I feel the same! Went to Osaka 3 times cos so many people raved about it. The 1st two times, I hated it. For the 3rd time, I even stayed 2 weeks as I was determined to find out why people loved it. I can now confirm - I hate Osaka. Dirty, rough, old. So many areas just felt "coarse" and "unrefined". I actually realised it's cos on the triangle spectrum from Japan to Korea to China, Osaka is closer to the Korean/Chinese sides of the triangle. I enjoy Korea and China, but not as much as Tokyo/Kyoto.

I can emphatize with you. Wanted to buy food/drinks on board on another low cost airline recently but I didn’t have the right currency nor a credit card (I use debit cards like you). Just pre book food next time (couldn’t because it was my friend who booked for me with his email address and didnt want to bother him). Sorry to hear about the train tickets. Maybe you could’ve gotten a train card that could be used multiple times? Haven’t been to BKK in ages though. Mixue is in several South East Asian countries. Enjoy Asia, Ben!

Hi, Ben! Happy New Year! 🍀 Back to watching your videos. So happy you finally got to visit Taiwan. Been to the southern part twice this year and just overnight in Taipei. What you heard is the Hokkien language, also one of the languages in Southern Fujian. More than half (70%?) of the Taiwanese have roots in Fujian. Hence, their shared language (though with Taiwanese Hokkien has its nuances). My paternal grandparents were from Fujian. I hope you can visit other parts of Taiwan as well but in the meantime enjoy and safe travels on the places in your Asian line up. 😊

I love being in a hot tub when it's 30-40F or I guess -1 to 4C. I don't consider that cold. But I know a lot of people around the world have a very low tolerance for temperature variance.

Hi . Enjoyed your videos quite chilled and relaxed unlike some who just moan about everything possible. I'm looking at two options for Spirit and the Dawn for next month. I keep seeing g however that NCL are continually cancelling ports and wanted to get some more Insight . I'm looking at Cape Town on Dawn Singapore Spirit .

I really wanted to go on this cruise, prices and the destinations were amazing. Unfortunately prices for flights from and back to Europe wasn't as amazing. They were really expensive. Hopefully another time 😊
