Syrp Magic Carpet Pro Slider. Solid. Smooth. Great price. I have only had this for 2 days so I cannot speak to the long term durability, but it does feel very nice. very solid. light weight. infinitely extendable. could be a good option if you need a camera slider. I’m glad. Thank you :)
Love it bro🔥🔥
thank you 🫡
You're killing it man, what camera set up did you use to shoot this?
hey thanks a lot! I used an Alexa with contax zeiss lenses (28 and 135). I also used an opteka .35x fisheye attachment thats like $20 on amazon for some of the shots, as well as some diopters on a contax 135 for some of the close stuff :)
Great Stuff Blaine...needed this to inspire me!! Thx for posting

6:28 sorry for commenting on this 3 years later but I have ben looking into Mini LF and I shoot FX3.... but I notice here the C70 doesn't flicker on the sign like the LF and Fx3 do. Does the C70 have global shutter?
we likely had different shutter angles. I dont recall fully what was happening. c70 doesn't have a global shutter, and all 3 cameras could have captured that sign without flicker. shutter may have been used to match exposure, so we were likely at weird shutter angles or something!
beaut!
thank you :)
smooth as hell. what we gotta do for a lighting breakdown on this?
this could be arranged :)
whats the lens used for the intro? love the distortion!
Love it. That one is a rokinon 12mm fisheye on an fx30

Really like the look of this!! Very interested to know what camera you used for this project. FX30?
Thank you! I used the fx30 for the intro and outro shots where I was talking. Rest was on Alexa

Love That Video, feels like a Crime Series in the begining. Do you have any experience in comparison with a small hd 7 cine ? I cant find any comparison between the Panels and the lut Rendition between this two. Would love to get away with two pyros 7 (on Camera and Director) instead of one small hd.
Thank ya! I also have a cine7 that I use all the time. I’ve done 3 shoots with the pyro over the cine7 (just for the range and the strong connection, and I was perfectly fine using the pyro on camera.
@ Thanks, i guess i will get two Pyro 7 instead of one Cine 7. Keep up the Great work ! :) 💪🏼
Well I’m not saying get the pyro instead. There are advantages of both systems. Cine7 and an industry standard, no latency with the teradek, but expensive. Pyro 7 is newer, but was a great price and is nice to use.
@@BlaineWestropp1 Yes, sure. Cine 7 has the Color calibration going for it aswell, but in the end i feel like Color accuracity on a Camera Monitor might be less interesting than Wireless Video for me Right now. I have a Feelworld lut6s Right know and no matter the Settings, the picture with a lut just Looks to saturated and with too much Contrast in comparison to the Pyro 7. Didnt had the Chance to compare the Image and lut rendition of the Pyro to the Cine 7 yet, so thanks for your opinion on That! Spam end.
Really helpful info, thanks.
Thank you :)
Thank you for this video Blaine! It's wonderful to see the lighting in action throughout the video, great content! 😍
Thank you thank you :)
nice work. how are you doing the fake sweat? I've tested a few formulations but no luck yet
Thank you. Maggie, the makeup artist, had some type of mixture of glycerin and water. I will ask and report back. Also, I do use water in a spray bottle all the time and it works nicely. What Maggie did was way better, but in a pinch water works, just dries quick.
Hey man, are you on a colour managed timeline? Before I apply the CST this EXP reduction works like magic, but as soon as I apply the CST (slog3cine to Davinci wide gamut - Davinci to 709) I tried placing the HDR node before the first CST node and between, no joy. Maybe I am missing something and it is too late for my brain to figure it out.
In this video I was not using color management. If you put the node before the 709 transform, and map it to your camera gamma and color space, it will work perfectly.
@@BlaineWestropp1 Thanks a lot. I suppose I don't need the slog-davinci CST node at the beginning since the HDR EXP node is mapped to the camera already. When I try the two CST node colour management it clips it or I have to drop extra stops in the HDR node which I shouldn't need to do. However, when I have the HDR node with the rec 709 conversion at the end, it works. Thanks for your content. It's straight to the point no BS.
@CookandClimb hey thank you! The HDR node will work properly if it is mapped to your camera gamma and color space, (or if you’ve set that that in the project level) and in the right position in the node tree. It can be placed anywhere, and then mapped correctly. Example. If you map to your camera, it should be your first node. If mapped to DWG, it should be after the camera to DWG node. Happy to assist further if needed!
@@BlaineWestropp1 Oh, I see. I had it mixed up.I was mapping HDR to the camera, but then the CST was camera to DWG, so I was sending mixed messages to the system.
@CookandClimb glad you got it! Let me know if any other issues arise. I’m here to help 🙂
How do these compare image wise to the dzo vespid primes ?
I felt pretty similar!
The Arri Alexa’s skin tone is amazing so as the fx3 and the C70. But with skin tones I think the Alexa is super amazing
Agreed 💯
