Great video Scott...you are now my number 1 hot tub resource. I am in SE Florida and my tub sits in direct sun without any overhead protection. So it is subjected to a lot of sun and rain. I have a cover cap that I got on amazon for about $50.. While it does keep the tub hotter by retaining even more heat, it has really protected my cover. I only remove the cap every three months when I drain/refil (at which time I also remove the cover and clean top and underside of the cover). The cap lifts with the cover very easily. My cover is almost 4 years old and looks nearly brand new. Do you recommend caps over covers or just let it ride without one?
Great to hear more videos are in the works! I keep looking for the merchandise, particularly a t-shirt that says "You don't need gorilla hands!" Thanks, Scott.
Scott I enjoy all your videos and would like to thank you for the help to install our new hot tub. I really appreciate how down to earth you explain things.
Hey, I have been viewing your previous video's 💯to help me with, what else but, a leak in a roto molded 2 persons hot tub. So thank you so much for such detail. You had mentioned that you worked on roto molded spa's several times over the years. I guess I have to tilt it sideways to have easier access otherwise I have to figure out how to keep jacking it up high enough for me to get underneath it to take the soft spray foam out. Would It appears that the leak is on one or more of the top jets because of how I slowly drained and then stopped draining just below the first layer of jets. Over night I let the water sit just below the top row of few jets and the leak stopped. When you worked on them, did you jack it up 3 feet high or more or did you tilt it, with the motor side on the flat surface because the motor side is the heavier side of the spa so logically it makes sense to tilt it on that side. Cheers from Atlantic Canada, now living on Prince Edward Island, and a DIY"er female attempting with the help of your video's! Awesome!👍🙏🇨🇦

Long, medium bristle brush. Warm water and very little Dawn dish soap. No pressure washer needed.
How can I remove mildew from inside cover of my hot tub please.
