PROGEO EGO CUSTOM - A RIGID WHEELCHAIR THAT FOLDS...??

- In this video we review the Italian built Progeo Ego Custom folding wheelchair. In most situations I am very biased towards rigid wheelchairs over folding wheelchairs due to their weight saving and performance benefits. However, there maybe one exception with this brilliantly designed Progeo Ego. The way in which the folding mechanism works is fantastic and absolutely rivals many entry level active chairs.
I hope this video is helpful, if you do require any further information then please get in touch through the links below. Thank you.

I really liked the way the gentleman went about explaining the chair and the stiffness of the frame. The photograph was exalent that shows very clearly what he is explaining. The both work well together. The wheelchair is beautiful, just beautiful. I must have missed it, but what material is the chair made of? Ted
Thank you so much for getting in touch Ted! We're really glad you enjoyed the video, it's not always an easy thing to produce! Sorry if I didn't mention it but the Ego Custom is made of a high grade, light-weight aluminium. They do also do a carbon frame option but I'd say that was more for aesthetics rather than a dramatic weight saving. Many thanks
great folding wheelchair
It really is Imran, do you have one?
You can tell he's not Disabled by the way he pushes the chair. We don't do those tiny pushes. His pushing style is uneconomical. I would prefer to buy from a fellow wheelchair user.
Any time Wheelchair user for the win :))
That's awesome!! Im curious tho.. is there a chair company that is willing to make, or fix my electric chair so that i can get around with my head laying equal to my heart?? I cant lift my head more then a few inches above my heart or i hav a V. Response an its not pretty... My chair lays all the way back.. but if i do it won't move at all.. plz help.. been stuck in this hospital bed since i had an aortic dissection a few years back.. an im loosing it.. i gota get out of this house.. even just for a little bit..
Thank you for getting in touch. So sorry to hear the predicament that you're in. There are powerchairs available that will allow you to drive in a lie flat position, however this is mainly controlled by an attendant. I would suggest contacting your supplier to discuss the option of reprogramming the chair in order to allow to drive in that position as that's normally the only thing preventing it, either that or a simple micro switch. Hope you don't mind me asking but are you UK based?
