When I retired 120 days ago, I started to focus on getting my health back in order. First thing was getting the #diabetes #health under control, along with my #cholesterolmanagement. My A1C was 10.4 not to long ago and today its hasn't been this low since I have been tracking it. #retireearly #retirement has helped me greatly for getting this where it is now, but I have a lot more work ahead.

That was a really long video to explain that you did not understand the rule of 55. There are a few caveats to that rule that many do not understand. 1. You have to leave or be fired, etc in the year you would turn 55. 2. You can do this anytime after the year. So 55, 56, 57, ... 3. You can only access the 401k of the company you just left. 4. To do this easily. The companies 401k plan has to allow partial withdrawals before 59.5. this is not always the case. 6. If the 401k does not allow partial withdrawals, you can take out a portion penalty free under the rule of 55 and move the rest to an IRA. If you then need to access the IRA money, you could use the 72t rule to get money penalty free for 5 years or until you turn 59.5. whichever is the greater of the 2.
Learning lesson with stories
Have plan... yeah okay
It hard to plan for, I know but at a minimum be aware. I think folks that disconnected from their parents might get a second whammy.
I retired almost two years ago and love every second of it. I was a saver in my life but NEVER made a lot of money - and also had to LITERALLY start over with nothing at almost forty years of age due to a bad divorce. I did take advantage of a company matching 401k, and thankfully, with social security and my investments - who I have a company overlook for me - I can live on $3000 monthly no problem, and that's only taking a thousand from my retirement account. Lastly, I do and always have lived BELOW my means, even when I didn't have to. That's the key. I will also say where I worked we lost no less than 8 workers who were within tasting retirement - between the ages of 55 and 65, and it was heartbreaking for them and their loved ones, and they never made it to the point where they could smell the roses, just worked and worked and worked a LOT of hours. Retire as soon as you can and enjoy the time you have left, is my advice. I did retire at 65, but only because I needed that medicare - otherwise I'd have gone earlier. Best of luck.
@@dyates6380 love the feedback... Inspirational 👏👏👏
😂 We definitely are part of that! We have no other choice though. 😂
Lol, it's silly the things you're going to notice in retirement.
We all pay the price for debt. Best to use the equity in your home.
I agree. I love Walmart at 10AM. I am in and out in 5 minutes.
While not retired I can definitely relate to what you are saying about so many people creating traffic jams, long lines in stores (mostly just food shopping or stupid home goods). I myself work my tail off, self employed and really never take a day off. I like to ride one of my three motorcycles preferably during daylight hours but the roads are crowded. I get burnt out with work related driving so my bikes collect dust when I do ride I am often stuck behind too many cars. So basically a hobby of mine gets shelved in favor of staying at home when not working and just surfing the net whilst snaking and boozing. Oh well at least I work. I'm 50 and I have a good home and I save and I just aspire for retirement age if....I can maintain decent health, a healthy planet down the road etc, etc.....Who knows it will all probably go up in smoke with climate change and or WW3 but we try to do the best we can.
Tomorrow is not promised for sure, something I learned and live by now. But retirement doesn't mean not doing things anymore. I am in a class now learning how to fix stuff, and I might make it a side business. I just will not work for someone else like I have in the past. Thank you for watching and comments. it means a lot.
Ask your financial advisor about the 72t rule. And for rule of 55, as long as you are with your company when you turn 55 or after.
Yuppers, I did retire at 52, but it is okay. I have other accounts that we are using until 59 1/2. My wife still works and I am working on a side gig as we speak.
I did it at 35 years old. I did not know better. I was in college and thought that I could cash flow school. It did not work well. I still ran up student loan debt later. Some people (like me in my younger days) are financially illiterate. Most of the people just do not know any better
I am not sure why they don't teach us stuff like this. I was never taught about money outside how to write a check. nothing about managing your money and everything to spend it. sad state we grew up in. But you did learn from your mistakes, most people don't.
😊😊
Is this a joke?

Nice! I'm in Westchester County NY. I've stayed at Keuka Lake for three days on our way to Niagra Falls. Beatiful place.
Oh wow! So beautiful with the fall leaves...we were blown away how peaceful and beautiful every thing was... Enjoy the falls. Thank you for watching
Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments
100%
Absolutely! Profits are possible, especially now, but complex transactions should be handled by experienced market professionals.
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian C Nelson.
Brian demonstrates an excellent understanding of market trends, making well informed decisions that leads to consistent profit
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommend Mr Brian Nelson. I met him at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
Thank you for sharing. I like to sell puts to generate some income on stocks I want to own a little cheaper. What triple leverage funds do you use when you feel the market will drop down? Or which Triple leverage ETF's do you use for the swing trades? I'm also looking to generate some side profits while i have more core long term holdings. Thank you.
Nice!!!! Right now I'm in MSFT and NVDA leverage ETFs... I have a holding in two or three each of the underline. Like msfx, msfl, NVDl, soxl, etc. I'm adding more leverage each month... Trying to build more share to options trade a wider variety than the two growth stocks
@@TigerOnFIRE411 Definitely interesting. I'm 52 and such concentration scares me a little. I have big positoins in Meta, Berkshire, Amazon, IVW, VTI. Then I have smaller 2-5% positions in other value stocks that have potentional to 2-3X in 1-3 years. So far so good. I only have a 3X SOXL fund right now to give it a shot at swing trading from over a month ago. I'm up 35% but holding to see if it can get to $50 before I bail on that one. I'm looking to retire in 12-18 months. Just waiting for one of my key emplyees to retire at that time also. I own a small business. Thank you for the videos!

TRIPLE leverage. A BEAST!. but gotta be careful. High yields you gotta be careful total returns is mediocre.
My plan is to live forever. So far,so good.
Sounds like a good plan 🤣
This so true. I go to Walmart at 10AM while people are at work. I mistakenly went on the first of the month and asked myself what on earth happened. Another time I went on the 15th and the same thing. I get a government pension on the 1rst, but I stay out of stores until the 5th of the month. Retirement is fabulous
@@FIRE_DrNinjaTurtle lol, the struggle is real
Its amazing that when people are kind, people are so surprised by it. It should be our daily living.
@@OurRetireEarlyJourney indeed...the other day we were at Aldi checking out and an older couple were in line behind us.they only had cabbage and milk, and my wife paid for it without them realizing what happened. The cashier got up and gave my wife a hug and was almost in tears. Never had that happen before but the couple behind us want to pay us cash for the deed and we just took a hand shake and told them just be kind to the next person. Feel good moment in time.
@@TigerOnFIRE411 Love it! This world needs so much more of this. Its exhausting how its become and us vs them.
I’m trying to eat better. I’m pre diabetic.
Best to make the changes now. It's not a fun ride right now. Try to cut out the highly processed foods and things with corn syrup
A simple positive message for everyone.
Don't buy green bananas, lol. But seriously, I think it can be hard to get out of the "goal" mindset when you've worked hard at goals all your life. I retired 5 years ago and I still can't believe I managed to do it. Now is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor! Also, nothing has to be a big project anymore. You can just do little things and get just as much satisfaction.
@@Dana-ee9pb spoken like an expert 😎
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
@LiamOlivia-4 That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@LiamOlivia-4 The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
@@IbrahimIsabella-00 I feel your pain.... Something that worries us too. I'm be more than okay in 7 years, but until then I find that I had to cut back on a ton of things we always took for granted. I'm 53 now, the only thing keeping us okay is my wife still working for another 4 years when she'll be 52.
@LiamOlivia-4 I will give this a look, thanks a bunch for sharing.
@LiamOlivia-4 MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY her trading strategies is working for me for more than a year now and I’m making good profit from the stock market and she's 100% honest, reputable and trustworthy

Let’s face it. The rest of the world (including your spouse and other family members) don’t care what you want to do with your time. What they do want is a continuation of the benefits that you’ve been providing them for decades. They’ll make nice in conversation about retirement being your time to relax and live life on your own terms, but as soon as somebody misses a tuition payment or can’t pay their car insurance bill or ages out of your health insurance plan, then they’ll come around wanting to know what kind of delusion has gripped you.
Reality of life
I agree, there is NOTHING good about getting old. I wish I had your backyard. My dogs would love it. Nice and big.
Thank you... It does make dogs life happier for sure. Playtime potty breaks and sun bathing are way easier
I love it. I have a puppy now, so I get it
Trying to convince my husband to retire next year in April. He will be FRA then. Hoping the economy doesn’t tank because he will want to delay again.
I hope your plans are reached...it's getting harder and harder now days
