Nice vid man. Interesting stuff. Looking forward to part two. Stability Control is my friend. Not interested in records, but I am interested in getting home safely, and having fun!
something is wrong with Honda guys:)
@@Motorhead_02 You ain't lyin'!
Regarding Crashing - Recently after spinning out twice on Laguna Seca ( Long Press Off AHA on and Pedal Dance Fully OFF ), I actually started to use Type R short press traction partially off, and I actually got my fastest time 1.46 on PS4 stock tires ( cold 34/32 psi - to ensure tires not rolling over - slower but don't risk debeading tire) , and traction controlled saved me with light press - it only came on right before I spun out again - now I'm thinking - Is it even worth spinning out and crashing - Maybe Type R short press traction control partially off is worth it vs. crashing. Great work man - Keep at it.
@@3dprinteros I threw down my fastest lap at NCCAR with all of the nannies on by accident. Full traction control really helps the car rotate like crazy!
@@pointbypatrolThat's refreshing to hear! Maybe we need to stop shaming traction control. Safety first. I think I'm not going beyond short press traction control anymore. The car just stays more glued to the ground, and it forces me to take the best lines, it also saves tires. Brakes are cheap to replace vs. your life.
Congrats on the PB and so cool you met up with G&G Ben and was in their video as well
I was pretty stoked! I just asked him if I could line up with him!
👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks Ben for posting the video so soon ........ great info ........ ;-) I need a 4x shirt Bro ........ make it happen ..... LOL
Let me see what I can do! I've been considering some flex fit hats too!
Glad to see this video was in retrospect - when I saw the notification I said out loud “not again!”
Certainly not something I'd want to repeat, but it's always a risk!
Just saw you on G&G. Love the car
@@winky_pi much appreciated!
Nah, sound like a tinny vacuum cleaner
just curious why you removed the brake backing plate? great video!
@@samsitthigarana3814 keeps the rotors a lot cooler under heavy use. I was going through rotors like crazy, and now they hold up longer
@ ahh I see. I keep on getting pebbles stuck so I thought about removing mine.
@samsitthigarana3814 it's one of the first things I did to the car from past experience on the white car. Rotors are expensive!
I’ve lost mpg because of that intake to get that noise. Don’t know if the intake or the DE5 exhaust crackles are better in a tunnel. One then the other, shift, repeat

@@a124as looking to do a chassis mount front splitter. So it will definitely be a "hybrid"!
I really appreciate this type of video and your honesty about the product and installation process. As someone one who is slowly learning how to mod my FL5 it's nice to have an accurate report on how frustrating instalations can be as well as the areas where an aftermarket manufacturer may have dropped the ball.
@@stefans3575 I strive to keep it honest on both fronts. People should be able to make well informed decisions, and manufacturers need to see these type of things to tighten up their practices.
I could never… I’d return it at that point. For the money you’re spending it should be damn near oem fitment
A return is not in the cards for me, but I agree with you. I do not smoke check manufacturers then make demands. Simply not my personality. My only hope is that they see this and make the necessary adjustments so that others may win!
nice piece looks like they on back order from adro till late january
@@Sateen2125 I'm not surprised. I was a super early adopter in this case, but we definitely aren't too far from January at this point
@ I’ll eventually do aero. Doing pads fluid and suspension first. Gonna drive the car in the spring first before adding parts to get a feel for
Ouch. For the price, it should’ve been an easy install. It’s like the company had no time but to cut corners and get their product out. I would be very disappointed.
I was excited when I was opening it, and that dissolved away as I installed it. Hopefully it does well at the track, otherwise it's an expensive trunk ornament.
Hope the results on the track make up for all the grievances😅 another entertaining video 😊
Dude, I hope so! I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't feel much, but hey, at least it looks neat!

@@fly135s they didn't on the "official" install video, which is why I went this direction.
Kind of funny... I just had a similar experience.... I had ordered a front lip kit from an outfit called Project Aero out of Australia. I had forgotten completely about it until it showed up at my door yesterday. 🤣
@@chrissimmons9969 it's strange they would just haphazardly ship something with zero tracking, right? It's like.....a super expensive box, and what if I was out of town for Xmas?
Hey Chris! A lot of companies that send bigger items really struggle with freight couriers as we are really limited ☹️ We apologise about the lack of tracking, our courier company had a huge software glitch over the last 3 weeks and Christmas/Black Friday added to the chaos, almost nobody’s tracking was showing up. Just wanted to jump in and let you know that this isn’t the norm, and that our choice of courier is updating to a more accurate tracking platform in 2025. Kind regards, Ben - CEO
@@projectaeroaus I instantly want to buy something from Project Aero. Good on you for hoping in! THIS is good customer service!

Nice Ben! Love the detailed analysis of the short comings. Look forward to your track test feedback 👍
I have the same color FL5. I’m basically copying your build.
First off, your black FL5 looks great. For the money that wing costs I'd expect / hope for better finishing, so, like you I'd be disappointed with things. Nonetheless, I can see why you'd want it on the car. Hope you enjoy running it over the stock item.
