We know that Japan is on the Globalist's list to "diversify" next, because they still have a vibrant and independent culture. It worries me honestly, I hope they continue to be unique and different.
They will be fine. They arent the one with extensive long time global colonies and their foreign policies have been fairly tame after ww2, so they dont have to bear any of the commitment or consequence of their foreign policies. Only a few Anglo countries have this problem due to your own leaders continuing global imperial ambition for the past many decades. Everything is just a natural consequence of state policies.
I'm in the UK, 52 almost paid off my mortgage, and I still worry for my future. The UK is being purposely destroyed from within and I don't blame anybody who chooses to leave. This is not the country that we once were. The citizens are not important to this country anymore, in fact we are seen as something stuck to your shoe that you just stepped in.. It's nothing to be proud of anymore being a UK citizen.
I’ll be 60 soon, own my home up here in the most beautiful part of Scotland. Looking at moving in two years. Why two? Because there is quite a bit of research to do ie., healthcare, taxes for that country, etc., there is a lot to finalise to make sure when I’m gone, the U.K. split is clean and I never want to hear from HMRC again!
Crime is so rampant here in Canada. A family in St. John's had a break in where the kids were in bed and the wife was in the basement. Her husband had gone out. She heard footsteps upstairs and texted him are you back, he said no. Luckily no one was hurt but they lost all their laptops, cellphones, car keys. That family's close call changed their lives. They now have cameras everywhere, automatic locks, and dogs.
The whole system of give us your taxes and we'll protect the country from foreign invaders via armed services. Give us your taxes and we'll provide Police, Courts and Prisons to protect your Life and Property. Give us your taxes and we'll provide Dentistry and Easily accessible Healthcare to protect you from illness and disease is failing. The only thing consistent is more and more ways of taxation at higher levels. They're taking the money under false pretences.

I have travelled to 44 countries, virtually every Continent on earth and have found that Ecuador is the cheapest for housing, quality of food, and quality of life. It is modern too. Philippines is cheap and great food but spartan. Panama is a great choice. Costa Rica is not cheap for housing but great quality of life. I would start in one of them....
Ecuador is beautiful as long as you're able to deal with the prolonged power outages. I'm staying away from Ecuador for a few years. It's a bit of a mess right now.

I hate to break it to you. The past 14 years the Conservatives have been in power in the country and the situation has got worse and worse and worse. Labour aren't much better, but you can't blame them for coming in and trying to clean up the mess that someone else created. The country has gone to Hell in a handcart, and it's all because of the buffoonery of Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss (a literal walking meme now) & then Sunak. I live on the West Coast of Canada in BC. There's only one problem moving out of BC and to a country like Japan - I don't speak Japanese, and I have a license to work in BC. You're not considering the cost of relocating including having to retrain, get new qualifications, and learning a new language. It wouldn't be worth my while. If you're young, free, and single, go for it.
Hi Daryl, I came across your channel a few weeks ago. I really like it brother. I am a 38 year old from England but had been living in Edinburgh for the last 6 years. I recently left the UK and moved to Morocco to start out as a digital nomad. I don’t regret my move one bit. The weather is warm here and I am saving money. I have plans to travel to some other countries and cultures and start enjoying my life as a digital nomad. If you would like to interview me on your channel let me know, I would love to share my experience with you.
@@s.e.studios1386 yeah I do recommend it. Simple life out here, the locals are friendly. People look you in the eye and smile, something which never happens in the UK. I have been staying in a place called Tamraght which is a surfing village, although I don’t surf I just go to the beach or try yoga. 🧘
It’s sobering to listen to you guys. The UK and all that remained Canada, Australia etc has turned to nothingness. Toronto is the one city I don’t miss at all, ever, and my recent experience at Heathrow Airport left me with the impression that I was in a third world country by its operation alone. Incredible. (I’ve lived in basements in Toronto with my mom after leaving Eastern Europe and the whole time I thought: this is better???)
Love these discussions. In my early 50s and working and paying mortgage in UK. Feel trapped as have too many responsibilities here but can see the lure of South East Asia through this channel. Making notes so at least my 20 year old sons can make that escape and not get bogged down and tied up like their father!
Supporting multiculturalism basically means you think your own culture is so bad it can be rejuvenated by Somali slang, several 1000 kebab shops, acid attcks and stabbings by teenagers from Sierra Leone, and speech laws presumably to stop you screaming how delighted you are. - Dr Andrew Joyce
Canadian here. Retired now and moved to Siem Reap Cambodia. Cost of living and crime are only 2 of many many problems in Canada. And nothing will even begin to change until people stop voting left. But even then I doubt it’s fixable. Take your talent and money and leave the West. Go where you are treated best.
When I retire, I will not be relocating to the UK. The country is sliding down a treacherous slope. I'm now looking at places I never would have considered: Bulgaria, Spain, New Zealand, Prague, Malaysia, and Dubai.
I'll never get over how affordable and better Spain is compared to UK. From the weather, cost of living, food, culture etc I feel I am getting scammed here
You mentioned a lot of nice places there. I've lived in Malaysia (2006) and liked it, although prefer Philippines (specifically Manila - a city I hated when I first visited in 2011, but have since grown to love very much). I was recently in Prague, what a fantastic city - great public transport and Bolt (like Uber) was cheap and efficient, vibrant social life, friendly and happy people. I liked Dubai, but it has some fundamental issues. Never been to NZ, or Bulgaria though. I'm currently looking at rebasing to one of France, Netherlands, or Denmark, with part of the year in Philippines. First choice would be Netherlands - I worked there in the 80s and fell in love with the country and the people. Have been back a number of times and it is still a great place compared to UK for the things I like.
ireland is as bad as canada if not worse, our economy is totally inflated with multi nationals, on top of that we took major amount of ukrainians in too and loads of asylum seekers coming who are really economic immigrants. tourism is gone from that alone. while sme`s are getting hammered.
Never mind eating out. Just go to the supermarket🤣 These shops were meant to answer the question of the small shop because they buy in massive volume, sell a lot of stuff and therefore benefit from the 'scales of volume'. However, they seem to have forgotten that now that the small shops are gone (out-of-business), and they now concentrate on making huge profits. How can one bag of shopping be £50 to £80? And that's just a couple of meals with decent products like meat and two veg 🤣F'in ridiculous. Ps great guest!
you are spot on . thne they have the goal to put these stupid self serving machines get rid of more staff to save money when they all made nulti millions of profits and carrying on making it from fleecing every one . also expecting customers doing the work and than complain bc some people are not putting some items through . and perfect excuse to up the prices again and again. i saw a comment their local asda is or has got rid of these machines bc customers have declined being fed up with it .
That's because the supermarket Kabal used COVID and the Ukraine as a bullshit excuse to increase prices by over 50% , profiteering is the technical term, but their corrupt friends in government did nothing about it
I dont agree with one thing, when he says if you're in your 30 and single. I am 45 and lived in UK most of my adult life. Me and my husband both have dual citizenship. With 2 kids 15 & 6. I dont see any future for them in here. I want them to have a good life. It is never too late. We are moving in July.
price of food in the Netherlands was slightly higher than the UK 10 years ago, since Covid prices must be up 30-50% on whole foods. From what I've seen in the UK the competition and selection is still pretty good in comparison.

In the USA it can varies greatly depends on where you live. I live in suburb Houston with great school and low crime. I am paying $1750/month mortgage for a 4 bedroom house I bought in 2021. I am also working remotely with salary around 100k/year, with stay at home wife and 2 kids. I can have a good lifestyle with 20% money going into retirement fund every year. I am originally from Indonesia so there is always an option to retire early there because the cost of living is so much cheaper.

In London public transport is fine, but the cost of living has skyrocketed. Have a look at continental Europe. In most countries you can easily get by without a car, unless you live in a really rural area. Food is also affordable here, whether it's the Baltics, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain or Portugal. I'm not familiar with Italy, Switzerland and the Balkans. Luxembourg is quite expensive, but very good quality. Buying fresh produce from markets is mostly cheaper than supermarkets. Housing has become a problem in many countries, especially Netherlands and Germany, I don't know much about the others. Rents have skyrocketed, and the governments seem incapable of managing it. We used to have a lot of social housing, but only a quarter is left compared to 50 years ago. So we are very lucky to own our place we bought over 30 years ago.
And Aus is the same. British focus on weather...but reality is its not sunny in people's bank accounts. Lack of housing, prices high sky, child care Expensive, brith rate is dropping (People are getting smarter)😂, education is dumming kids down, internet is cheaper in Pakistan than here 🤦😂, you can't find a good GP, waiting lists are long for surgeries, health insurance cover literally Nothing..legal system is a joke, underworld operations are huge....etc etc West is all the same.
Russia is great, honestly. If you have a remote job, like IT, and don't mind having communication issues for the first couple of years (the language is hard). Just to provide a perspective. A brick house, in good condition, with everything (gas, furniture, wi-fi, etc.), not far away from a region center, >70m2 area, would cost you... below $50K, even below $40k with some searching. I'm talking about secondary market.
I was thinking the same thing but have 2 girls. But even if she doesn't win I think we may have already been pushed over the cliff to the point of no return.
I am in the UK now but I also consider moving back to Hong Kong. The salary sucks here (only £35000 for a mid-level software engineer? There are fresh graduates in HK earning more than that!). Food is mediocre (never like fish and chips, and there is no authentic Chinese food, or good quality Japanese food like sushi, ramen etc.). Stupid taxes like council tax, capital gains tax etc. Predatory service charges as well. The CGT is particularly worse. If they increased it even more on the 30th then I will definitely leave because it will be impossible to FIRE here. I think I have read from the newspaper yesterday that Starmer do not care about people who live on their investments. In that case I just take my investments and move to somewhere more welcoming.
@@marcsolloway3941 it is a software house that serves some public sector organisations. I am not sure if because it is a remote job or the industry's problem that the salary is so low. If it is not remote than I would have quit a long time ago.

Where in the US did you live Daryl? Cost of living is so different depending on what state you are in. Same with crime and taxes. West and East coast are super expensive. Jobs pay more but housing is impossible to afford. I live in Arizona, where the job market is good. I worked in banking so had excellent heath benefits and 4 weeks vacation time (plus 12 holidays). Everything depends on what type of job you have. Tech and Engineering, professionals (white collar) do quite well. A university degree doesn't matter that much unless you have a marketable major.
Dont give enemies satisfaction by giving up people, don't be copouts. Stand up and fight back, take back your country your heritage even if the governments are failing to do so. Leaving will only make things worse, you will be just as guilty. Grow balls and fight the insanity.

Japanese food quality in general isn’t great. Wheat is imported - for those noodles, breakfast breads and beers. Rice is imported unless you are shopping well and paying more. Meat, beef etc, imported or grain fed. Wagyu beef is grain fed. Not roaming grass fed, which is much healthier. Eggs - free range organic? No, caged. The reason they can eat raw chicken liver and raw chicken breast meat (yes it’s a thing, I lived in Japan for a year) is because they are pumped full of antibiotic. Fruits are super expensive (Taiwan is far better for fruits, all local). Vegetables- the supermarket potatoes are an odd variety which are super dry. I prefer food from EU, Portugal for example has far better quality local ingredients, carrots that are actually orange and flavourful. Japan has no oil or uranium and so is in a very delicate geopolitical position and depends upon USA for security and ability to import/export.
I previously worked in Tokyo for 18 months , wonderful country to visit but not so good to be a teacher , that said I will always go back there for visits , I’m off to Malaysia next month on a full time contract, I’m totally done with the UK the damage to this country now is irreversible
Teaching English in Japan is not as easy as people might think. Especially if you’re introvert it’s extremely hard and energy consuming. It’s full time commitment and very exhausting.
Since 2020 (the COOF)things are getting ramped up continuously, all part of a plan and the future looks bleak to say the least in the west, Asia seems to be the place at the moment to go to.
Shop fresh produce in the evening in Japan, the discount is really going to save you a lot without sacrificing the quality. Overall though, i wouldn't live there because the country is kind of giving me a lonely vibe.

CANZUK is probably the way. The UK and Canada is going through similar things. One is overpopulated and one is under populated. So both countries have no balance.
Japan has a much better quality of life than the West. The biggest problems there are the work culture and the language. Work remotely from Japan or for a multinational.
looking back to sri lanka they had loads of protests and were even bankrupt hence even more so hco living and it affected the normal earners just like in a w. country . even high earners have had to tighten their belts there like any where else . it will only be cheaper for foreigners with bringing their own currencies £ $ Euros specially . those people have a really good life in se asia .

It's better each year here in Russia and I'm happy I have several apartments and a house. Medicine is still free and I'm wait for medical appointments for about 2-3 days. And you have a lot another ways, if you can pay, but don't want to wait these 2 days or want to see doctors on the weekend, for example. Education is free too or you don't have to pay all your life for your students loans. And it's safe for walk in night too😅
"Education is free" weren't you going to say indoctrination is free? Yes, there are a lot of wealthy people in Russia, at the expense of those not so well off.
It’s going to be very hard to fix the west. Boomers and corporations have bought many many houses in in the last 30 years to create income. But unlike other investments, there is nothing economically active about houses, all it does of transfer the earnings of workers to those who don’t work. Privatised benefits system in a way, but uncapped. Before too long, permanent renters will reach retirement age with no home and no pension. With many well paid young workers fleeing to other counties, there will be no means to support the future old people. Poverty will follow. The decline is unstoppable now because the rich and powerful have no reason to change course unfortunately.

I agree with much of this content but have to disagree when you say it is irreversible. It's too negative. Twenty years ago we didn't see this coming. England was a decent enough place to live in the 90s, early 00s. Now it is a joke, which is why I left. But, things can change, things can improve.
Beyond a certain point there's no way to reverse what has already been wrought via the ballot box and/or lying politicians, it's gone too far, and the UK has structures of state that make it virtually impossible to undo the damage anyway, such as the overwhelmingly left leaning female voting block of NHS workers, they will not vote for secure borders, smaller govt or an end to free stuff. It's not about being +ve or -ve, it's about dealing with the world as it really is, not as we would wish it to be. There are just too many people with a vested interest in the status quo, and that's never mind the millions who've come from abroad, attracted by the free stuff, or for destructive ideological reasons.
I intend to leave the UK but I have a problem. A family one. I am a carer for my father. That is the only thing keeping me here otherwise I would have vacated these shores sooner. The problem is not the issue of caring for my father. The problem is that my father refuses to leave. But he expects me to stay. I have tried my best to make it work here but I know the longer I delay the more chance that leaving becomes unavailable to me. The reason for that is simple. If the Western world declares we are on a war footing no one will be able to leave or move. We will be stuck where we are and maybe forever. What would you do in a situation where your elderly father is unable to leave but is expecting you to stay and sacrifice yourself in the process?
I am already making plans to move to Japan as I already been there for 2 weeks and while I do believe Trump will win as of 10/30/24 America is too far gone to make it great again in 4 years
Canada grows no food. Japan is the most developed country in the world with very successful businesses worked by very hard working people. Doing limited services like English teaching will let you sample their hard worked riches. Western countries like UK are now knowledge economies, what trained certificationand trade do you know? The more defeloped your skill you then earn the higherstandard of living. The issue is they are not catering for the unskilled worker, however some Mediterranean countries do cater better for the unskilled workers. I have lived in Oz and worked hard to obtain certifications in UK.
It's more because most of the foods grown in Canada are exported for profit. Only benefiting a few businesses but not bringing down the food prices for the whole nation. Also logistic distribution and labour is costly in Canada adding to the inflation
I really hate conspiracy theories, so it pains me to say this but I don't think that any of this is by accident. I wonder if it's because we are on the cusp of an Artificial Intelligence breakthrough. Where AI will be able to perform many white collar jobs just like automation has done with blue collar jobs. You would still need a certain amount of people of the servant class for the wealthy. They need their dog walkers, instacart shoppers, nannies and gardeners. So if this is indeed the case and the owners of society no longer need large populations of working class. Then the question is, what do they do with them? One way is to euthanize us all which would be deeply immoral and the other way is for the welfare state to support us in the form of Universal Basic Income. But what if the owners of the society doesn't want to foot the bill of a welfare state. Well perhaps the strategy is what we are experiencing now in many western countries. All the markers are there. Declining birth rates, declining life expectancies, increasing crime, laissez faire on drugs and crime etc. Then you have stagnant wages with skyrocketing inflation. What other conclusion can I draw other than they are deliberately trying to destroy society so that there are less mouths to feed once we are no longer needed in large numbers.
Well, as someone living in Japan (ex-UK) for 27 years, I could write a Phd thesis on the subject. Suffice to say, right now they're under great pressure from the UN, WEF, US Gov. and US corporations to accept mass-immigration and become like Europe/Can/UK/USA.
you're an outsider and will never be Japanese, they will never accept you. You're just another annoying foreigner. You'll find it much harder to progress in a corporate setting, poor wages and they're starting to ramp up the mass immigration.
@@thadtuiol1717 Absolutely, and that would be an interesting PhD! :) I would suggest one issue might be Visas - they are quite strict. I've know people to start successful businesses there as a side hustle, but when they wanted to switch to running the business full-time their visa prevented that as it was tied to the job, so they had to leave. I'm sure there were ways around, but the businesses were portable (online) so it was easier for them to move - I think this is possibly an area where Japan could leverage it to its advantage. An open border policy would destroy the unique Japanese culture though. All the best.
His country lost the war an de the West reestablished itself in a new geopolitical order. Neonationalism is NOT the answer, be very careful about that.
What kind of "GET OUT" are you talking about? What hadn't you liked about trying to live in the United States? It IS a big country, after all. Where were you living - certainly not San Francisco. Other than the entire rehash of the tent cities in San Francisco, you never mentioned anything about the United States. Taking into account the tent cities in Oregon and Washington, (which have been there - politically encouraged, as well) for years, why would any American scurry away from the US? Who lives in San Francisco - how does that influence anyone ... anywhere in the US? Americans still fully enjoy our full freedoms and rights. While those same rights are no where near available to the people in Britain, Canada and Australia, they're completely available in the US. There is no country that offers more freedom and opportunities than the United States. The United States is the best country overall. If you can choose anywhere in the world to grow up, to have a chance at success, the United States would be the place. We have the most robust economy, we have freedoms that you don't have in other places in the world, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, freedom of self-defense. Costs may be high in the biggest of cities where I live - but, so are salaries. Even if the election ends crazily, our laws and rights still can't be touched, as we see daily in the UK. Sure, there might be attempts. But, that doesn't mean their success. Americans would never roll over and accept it, either. Actually, I'm just about your age. I don't own a business. I live in a suburb - who needs hustle and bustle? My family (I'm married with two pre-teens) and I will be selling our home, in a year or so. Using 25% of that new income, we will buy a new home, with more land - this in a nearby state. The rest will be invested - it's easy enough to do - been doing it since I was just past a teenager. Why would I run out of the United States? And also, surprise, surprise - but many white men like myself - find it ... very undesirable to get involved with any southeast Asian girl. That's a definite impossibility. It's a personal choice - of course. But, it never could have been mine, or anyone that I know.
As an American who left the US twelve years ago, I wholeheartedly disagree with you. Americans are not free at all. You are slaves to the healthcare system, consumerism, censorship and the pressure to achieve the 'American Dream' or be rich amongst many other things. People are trained to believe that the US is somehow the most free country, and I can tell you from experience that is not the case at all. I have lived and worked in several countries and traveled to many more, and I have felt more free in every country that I have been to including those countries that Americans demonize like China (where I lived and worked for 3 years). I'm not saying the US is bad or that I hate the US. But, I reached a point where it was obvious that I would not be able to live a good life and raise a family without problems around schools, gun violence, healthcare costs, poor food quality etc, which are all problems that existed when I was a kid. Nothing has changed, so I voted with my feet and was able to achieve the 'American Dream' elsewhere in addition to having healthcare, good schools for my kids, a better quality of life and help with saving for retirement.
@@pumuckl0 Well, to each his own, I guess. I have counter statements to each. But, figure, what's the point? I sure wasn't gonna try and convince you, anyhow. That certainly was some trek, though, wasn't it. oops, for a minute, I'd thought that you left off the omnipresent school shootings! Thank you, though. all the very best from NYC.
@@rightlyso8507 Feel free to make those arguments to the people who haven't left yet. I'm not saying everyone should leave and it's not for everyone, but there are plenty of reasons why many people are considering this. It's not about what people think, it's about what makes you happier, healthier and able to achieve what you want. For me, that's been living abroad.
It's the US that has caused most of the downfall in Europe, especially culturally. the USA destabilises every single region around Europe and causes mass untold immigration. It's almost single handily the USA who has destroyed Europe, the child has killed the father. Also, I think if you asked most people in Europe if they want to live in the USA they'd tell you hell no. Except maybe areas like the mid west where the way of life is much simpler and quieter.

China has a huge interest in trade and export. They wont be closing any sea way anywhere. China has no beef with Japan if it doesn't interfere into China politics and reunification with Taiwan, of which Japan has no realistic interest in doing at the cost of trade anyway. Only the US is actively sizing up China due to US global ambition, the allies only pretend to follow suit US foreign policies but there's little real benefit to them.

It’s sobering to listen to you guys. The UK and all that remained Canada, Australia etc has turned to nothingness.

Tell him you are leaving and he is welcome to come with you. Put the ball in his court.

What other conclusion can I draw other than they are deliberately trying to destroy society so that there are less mouths to feed once we are no longer needed in large numbers.
Loved hearing about Japan. Tell us more about the problems there though.

Another place not to move to… so move where??
Well, good for you wherever you did end up - finally avoiding ALL those problems.
@@pumuckl0 Oh - you're back. To what you've written ...... ok ... sure.
Ok but the east is even worse. Still you can live in Poland, who is in the middle :)

I pay 38% federal income tax in Canada
Little story. Young couple that I know in their late 30s moved from Germany to Canada as they couldn't stand what was happening to Germany and thier city. They both had well paid jobs in IT, saved literally on everything for a few years!
And only then they could buy land and build some simple house with mortgage in Canada, somewhere in the nature.
Still in IT though. But for them this house also feels expensive. Am sure thier wage is above average.
That's ridiculous there are plenty of rural areas in Germany where you can buy an old house with a large property for like 150k.
@maximilianmusterhans4659 they moved because they don't like Germany anymore
I’m a 67 year old woman with US, UK, and Canadian citizenships. I’m planning a move to Latin America if Kamala wins in the US. I’ve been studying Spanish for the past few months. I know I’ll never be fluent, but I will learn to get by with a new language and on my small pension income.
japan is not the best place.....if china closes the sea ways they are screwed......
They will cop out when the benefit no longer align with the cost.
In Toronto case, If I make 5k after tax, n my rent is 1.5k (sharing a 2br) then I think it’s not too bad, I can save about 1k monthly I guess
