Word Blaine ... I feel like I've seen a lot of "10 years ago today" pieces being posted lately ... which is wild, because exactly 10 years ago this week my band released our first album, which led to a rollercoaster ride that was beyond my wildest dreams -- getting signed, touring with bands I grew up on, etc ... All of this after I spent my 20s wanting to make moves but not having the sack to get up in front of a crowd, and at 29 -- genuinely believing I'd never play a show to 10 people... never mind 10,000 a few years later.. crazy what can happen when you keep at it.
Wild. Love it. Glad you did it. And yeah.. keeping at it is really important. It takes a long time. It’s hard in the beginning.. but it just becomes more clear as you keep pushing!
I feel real good about the near future of my filmmaking journey! I'm feeling motivated to get the engines roaring for an arduous, yet fun and fulfilling time.
Nice, Blaine! Cool imagery. Wise words. I like the message: Be present, observe the crazy narratives as they emerge, surrender the noise, and pay attention to the wonder that quietly emerges.
It’s easier said than done. Sometimes I just take a walk or go somewhere for a little bit and ideas start to flow. The ideas are the hard part, but you don’t have to do too much to get them flowing!
@@BlaineWestropp1 I like the text as well but it draws my attention away from the atmosphere you've so carefully crafted. Maybe if you placed it higher up in the frame? In any case, I look forward to the next one you post :P
I have done some contests in the discord channel (are you in there? It’s free) and it’s been fun, but ultimately I let the people vote. But I will stream them all and give my reaction. We are due for another contest!
Beautiful! Blaine Westropp @BlaineWestropp1. You were an offline editor for 10 years? no wonder you cut these videos and have them up so fast, but while retaining quality! Inspiring.

I rem someone told me they found my work inspirational - I felt so good. Then they asked me what lens I used. Crushed me. 😂
😂😂
i did some video/photo work for a couple people once and the whole time they kept saying "thats an amazing camera"
haha.. okey but what lens n camera was this video filmed on 🥰
I wouldn't be crushed. I know when I see some amazing work from inspirational people, I will often wonder what sort of hardware they used.
This was shot on a bmpcc og and a lumix 45-150 lens 😎
