I test rode the 3r a couple of years ago and loved it, ever since ive been contemplating part exchanging one of my six bikes for one but can not bare to part with any! ~just yet. Ive just got home from a 5 day touring trip around Scotland on my Multistrada Enduro WOW Scotland is absolutely stunning! Looking forward to watching your next adventures!!! 👍🏍🏍👍

Very nice job on the review. And with over 82,000 miles on my 2020 GT and also a previous owner of a Harley Ultra SVO I feel qualified to comment. In my mind there is almost no comparison between the two bikes the Rocket does not win, and by a large margin. In fact with both in the garage whenever I decided to ride I chose the Rocket. So I ended up selling the Harley because it just sat. Now the Harley was nice but not in comparison to the Rocket. To speak to a couple of your points: I replaced the forward pegs with the R type mid pegs and it's a vast improvement for me. As you suspected an aftermarket windscreen adds much to the touring capabilities of the Rocket, I have done 1100 miles in one day with not that much wind fatigue. The other two must haves in my opinion are the quick shifter (so much fun) and of course the panniers. The longest single trip I have done was a ten day trip and I had plenty of room, but my wife does not travel with me. I guess the best recommendation I could give is that I am thinking of replacing my Rocket right now and the replacement will be another Rocket, no question.

In August 2023 I rode the previous version a highly modified 2013 Rocket 3 with 260 rear wheel horsepower at the Bonneville Salt Flats during speed week. The salt was in poor condition and unfortunately I crashed on the 3rd run. This year I'm running a mostly a stock newer model 2021 Rocket 3 with same horsepower as the TFC. Neither bikes are mine and I have little seat time except at 150+ mph. The torque is hard to manage on the salt especially when it is wet. You can see all 3 runs from last year in my channel if you care to see what happens with a bike set-up incorrectly on ice skating rink at 164 mph.

Good choice Scott! You’re right (as is Captain Slow)… it has to give you the fizz. I moved to a Triumph last year (Tiger 900) after years of Yamaha. Loved those bikes, but Tigger just makes me grin every time I get on. Looking forward to your adventures. Do you change your channel name now?

Glad to see you have put so much some and though into your purchase. In my case, it would have down to the Triumph dealership, wrap up the Rocket, and that would have been it!!!

A good honest review Scott and as a Rocket 3 GT Triple Black owner I agree with everything you said. I've fitted the taller screen and it helps a good bit, the quick shifter is also an absolute hoot to use. A word of caution regarding the rear rack, it has a very low safe working load I considered it but that put me off. Suspension is on the firm side but needs to be due to the bike's weight. I saw in the comments of one review someone critiquing the "false put on grinning laughing and giggling" of reviewers, obviously he hasn't ridden one so I put him right. I do have a huge gripe with Triumph over the release of the Storm however, the " Black", "Triple Black" and TFC models were sold as exclusive limited editions. To copy the blacked out looks of the Black and Triple Black with the increased power of the TFC is a gross betrayal of 3,000 exclusive owners World wide. That said I hope you enjoy your Storm when it arrives. I've had my Wife, Son and daughter pillion on " Black Beauty" as I call mine. "Come on Beauty let's go!!" my wife often says as I give her some spurs. "F'n WOW!!" was my son's first reaction upon slight acceleration. My daughter on the other hand was quite reserved in her reactions, reacting in dis belief when I told her " you'd better hold on", then as I overtook four cars I heard " Oh F۩K I'd better hold on, Blooming Hell this bikes fast!!" she did complain of a numb bum after two and a half hours in the pillion seat. @greywolf9292 if you want to see and hear Black Beauty as she rides the Scottish Glens.

Thank you for not being yet another dude that pledges allegiance to Harley. I test rode a Rocket III once and it’s an outstanding motorcycle in comparison to an HD.

That fizz mate YES! , do YOU, never justify yourself for your choice and ride safe mate , stay healthy , do what makes you happy , I've owned two triumphs and three Harley's , if T reproduced the Tbird or similar after owning the older 09 I'd be back on triumph , still find myself drooling over the Tbird LT. Just made better , simply a fact . Anyone unsubs they are sad and will be missing out on a bloody good Chanel and creator so it's they're loss. Keep up the great vids

Great choice !! i do not regret changing from my BMW S100XR for one minute. It does everything full stop, in STYLE with a BIG SMILE on your face ! Start adding 10 minutes to your journey times, as everyone wants to talk about it when you stop.

Great news I think once you ride a rocket it’s hard to get it out of your head they to me are absolutely amazing I can’t fault it well not after 1000 miles not much I know but I am sold on mine love it and I think you was sold on it in the test ride you could just see it in your face well done now for the extras ride safe take care

Oh, fuuny note, happened the other week..My wife said to me that sometimes she thinks I'm cheating on her with my ride. (in jest of course, she's awesome). I replied "Nope, you've got it wrong. Hi Paul, I just wanted you to know that you channel really lifts me up. Mr riding days are over which is a real bummer after 46 years of it. I understand also about the terrible angst issue that can occur when one realised that one is mortal such as when you had your heart attack. I have lung disease and maybe a few months) and you films keep me in the loop.. and still make me feel that I belong

For me. Neither. 2022 Road King Special stage 1. Basically a road glide without a fairing and Milwaukee 8 engine ( which is a huge difference ). Goes like a train. Main difference for me compared to the Triumph was comfort. The Road King Special has floor boards so I can shift my riding position about on a long ride. You can’t get floorboards on the Rocket. I’m very tall, so it was also easy to change the seat and bars to make me fit it perfectly. And I like the panniers. Totally agree about the big fairings on the Harley touring. Not my cup of tea either. The Rocket is a beast though. You can’t go wrong !! Well done chap.

Good call mate. The trumpy is awesome. Am on my 6th and last Harley over the last 30 years- and to me, they are not the bikes they used to be.

I’ve never had a QS before and couldn’t really see the need Especially on the rocket But I joined the owners Facebook forum and everyone was saying it’s the best thing you can do to the bike So I did and it is fantastic. Works so well with that engine so absolutely worth it Paul

The relevance is on the pleasure we get from riding a specific bike. Every bike in deed is capable of serving mobility purposes. Even a scooter would do it perfectly and in a very economical way…So, why are we in the disposition to spend the large amounts of money for a big bike with so impressive characteristics like a big Harley or a Triumph Rocket III, if it wasn’t for the pleasure and joy that we get by riding and owning one?

I've missed your past few videos, need to catch up. I've never ridden a rocket, a couple of my mates have got new ones and they love them. It is a lot of bike for a lot of money. I wish you good luck and good times on the Triumph, looking forward to seeing your videos with it.
