into it you go, the more likely it looks that she will.
To be honest, the word “sexy” isn’t exactly what one can describe today’s version of “women”… Most women today play the victim card and the other half aren’t even REAL WOMEN! 🤔
that looks like Judith Barsi 7:56 rip
All the 1980 cartoons had teaching messages. All of them had messages to teach us about our behavior as kids. Also heman, Thundercats and bravestarr. Eventually all the Filmation's anime
Terrible list.
Mood rings were around in the 1970s!!
Forgotten? Not. If you were a kid back then, then chances you remember all of those. How about The Lost Saucer (1975-1976)? That was totally forgettable, ha. It starred Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi who played as dorky robots. It was a Sid and Marty Krofft production. Also, Bigfoot and Wildboy was another forgettable TV series from 1977 and was yet another sucky Sid and Marty Krofft production.
Joey Scarbury's "Believe it or not" is one of my favorite songs ever. It was the first record I got on a 45.
Sbarro had great pizza for a mall food court place. Huge slices, and it tasted great!
Food Lion is still here in fact they bought out bi-lo
I was 10 yrs old in 1974, and remember all these things!
Mood rings were from the 70s, not the 80s.
posted 1 month ago and 2 stores are closing, big lots and party city
I love hanging my clothes
No mention of Rheingold? The name still exists at times, but the original is long gone.
Something tells me that there are 300 million pounds of jelly shoes rotting in landfills right now.
I still will sing the HR Puffinstuff theme song in my mind from time to time. Amazing how some thinks stick with you as you age...😁
All that, and yet, when I am in public in 2024, I see the vast majority of miserable, unhappy, damaged people in my midst.
What's IBA mean?
This voice hurts 🤕😭
Spencer’s is still in every mall I have ever been to.
Love this; however surprised you didn't mention a few things: 1) The secret of Isis as you showed a clip was a spin off off SHAZAM! Boys yelled that girls said, the Isis chant. 2) shazam rebooted in movie series so not forgotten. 3) compared Street Hawk to Knight Rider but not enclude as a forgotten hero. And I watched the show wishing Silver Hawk woild team up with him. (the Japanese female version for those that don't know). 4) Before Blue Thunder there was Airwolf. 5) before Future Cop was Six Million Dollars Man they as you repeated covered same man vs Technology topics. 6) Electra Woman & Dyna Girl was rebooted therefore not forgotten. 7) Voyagers was the United States attempt at a Doctor Who at that time. They didn't get it then and don't get it now. That's why all our time travel related heroes flop. Closest to get it wad Quantum Leap and that stalled and the reboot sucks. I keep calling Voyagers by the wrong name "Time Bandits". Love the video though. Cute how the younger generation sees our shows.
Despite all the dangers, like smoking, people seemed to be healthier back then.
You forgot that little room just inside the front door., for changing out of winter clothes and boots. I think it was called a "foy- air" (missed spelled)
Also known as a mud room, though mud rooms are usually at the back entrance.
AQUANET HAIR SPRAY from F/M (Southgate,Mi)
My Dad still wears his MEMBERS ONLY JACKET (SNUG)
charm necklaces
I have had candy cigarettes but they were gum and powder sugar so it wasn’t as dangerous (in like 2020)
Hot Sam's gooey yellow cheese was the best.
Street Sharks was an updated TMNT clone. Mutant League and Conan deserved to be on list over SS. CP, Mighty Max, and the others were goo though. "Ziv Zulander, ZZ for short You know I fight the corp. Im the Botz master".
Our home has a milk door and we didn't know what it was. We moved from a modern tract home to a 1928 Ranch and we thought this was for access to the plumbing LOL
While I appreciate the history, please get your decades right! Aqua Net made it name in the 60’s. Big hair in the 80’s, Yes! But no one had blue hair! The Popped Collar POPPED in the 50’s, James Dean! 😏 Mood Rings, 70’s 🤷♀️
Whoever made this video must be very young, probably born in the 90s or 2000s. I can't believe how many times he mentioned "in the eighties" like all this stuff was common in the 80s. My mom had a carousel type clothesline back in the early 60s. Also, wood paneling was much more common in the 1960s than the 80s. My parents had a house built in the mid 60s and it had a lot of wood paneling in it. We also had all electric appliances including washer, dryer, and dishwasher. This video makes it sound like we were living like pioneers!
Jelly shoes are still very popular today
Pigs eye?
Dont remember slap bracelets. We wore these plastic ones though. In stacks. My neighbors had fake c.patch kids African American which were hard to find.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s in northern Ca. We were not allowed to dump garbage in the rivers and lakes. We took our garbage to the local dump.
Clothes lines were so popular as a kid, seemed like many used these to dry their clothes. Not sure when my family bought a dryer. But actually air drying your clothes is better for them as dryers usually tear your clothes apart.
I love minced meat pie
Im 66
Most of those places I've never heard of
I remember hearing and seeing about half of these brands of beer along with Burgermeister Beer with the guy wearing the Napoleon hat on the can.
