It was a great drive, Scott. I had a blast. You always manage to catch me off-guard. Behind the scenes info - when Scott walked over and asked if I wanted to be on camera I had just taken a big bite of a peanut butter sandwich and was desperately trying to chew and swallow so I could sound intelligible on the mic. 🤣
Cool meetup. When you introduced the dual motor at the beginning i thought it was an actual customer. Bummed it was Rivian employees… not bummed about Jen and Dani… you know what I mean. Any more details about the dual motor?
Yeah, they wouldn’t let me drive it. And I was a little concerned that people would misunderstand the title, but I also wanted to make sure the dual motor is in there somewhere. Because, in fact, it was the first chance we had to see it.
@@RivianDad gotcha. well, at least you tried to drive it ;). i met Jen when they kicked off the tour in Seattle a few weeks back. insane how much driving they must be doing. anyways, thanks for your content as usual. great stuff.
Dual motor is a great set up. as a Quad owner of R1s.. really would challenge Rivian to lower the weight in next gen vehicles. The R1S would be more amazing vehicle with 500lbs+ less..
Yeah. Unfortunate. We don’t have the details still but whatever happened was after we split up as individuals. From everyone I’ve talked to there were no issues. And we were all very respectful and well organized. I can also imagine that anyone running into a sizable group like this could find a complaint no matter how hard we try. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t take it seriously and make adjustments for a better ride next time. Thx.
Special guests from Kyle Conner and 2 Rivians employees!!! So cool!
All of them very gracious, indeed.
That looked like fun!
Missed you! Next time.
What a great adventure! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Wish I could have been there. Hopefully I can make the next one after I get a replacement for my wrecked R1T.
Oh man, sorry to hear about that. Yes, when you’re back on your wheels, please join us.
Great video Scott!!! Wish i could have joined y'all!! Love the community (oh, and the vehicle is pretty good too 😁)
Next time!
Delightful! Thanks very much!
Thanks!

Did all the R1 have the undercarriage protection?
Not sure but judging by talking to several people, I would say less than half of the under body protection
❤❤❤

The new design in-house Rivian dual-motor, oil-cooled ones are what I want. Not the Bosch one.
How would you notice a difference?
Heard yall made some people not so happy.

I’ve been on worst roads than that in a flatbed tow truck come on down to the Arizona desert
That’s where I got my start 4 wheeling. Lived in Arizona till I was in college.
