How to get a Magic Mobility 360 stuck.....!
This is purely an entertainment focused video on the Magic Mobility 360 powerchair. We put the chair through several offroad tests to measure just how good it is!
Yes, as always, there are A LOT of factors to consider and there could be a options on the chair to improve it's performance. However, this the setup we had so we thought it'd be interesting to explore. This also happens to be quite common spec so could relate to a lot of users.
As always, please feel free to get in touch in the comments or via our website, link below -

WOLTURNUS W5S!! - REVIEW AND TEST
มุมมอง 4608 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video we explore the relatively new to market Wolturnus W5S rigid, active manual wheelchair. Although I'm not a wheelchair user, I'm hoping this will benefit those who may not be exposed to the product, giving you an in depth review of the chair and brand. As this chair a completed tailored, bespoke setup, I would most likely recommend the chair to an existing user. Saying that, there a...

AUTO CLAMPING POWER ASSIST! PAWS by Rehasense

This auto-clamping power assist really does set itself apart from the competition. There are many options currently available on the market but no front attached, power assist has the option to automatically attach itself to the users wheelchair. In this video we explore the PAWS Power assist 'auto, auto'. Manual attachment is an option however, naturally as this is more unique, we thought it'd...
MAGIC MOBILITY 360! - FULL REVIEW

In this video we take out the brand new Magic Mobility 360 MWD powerchair for a full test review. This time around I ask my wonderful friend and client to join me to put the chair through it's paces. My client already has both an F5VS and Extreme X8 so it was interesting to hear her comments on the 360. I did try and highlight in the video, the Magic 360 is NOT a comparable product to any Permo...
OFF-ROAD TESTING PT2 - BATTLE OF THE MWD

In this video we revisit MWD off-road testing. This time though we introduce two other competitors in the market, the Permobil M3 Corpus and the Dietz Sango Advance MWD. The TDX SP2 NB is unchanged from last time however the Q500M has been fitted with larger motors and big, 14" pneumatic tyres. MAGIC MOBILITY EXTREME X8 - BEACH TEST
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
You may or may not have seen the previous video of the Magic Mobility Extreme X8 (link below) where we tested the chair through the woodland and over muddy inclines. This time we thought we'd take it to the beach to see how it tackled sand. I appreciate that this is a fairly firm beach but even so, most chairs would only dig in rather than simply glide over. As mentioned in the video, one way t...
PROGEO EGO CUSTOM - A RIGID WHEELCHAIR THAT FOLDS...??

I wish we had these types of go anywhere wheelchairs here in the USA where I live. Do you have any dealers in the United States over here like in or near Missouri. The electric wheelchair I just bought gets stuck on grass in my yard, and even tho I have not tested this idea yet but the electric chair I have now might get stuck if I drove it over a picture of the grass that's in my yard. I found out my electric wheelchair it's only for flat level floors and concrete sidewalks but I live in a rural country setting and if I want to see the outdoors I have to look out a window. An this is not living to me, I want my life and freedom back. Does your company have any dealers in the USA, an if so, where are they located at. Thank you

Atleast this one chair doesn't get STUCK when the tires touch the grass like the jazzy wheel (junk) chair I have. I can not take it outside, I live in the rural country and I don't have concrete sidewalks to ride on. I have a wood porch an after that is a wood ramp that lets me get to the yard and the grass but when my chair's tires touch the grass it is stuck on level ground and it just spins. If you are in Missouri in USA and live in the country, don't buy a Jazzy wheelchair if you think about getting outdoors to enjoy nature, you can't with a jazzy like I have. I'm been a prisoner in my bedroom for past 3 years. Im holding back what I truly feel in my heart and want to say. I know there are many more people just like me who got screwed over in life an we didn't do anything wrong. I just want to find a wheelchair that i go go outside with and not worry about not getting back safely, or able to even go without having to crawl back on my elbows. I can't go on like I have for past 3 years, it's not worth it at all.

I get mine stuck all the time. One issue is the force required to overcome the caster rotation of changing direction . If stuck going forward there is no chance of revering to try and get out again. I have the intermediate tyre as used in the video. Also easy to overheat the motors on gravel inclines or even through a meadow.

I like using the top of the joystick when carrying say a glass of water in that hand. I can hold the glass with the thumb and 3 fingers and control the chair with my pinkie finger. So i can carry a plate in the left hand and my drink in the right hand. My chair, the nipple always comes off of the joystick if i control it at the base of the joystick. That's a flaw with the Jazzy chairs. I like the thrill of going down a steep hill forward. And I'm somewhat ambulatory so i don't use a seat belt. But I've never fallen out on a hill. I tore my house up learning to use my chair, drywall, door frames, took 3 doors completely off. They were the cheap, thin doors on the bedrooms. One bump and they fall apart, so i just took them down and i use curtains for the bedroom doorways. Well, really just the one bedroom i sleep in. I left the other 2 bedrooms open. Just finally fixed and repainted my hallway which was the space with the most damage from learning to use the chair. I did all the work myself in my chair, which was a challenge to say the least. Thanks

Stating the obvious is OK. You did answer a question that always nagged at me: How can a wheelchair with less tubing weight more than a chair with more tubing--everything else equal? (At least that's how they are listed on wheelchair selling sites.) No one else has bothered mentioning that the tubing is thicker. It's not obvious in all the pictures. I always assumed the same tubing was used to make both chairs, so thank you for that. Mono-tube for me, only for ease of putting it in the back seat and is much easier to put my backpack and cushion in the open space "under the wheelchair". Also, I have a fabric sling that hangs underneath my chair. When I go grocery shopping, I can load 3 or 4 2L bottles of Diet Coke there which is very handy. The cross bracing would get in the way for getting it in my car and for putting things underneath. This vid was worth the watch, so I gave you a like.

could you possibly go through Quickie vs. Permobil the F-M-R models performance wise. I'm going to get a new power wheelchair, it might be a Quickie 500, from what I can read, the Quickie has slightly better specifications than the Permobil. I am in doubt whether to choose an M or F model. I am an outdoor person, what is your experience and recommendation. Today I have a foldable power chair with the drive wheel in the back. This was a very helpful video. It answered many of my questions. One of my concerns is getting water & mud into the electronics while in these kinds of areas. Is the underside of the 360 watertight? And my other question is about cleaning the tires and casters. Can you use a hose and not worry about the electronics getting soaked?

    • @clinicalmobilitysolutions2131
      @clinicalmobilitysolutions2131 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you so much for getting in touch! I'm so glad the video was beneficial. I would always recommend avoiding puddles and large areas of water as you're never sure where the water ends up! That being said, the battery undertray is water tight so if needed, it would be fine. Although it's a little more effort, I would always use a brush, water spray and cloth for the wheels as a hose could allow water to access the top of the battery tray. One other thing to mention is if you ever get caught out in the rain, always ensure you dry the electronics down and where possible, store in a warm dry environment. Hope this helps

Just gotta say I really appreciate the "Top Gear" quality content. As a power wheelchair user in the US, we're expected to live our lives within the limitations of the device rather than the other way around. Likewise, we're expected to make our choice of chair based upon the canned information that the manufacturers provide. It almost makes me emotional to see someone treating the subject with this degree of practicality and respect for those of us who try to lead active lives. If I had a dollar for every time a repair tech told me they never seen this or that part wore down in x amount of time... Anyways, keep up the great work!

I am desperate to see a video of parking a powerchair inside different buses. I ride a Quickie 300 mini chair. My local bus only has entry at the front by the driver's end door. A tight squeeze passageway to park behind the stairs of the double decker. There is a vertical pole next to the tiny bay so you cannot reverse like a car. you have to pass it and then reverse into the space avoding riding over the seated passenger's toes. They usually won't move their feet even when I ask nicely. The single decker buses are the same. It is a nightmare. I would esp like to see a video showing someone parking inside a London bus that uses the middle exit door when they board as I am planning a trip to London UK and petrified of using the transport. I would also like to see a powerchair boarding a London black taxi too if possible .... and especially getting out of the taxi. 4 Apr 24.

Come on now...with each growth spurt is not a simple adjustment. New parts are going to be required. For instance the depth changes. That is going to come with needing new side guards...and new wheels....possibly new brakes. Also, those castors are horrible. Obviously new caster forks are going to be needed when those are changed for wider wheels. I mean come on.

Hello! So sorry for not getting back to you sooner, thank you so much for getting in touch though. The Q300M Mini has a backrest recline function but not the ability to lie flat. The backrest recline is also not anti-shear so the backrest essentially moves away from you as it reclines. The contoured backrest is very comfortable and offers sufficient lateral stability, this combined with the tension adjustment makes it a good option. Saying that, with your back injury, I would recommend establishing the correct level of support needed first through a clinician/physio before deciding on the chair. Hope this helps

I'm hopefully getting the Q500 very soon, so it was nice to see it perform so well. I will unfortunately have the standard tyres on it, because I need solid tyres but I think I'll still manage, and I want the peace of mind of not having to worry about punctures.

Thanks for the comment Ash. Ah yeah, it should still perform well, the vibrations will increase and you'll have a slight reduction in traction but that will only be in extreme circumstances. No punctures is always a good thing!! Hopefully it arrives very soon, enjoy

Standing is so important! Bone-density loss will come to haunt all SCI's if standing is ignored. My injury happened in 1980, I was twenty-three years old. Standing wheelchairs arrived after my legs were broken a few years apart. Some buddies built a corner in our home that enabled me to stand with one-person assistance in the early days. Twenty-two years after my SCI was damaged several post-injury accidents forced me into power wheelchairs. My 2014 Permobil C500 (2,700 miles) stays charged as my back-up chair. A F5 Permobil is near delivery, but no standing as explained. I have experienced several group three PWC's, but my Permobil has outperformed all others. Permobil now use two-pole motors across the board and make their own batteries. Tires, batteries, and upholstery replacements define my Permobil experience - highest quality available. This new Permobil has a working suspension - maybe 4,000 - 5,000 miles expected.

I got mine last week. Ive found it's slower than my Salsa. Do differerly priced ones go at different speeds or is it something rhe eheelchair service can change? I love how narrow it is. It makes transferring much easier and safer. The adjusrable dootresrs are also great. But, what is with the sticky out bat at the back?

Hello! Thank you for getting in touch. Yes, there are a variety of different motor/speed options illustrated on the prescription form so it is quite likely that you could have smaller or slower motors on your new chair. Either that, or the speed settings can be adjusted and reprogrammed if safe to do so. Hope that helps
