I just bought a white '24 Si as my street daily. Saw you out there, in blue group I think, I was coaching a driver in a GT4 Clubsport, was thinking to myself, that Type R is moving. Think we lapped that E36 2-3 times every session. That guy couldn't have been having fun. He was the real point by patrol. 😆 Car looks fun!
The E36 seemed to struggle to give point by's. I think I know the exact car you're talking about! That was definitely me out in the blue group! So many red and black flags during that event!
Curious why dont you use the cars datalog, u can have the gauges up at the same time. I could be wrong but both garmin and the type r use similar tech to record times and data
My experience is that the Garmin GPS data is superior. I've seen a few videos with the onboard data and overlays, and was kind of bummed about the video quality. For datalogging I typically just use my FlashPro!
Depends on the situation, run group, and organization. At that point it was a contract, and I needed to fulfill my end since the other driver was clearly confused.
I have the HEL oil cooler, but I do not have a separate temperature gauge for it. Based on their research it's highly effective. The factory readout is just a algorithm. I did have cooling issues, and actually overheated the car. I've solved that problem with the PWR track spec radiator, removing the baffle under the hood vent, and running the heater in the car.

I’m hitting VIR later this year. What a great video! Keep the content coming!
Will do, my friend!
I’ll be at VIR this weekend in my DE5. Haven’t driven the track yet, so your videos have been a great help. Thanks and keep em coming!
Will do! Best of luck out there! You're going to love it!
Ben, you are rocking it. Thanks for the vid.
I appreciate that!
5:22 the crash you had was carrying too much speed just like what he said (not sure if its you or the instructor), it could be dangerous.
It's me. Fatigue was a big factor

if they point by is on the WRONG SIDE....then why did you take the point??
Depends on the situation, run group, and organization. At that point it was a contract, and I needed to fulfill my end since the other driver was clearly confused.
If you can take it safely, or if the car giving the point by is very slow, then you can take it.
Are you running stock or aftermarket rear engine mount? Also do you have the damper module from the ITS?
I'm running the Hasport 62a RMM, and using the stock Type R damper module.
Have you adding anything to help with oil cooling or is it in stock config? Any problems with cooling issues while tracking?

How long have you had your FL5?
Is this your DD or just track toy.
It's my DD. I bought it towards the end of July last year!
@pointbypatrol what do you have for suspension?
I'm wanting to get ohlins, AST or KW it just depends on who has edc cancelation modules available.
@@benbrockton I'm still on completely stock suspension!
