I don't care that there is no Western democracy in China, that is, having to go and vote for people nobody knows every few years. What I care about is that I can't go out for a walk in the afternoon, much less at night, even down the street outside my house. If this is the freedom that democracy gives us, thanks but no thanks, if I had the chance to go and live in China I wouldn't hesitate for a second.

HI Ben! I was there in Shanghai 2 weeks ago. I really love Shanghai its a magical city, the most beautiful city in the world I've ever been. I'll definitely come back again next year.
What you are showing us is soooo different than we see in US news. I had such negative feelings about China, but you have totally changed how I feel about China. Such an amazing and beautiful country. I do want to go for a visit and experience their culture. Thanks for doing what you do.
@@pamelahaskin9738 it’s a shame that the media likes to lie about China 😁 I wasn’t in any danger, very clean streets, kind people, affordable food and transport. But you won’t see that on the US news. Go and see for yourself if you get the chance, Pamela 😁

Hi, Ben, nice to see you return to Shanghai for a visit. Would like to see you catch up with your old friends there as a return resident rather than a tourist. Enjoy your next adventure.
Ben, it might be worth mentioning that the 144 hour/six day visa free entry is only valid if you're travelling on to a third country. It's a transit visa, so you can't use it to fly there from the UK, stay six days, then fly straight back to the UK. Your final destination has to be different from your countey of origin. It's like a six day stopover on the way to somewhere else. You're also limited to where you can visit while on a 144 hour transit visa, which is determined by your arrival port. You're not free to just go running all over China for six days! 😊
