Gimme those dense shadows 😊 Keep in mind folks, this will not look as pleasing on your ikea fold out plastic table. Having beautiful granite countertops/backslash helps the setup A LOT.
thank you! I have the original spotlight, though I would like to try the max. I think id go 26 over 19. more versatility. depends what youre trying to do though. I think having the 36 and the 19 is a good move.
With COB lights, I use them bare most often, and then shape light with floppies and bigger negative. Fresnel ain’t bad either. And of course I use the spotlight to bounce and be specific. But if you want to mimic sun, with a 600, the most natural way to do it IMO is with no modifier. But.. sun on film doesn’t need to be natural. It can be heightened with a fresnel or reflector.
I do the same. For this one I wanted to see how much the intensity changed so I didn’t touch the exposure. But.. here is a version of this video with matched exposures. You could just skip to the end where it shows all! exposure match th-cam.com/video/uKqrHR37H_U/w-d-xo.html
the 2x fresnel should not be used with a 600d. it is fine to use up to a 300d. but for the 600, you should use the f10 fresnel or any other fresnel from another brand that is rated for 600 (LED) watts!
@@BlaineWestropp1 glad i asked. i have a 300x and have been popping the F10 fresnel on it at home. if I happened to have them flipped with 600d and 2X fresnel instead, I probably would have broken the LED from overheating ouch
@geilin2394 yeah f10 is fine for 600 and 300. I think the worst that could happen with a 2x is the light shuts down if it gets too hot, but the 2x fresnel could get damaged. So overall not recommended to pair the 2. It’s good you have the f10!
@stephencaserta2969 ahhhh yes. I simply mean do not use the aputure 2x fresnel on a 600D. They fit together but not designed to work together. For a 600D you will want the f10 fresnel!
lol. I think of this as more of like.. you can pause it and see the difference between the spotlight and the fresnel.. type of video. It did move very fast.
Lol... this looks so clean I was sure it was a Blender lighting test video from the thumbnail...
Hah! I’ll take that as a compliment 😇
It's so nice to have some straight to the point vidéo too (like this one). Well done
Thank you Hugo :)
Best lighting videos on youtube 💯💯

I really enjoy watching your breakdowns.
Thank you. More to come :)

:) ya know.. I have done some stuff with ikea gear.
Great video! Which spotlight do you have for the 600D? The Max or the old one? And then what angle do you recommend to get? 19 vs 26?

Why you not use just whiteboard reflector? Simple and clever
Of course this is the next piece of the puzzle.
Usually I meter these tests so I’m looking at the same exposure so I’m only looking at the difference in quality of light.

why not try at home with the fresnel?

why not have the fresnel flooded at home?
what do you mean?
