How can I replace the Jetback of a Sundance Fluidix ST Jet? I have the issue that I had a leak, cause the self leveling washer was broken. To get the nut of and the jet out I think I will have to get the Jetback of. The question is how? Thanks a lot.

Why not just replace the switch in the housing vice putting in the whole new assembly? Just curious. Seems like an easier repair.

How clean do you get the backside/dry side when you prep for new silicone? Are you using a solvent to remove all the old stuff or just getting it mostly clean with a scraper?

This morning my spa was off. Checked the breaker and it was off too. Turned it on and got a FL2 code. I changed the filters 2 days ago, so I guessed there was an air lock. No biggie. Checked the circulation pump and it was running well. Turned on pump #1 and code disappeared. As soon as I tried to increase the temp from 101 to 103, I heard a spark noise and the spa turned off. I opened the control panel and found a trace of carbon around the heater connectors and the circuit board. I suspect I need to change the heater, but I wonder if the circuit board could have been damaged because of the short circuit. Any idea?

My flow switch is leaking at the screw part and not sure why. Is there anything I can do different?

Hi! We just installed a new gecko spa pack (in.ye-5 bundled system). After installation, we filled up the hot tub and turned it on. We immediately got a FLO error message. We did ALL the troubleshooting (checked all connections, opening all jets, removed filter, bled the pump, etc.). We even did the plunger trick you describe in this video. It did not work. The water flow is intermittent and we can hear the pump click on and off. When we try to put on the higher speed, it'll run for 5 seconds and automatically turn off (and the water flow is not any faster). We have a Bahama spa, 250 gallon capacity with one filter port and only two speeds (low and high) on the jets. We've had it for approximately 12 years, we've only replaced the pump once about 5 years ago (it is now a gecko XP2 pump). Can you give us any advice as we have certainly stumped the gecko technicians. By the way, we really like your channel.

So I have my breaker tripping I unhook heater it’s good. The heater tests ok any idea still change heater. I am not sure why it shows heater element good.

Water finds the fastest point of exit. Depending on how long it’s been leaking and how frequently the customer is refilling the spa tells us all we need to know.

Great video Scott...you are now my number 1 hot tub resource. I am in SE Florida and my tub sits in direct sun without any overhead protection. So it is subjected to a lot of sun and rain. I have a cover cap that I got on amazon for about $50.. While it does keep the tub hotter by retaining even more heat, it has really protected my cover. I only remove the cap every three months when I drain/refil (at which time I also remove the cover and clean top and underside of the cover). The cap lifts with the cover very easily. My cover is almost 4 years old and looks nearly brand new. Do you recommend caps over covers or just let it ride without one?

I have one where the circ pump is tripping the gfci. I put a new pump in it and it does the same thing. Tried a 3rd pump and it still trips it 10 seconds after it’s powered up. I don’t see any obvious issues with the relays or connections on the board. Think the board is bad?

Pretty sure you meant a nylon fitting not teflon. To any DIYers out there, tractor supply has a good selection of those nylon fitting/barbs.

All my jets work when I turn on the Jets the five Jets underneath the air filter that turns on every once in awhile to keep the hot tub hot is not working and I think the filter is not pulling water correctly how can I correct this

Hi I am having same problem. I have power at junction box from the gfi breaker with no short to ground. I have removed the elements checked resistance and short to ground, good with no blisters on outside. Hi limit and thermistor operation look normal when heated. I have a Balboa pack as well. History is just stopped heating. Everything else was okay. I will try disconnecting the heaters I believe I had 14.5 ohms on heater does that sound about right. Every thing else was unplugged just pack hooked up. Wish me luck Marc

Scott , sorry for the long comment, I have installed BP7 with a TP500 topside wasn't able to get the 2nd pump(1 sp) to fire(Aux). I was talking with a Tech support forgot to mention that on that pump 3 wire was on it I have 4 wire (grnd, wht, blk, red) which makes it a 2 speed wire corrct?but pump is 1 sp the wire I have is for a 2 speed but I left the red disconnected will this make a diff for it not firing? I had the 2 sp plug , pluged in pump 1 and the 1 sp cord plugged in pump 2 on expanstion brd wasn't able to get pump 2 (1sp) to fire. Tech thought I should have theTP600 I thought so as well.. but the seller wanted me to send in the entire unit..what a huge inconvenience Tech said i had everything connected correctly. and could be the topside or the expansion brd / or main brd faulty. I started wondering about that 2 sp cord on a 1 sp pump cord that came off of it. So Im sending back the entire unit in per the seller. Geeezz.. please help

My breaker was tripping immediately when turned on. I started diagnosing by disconnecting the various components and found that the circulation pump was causing the breaker to trip. So started going down the route of replacing my circ pump. Luckily, someone mentioned to me that a simple air lock could cause the breaker to trip from the circ pump. Sure enough, I removed my filters, tried the breaker again and it held. The pump wasn't bad, it was just air locked. So if you're in a similar situation try removing your filters first to see if that solves the issue.

The temp button on my Strong Spa is not responding to touch (the other buttons are working). We have ordered a new control panel, but there is a bit of lag time and we are a small exclusive hotel in the middle of nowhere and I really want the guests to be able to soak. It is stuck at around 82 degrees, everything else is working just fine, except that one dumb button. We have tried flipping the breaker, unplugging the cord to the topside control panel, unplugging the control panel itself and still...nothing. Thank you!

I'm running a 60 amp breaker for my hot tub and can I use number 6 for the run or do I use number 4? I know it's good for 55 amp's but no 4 won't fit in the hot tub terminal's?

Lot a times you get a shaft seal thats been leaking for a while,the shaft bearing usualy ends up being rusted out so its better off just replacing the whole jet pump...👍

I have not seen it, but have you ever had over chlorinated water kill grass from draining a hot tub?

I must have a one of a kind diverter valve because it's also a massive jet that sits below the water line. You can spin it in any direction with no stoppage pretty easily with jets on full . You will cycle through the diverter the first is the typical one side or the other then both and then they all shut down and it comes out the jet/diverter like a fire hose it even has its own air line its ridiculous 😂😂
