If interested. I bought the Knipex wire stripper. The one I bought has a full plyer nose. Man, they are the best I ever bought. I own several, and the last pair I liked was Milwaukee wire strippers. They have performed great. But Kinpex far exceeds them hands down.
Thanks Scott! After watching your videos I ran all my electrical to my hot tub. I had an electrician friend hook up the wires to the main panel. I got to nervous for that. It has been almost a year and everything works great! I couldn’t have done it without your videos. Seeing this video reminds me that I did it correctly. Thanks again
Great video. I did my own but my tub will trip the breaker if there is a load on it for a long period of time. I can’t have both pumps and heater running for more than 10 minutes or it will trip. Any ideas why?
I always try and, Neutral then hots. But if all is dead and disconnected it truly doesn't matter. In less the unforeseen strikes. That is what I wager against at all times.
The only time you use 6/3 is for inside of the house...you never use it out side ever... As for the wiring from the Sub to the Hot Tub you would use #6 THHN or THWN wire only on all four wires and you can not down size the ground wire! Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
@@spaman5440 Thanks so much for the help! I happen to have extra 6/3 wire so I’m glad I can use that. My hot tub instructions say the following for North America: “The minimum wire size for systems that require a 50A GFCI is # 8/3 c/w ground (also referred to as # 8 gauge / 4 conductor)” - Just curious, is that in reference to the wire from the sub to the hot tub or the wire to the main?
@@jacobsmith15 Ok lets start over ... I would never use 6/3 or 8/3 ever it will just cause problems? Romax wire always causes so many problems... Use #6 THHN or THWN wire (On all four wires do not down size the wire!) from the main to the hot tub
Thanks Scott for giving me the courage to do my electrical work on tub install. You are the man.
Great work
this is why I paid an electrician to do mine...it cost me 800 dollars 8 yrs ago but it was worth it...great explanation...thanks

I understand the 6/3 but why does nobody talk about the wire going to the hot tub? What wire is that? It's definitely not the same as the 6/3

Why the Romex 6/3 cause problems from the sub to the spa?
Would you be willing to take a few minutes and talk on the phone about a problem I'm encountering?
