you're a 37yo earning the salary of a intern, then something is wrong on your side.
Have you left yet?
You must leave, then come back with a new religion, without papers, then you’ll get everything taken care of for you.
I have worked my ass off since returning to the UK in 2016. I’ve gone from £25k a year to £140k a year and this might sound mental but I’m still struggling. I live in a 1 bedroom house. I’m saving as much as possible to buy a forever home. Nothing fancy but a 3 bed, front and back garden and a garage. That kind of house is 500k where I am and to not get killed on the mortgage you need at least 25% deposit in cash. If I put down less a deposit and lose my job I’m screwed! So not only do I need that deposit I’ll need a 6 month emergency fund to cover the mortgage in case I’m made redundant or get bad health! So I basically need 200k in cash! Even on my salary that’s a huge amount
Daryl, there is a japanese cartoon show named 'moriarty the patriot' where in their opening theme( the song is kinda cool) there is an exact same lyric which you've said, Britain has become a dystopia.
Brits did this though. They vote for parasites, again and again, they've been doing this for about 40 years now. With zero ability to think critically, this is where they end up but cant work out why. They have screwed the younger generation totally but will keep voting for kunts.
Having spent 1 year in Australia, I really notice how bad things are here in the UK. I’m also leaving soon
27% is similar to many other countries. However salaries are lower in the UK.
check out sheku mans in china. he's from uk but living a great life in china
We have lived and worked in UK for eight years, became UK national too. However we decided to return to India now eight years ago and never miss UK a bit. However we liked and explored UK to maximum in eight years we lived in UK. Our son was going to a private school in South London, we were in upper middle class bracked yet we decided to return and never regret.
So where do we go?
I think it's misguided to blame migration/migrants, especially as the're only making the same decision you have made, albeit in the other direction. I'd blame the fact that billions of pounds pump through the City of London every day with almost none of it touching the public institutions of this country or the pockets of it's citizens. We're fed sh*t about 'service economies and 'financial blackholes' when the real issue is that manufacturing has been trashed and there's no engine for producing real wealth any longer. So we're all chasing our tails trying to find zero hours contracts, 'side hustles' and 'passive income'. We need to wake up and realise we and the migrants (like you and the ones dying in the Channel) are all in the same boat. The problem is a tiny number of people at the top of society sitting on all the wealth.
Dude it's happening everywhere
As a 'boomer' I agree with you. Since around '89 I earned something like £200 per week working mainly in the NHS and as an agency worker. I'm now 'retired' though I'm not sure from what, as I was unemployed for years and was terminally unable to claim benefits as I preferred freedom and self determination. As a 'pensioner' I get £860 per month, which is adequate to my needs due to my unusual way of life. But it's obvious to me that wages haven't moved while house prices and the cost of living have soared.
I don’t know whether I should feel happy or sad while writing this comment, but the current situation in the UK is still a distant dream for India. If anything, this might help you feel slightly better about your current situation.
Daryl you need to go to the countries the “illegal immigrants” or refugees are coming from. Then you will know why they leave their homes and you may change your thinking. (Hopefully).
Do decision-makers or politicians do what they do solely based on their own values and policy commitments? Politicians represent certain interests. These economic interests prioritize the concentration of wealth. Simply, they want to keep more money for themselves. The outcome? Services deteriorate, health care deteriorates, crime rises, and people have less expendable income, eroding quality of life. The same thing is happening here in the US.
So are you moving to Japan? :)
These are the same problems we have in America.
At this point there should be regulation over owning houses.

100% by design. Wealth is generational only.
One thing about English language. It is the official language alongside Malay language. In KL, English is widely spoken but going outside of Klang Valley, not so much. They can understand basic English but that’s about it. Just FYI. Also, KL is too globalised now so don’t expect everyone you meet in KL is Malaysian.
Me watching this after working 14 hours shift to keep up with my bills: 👁️👄👁️
Totally 👍 agree with what your saying, it's a very depressing country. I wish you all best when you leave i am thinking of doing it myself.
But where are you going to go that's any better?
Welcome to Malaysia and thank's for welcoming to Malaysia🇲🇾
I hope the UK improves.. soon.. ruiend by evil government
It's far worse in the US man! $24k average income the year I was born, with average home price of ~$95k Currently average income of $62k, average home price of $400k+, close to $450k. Just remember, with all the mandated insurance and taxes, we pay even more of our salary to the government than UK citizens do, it's wild. I'm currently looking at Japan for myself and my family.
I really hate conspiracy theories, so it pains me to say this but I don't think that any of this is by accident. I wonder if it's because we are on the cusp of an Artificial Intelligence breakthrough. Where AI will be able to perform many white collar jobs just like automation has done with blue collar jobs. You would still need a certain amount of people of the servant class for the wealthy. They need their dog walkers, instacart shoppers, nannies and gardeners. So if this is indeed the case and the owners of society no longer need large populations of working class. Then the question is, what do they do with them? One way is to euthanize us all which would be deeply immoral and the other way is for the welfare state to support us in the form of Universal Basic Income. But what if the owners of the society doesn't want to foot the bill of a welfare state. Well perhaps the strategy is what we are experiencing now in many western countries. All the markers are there. Declining birth rates, declining life expectancies, increasing crime, laissez faire on drugs and crime etc. Then you have stagnant wages with skyrocketing inflation. What other conclusion can I draw other than they are deliberately trying to destroy society so that there are less mouths to feed once we are no longer needed in large numbers.
I was 6 months in UK and I left. I dont know why people live in that place, there is nothing good there. You can go for a week, see something different, buy some nice book and thats it. I bought a car from UK 6 years ago, the cars were cheap and thats it.
I used to study in Edinbugh, It has beautiful structure, glorious history. It would be a good place to die there and be one with the history.
Meanwhile unemployed me living in rural France on 3 figures a month just fine (and no arab in sight)
How old are you, how much rent do you pay where would you move?
just yesterday i made this calculation: if you work in the UK and you earn between £50,000 and £125, 000 you pay nearly £40 of your income every year. over 40 years your tax is around 1.5 million pounds by the time the reach retirement at the age of 67. lets say i will live another 10 years to reach 76, i asked myself is this enough for me to enjoy my retirement as an old person with various health issues, or even am i going to live? also, why do i have to pay 1.5 million if i pay for everything. i pay: rent, council tax, parking, bills, insurance, EMOT, road tax, for the medication, dentist, optician, fines, shopping, practically everything. some say free schools and NHS, and if i don't have kids, i will not enjoy free schooling, and most people with good earning would chose to send their kids to private schools. for the NHS, how many time do i visit the GP a year, even go to private health centres. and the government wants to tax pensioners who earn more than £12,000 a year, which means paying taxes for an already taxed income. so why am i paying taxes for? please enlighten me, as i am taking care of everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i guess these are genuine questions and i think we are just slaves who are destined to serve their masters.
I’m Polish making 38.0000 year but I live in Jersey and average rent here is 1500 for 1 bedroom apartments it’s ridiculous UK only run because cheap labour if not that it would be collapse. Live here 21 years and watch what politicians done to this great country and Nation it make me and my wife sad but we leaving next year it’s all arrange already
I hear you brother, you’re not alone.
hey man...just to set things clear. I live in Croatia, a shithole country by your standards, my mate just bought an appartement on the outskirts of the capital Zagreb, for 230 000 Euros. It's just a two bedroom flat in a 4 store building. 60-70 m2, on a 30 year loan. He is in IT and makes around 35 000 Euros a year. So there is not much difference in terms of property vs wages. We have it better on all other cost of living, food, amenities and such. The price of properties is almost the same as in UK...and that's due to high demand from migrations. SO I'm telling you, anywhere in EU, you're not gonna do any better except in nuances.
If you say the problem two tier kier will just put you in prison.
well take heart Ellen degeneres and her girlfriend have moved to the UK because they said they have to leave the Trump dump. LOL.
That calculation does ignore your free pay, but it is pretty bad anyway, plus with the net zero and dedication to spead money in places that doesn't actively help us gain opportunities. The reality is we need better financial education and politicians shouldn't be able to spend money until they understand how to save money instead of creating it. Because these guys will buy on the ticket price and won't ask for it cheaper and then go well we are poor, create some more money and devalue our whole currency just so they have a bit more to waste
I currenltly work at the aiport, sleepin in my car and shower at the gym… saving £1000 a month to get out of here asap. Its such a trap
They are bringing all these black people from overseas, the only ones winning are the boomer landlords.
You sound happier. I just discovered your channel and listened to two of your videos when you were talking about leaving England. You were very “down”. You have a new bounce in your step now. Good luck!
Wow. How terrible. I’ve been to England two times and thought it was so beautiful. That was 20 and 8 years ago. It sounds like it has changed a lot since just 8 years ago. What the heck is happening? Why can’t some good people run for office and people vote in good people who want to do right by the English people?
The USA was on this same trajectory-- thankfully- we will turning the tide here very soon!!!
Nobody seems to understand recent history: America always saw a unified Europe both as an economic threat and lost clientele. Brexit was engineered by the Americans; they took advantage of the parochialism of a set of Brits who were living in past glory. So, time to look at Socialism as a viable political force and not a set of passe ideas.
Thatcher and finally the Brexit destroyed the UK.
