3:31 I just had a plain old tricycle in the 1960s. But my next in line brother got a Big Wheel when it came out. Honestly my tricycle was faster, more maneuverable and better constructed, but the Big Wheel was way cooler. 🤣

“Lite Brite, making things with light.
Outta’ sight, making things with Lite Brite!”
I still find myself humming that tune as it plays in my head. Yeah, Lite Brite sure was a classic!
Thanks for sharing your experience! 👍🤗

Water pump rockets were my thing in the 70s. You would fill the hollow plastic rocket with water halfway, mount it on the hand pump, and then start pumping air in until you could no longer operate it. Flip the catch, and then BOOM...instant water-powered rocket to the moon! Or at least about 30 feet up...:). Of course, you usually got soaked in the process, which was a bonus on a hot summer day.

Had a ton of these toys! Such great memories. The Barbie Dream house shown here was the one from the 80’s I believe? Maybe even 90’s 🤔 I had the one from the 1970’s it was yellow and orange and looked a lot different

I still have the Weebles Haunted House. The glow-in-the-dark ghost and the witch are gone, though (I have 4 younger siblings).

Stretch Armstrong got pierced inside my toy box, and the gel glued some of my other toys to the bottom of my toy box (mostly Legos but some good toys too). I cried when my dad said we couldn't get them loose. I still had the Stretch Monster, and I made sure he didn't go inside the toy box. 😂

I had an Evel Kienvel stunt rider toy!! Loved it!! And my dad got me an Evel Kienvel bike when I was old enough to ride one! It was the greatest gift ever...until the next new toy came out!! 😂

If I may be the bearer of GOOD news (for a change), so be it. Let me just say these two good things that happened for me during my recent trip to the local mall.
    1. It was busy! Even I, who had grown disenchanted with my trips, was jazzed.
And 2. On he shelves of the toy store, I spied a “Simon” computer game! I don’t know if it’s going through some kind of renaissance or something, I only know that I was absolutely thrilled!
Don’t stop believing, folks. Good things do still exist! 🤗

Can anyone who owned and managed to break a stretch armstrong confirm if he was actually filled with maple syrup if you were able to finally tear him open?

Mine got pierced in my toy box, and the gel glued a bunch of other toys to the bottom of the toy box. Mine wasn't filled with maple syrup, but I don't know about the ones sold in Canada or Vermont.
