Thank you for the side by side comparison review. I have been debating between the R1T and R1S. I came from many SUVs in previous years but since then I have had 5 trucks since then and still own a GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. I see the benefits of the R1T but I also like that extra internal space of the R1S. I think since it is usually just my wife and I plus I do use the bed a lot, then I will probably lean toward the R1T Truck.

I am test driving a Y over the weekend, I can’t decide between a 3 and a Y. I have a 50 mile commute each way and the wife likes space.

Assuming that the truck is not plugged into a charger, how much battery does preconditioning take. Is is more or less that the efficiency gained preconditioning?

Nice work on the video! I agree with you. Also, glad you specifically pointed out the Libby app! Love that for audio books. How is the wireless CarPlay connectivity? Does it just easily and on the first try? I have experienced some car OEMs with shotty car play over the years and the wireless connection was tough until they updated their software.

Very informative video. However, the one thing that caught my attention was The comparison with the ice vehicle and the EV range price. I notice a lot of EV reviewers will never compare it to a hybrid that gives over 50+ miles. Then the cost breakdown will be drastically different if not negligent. What do you think?

We are about to go this Friday and decide in person from 3 or Y. We currently had a 3 but was a victim of not at fault totaled accident. Wife prefers the Y despite the non upgrades but with future kids on the way I see her point. (I’ll miss the way the 3 drives tbh) can you send code? Thank you!

No offense intended but this is an abject failure on Rivian's part. 3 screens trying to do the same thing just so you can use technology that came out 10 years ago. Dudes have been using voice to text on Honda Civics since 2015!

I do like the mount on the left side I have it this way as well. However you are familiar that exa can do all that in the Rivian. Plus my gemini assistant on my phone does voice to textplus writing emails 😅

You can speak your navigation destination in the Rivian. “Alexa, navigate to Fat Tire Brewery in Ft. Collins,” and it’ll ask you to confirm your destination before putting it on the screen. Even if you don’t have “Premium Connectivity,” the vehicle will connect via WiFi to your phone’s hotspot and all of the apps that need internet will work as they would via Rivian’s LTE antenna.

If you like the Autopark, try Summon. You do need FSD but I love it and use FSD daily for my commute to work. Summon is great at the grocery store or lowes when you have heavier packages, etc. I live in Ohio and rain and cold are common so staying in the doorway while the car some is great. Check it ou!

You can also navigate hands free with the native Rivian app using Alexa commands.

You do realize that just using your iPhone in the Rivian, without all that extra CarPlay equipment, you can simply say "Hey, Siri - text my wife, I'll be home by 5" or, "Hey, Siri - open Waze and navigate to 1 Easy Street" etc. I do that in my Rivian, and even through my motorcycle helmet intercom while riding, all the time!

FYI I bought these devices with my own cash (EV Sportline offered a discount) so this is an honest review. Good products that I think I'll continue to use for a while.

2-1/2 hrs between stops…..are you kidding me? You think that’s all the farther you can/should go? That’s pathetic…..I’ve reserved the new Scout SUV but with the range extender engine so I’m doing some research on real world range/charging. I hope the hell the Scout can go more than 2-1/2 hours 😂😂😂

Great video! I see you mentioned you didn't use the normal jack, and used the ProEagle instead. How did you get the attachment on the pro eagle that you could use with the hole under the Rivian?
