I bought the subscription on LIV not fox, younger folks dont have public tv or cable. TV ratings are like world golf ratings imo.

I watch on the LIV app.

If you look at the concert site at liv there was probably more than 12000 there. I personally was caught off guard day 1 of Liv with it being of FS 2. It’s good to be with fox but they are making it hard for viewers. Also from my experience the Liv app is only pay; I’m sure a lot of people were caught off guard by that 60$ annual fee as well. So I’m not sure those numbers are great either. The winner really is the various Liv recaps on you tube. Many Liv fans are saying that’s all they have now. Canadiens have been complaining they lost their free ways to watch. . People without cable don’t have a free way to watch. I think it’s still too early for Liv to start charging. And to change the channels around so much. Liv seems to be doing nicely around the world. In the US we still have a lot of people who are still on that jay kool aid. So it’s holding them back which is such a shame. But it will change over time. I did enjoy the note coverage so much better than shadow creek match. I don’t get Liv backtracking the pants thing. It worked well in the dark. But at Adelaide it will be sooooo weird to see them all on pants. I mean I get the tradition thing but IMHO when golfers play on heat with pants they kind of remind me of when kids play a sport for the first time and they are completely dressed wrong. It is ridiculous to make pro golfers wear pants to when the heat in near 100 degrees. I think this is the new ceo thinks it looks more pro to wear pants or something. I don’t think it’s anything that has anything to do with the big picture of deals and stuff. Yes …better leadership. Oh I’m hatin on Jay Day. I actually kind of liked Ricks look with the touch of orange inside. I thought that was cool. But Jason’s clothes … who relays to that ??? Good show btw

I have FS2 and CW and still only ever watch LIV on the app or web, no adverts, why on earth would anyone want to watch adverts?

I dislike LIV shutting down wearing shorts. I liked letting the players be comfortable in shorts and feel it adds to LIV appealing to the younger generation as well as myself. If LIV was around 30 years ago, I would have gotten into golf as a youth instead of as an older adult. I love the relaxed atmosphere of LIV and have always hated the stuffy attitude that golf has portrayed.

The change from shorts could have happened because several teams signed clothing deals over the off-season.

Adelaide coverage starts at 9PM ET so you can watch at least a couple of hours before you go to bed. You should really do your research before you complain.

LIV looked great under lights. Much better than TGL.

Colt Knost's dig is one of the reasons I no longer watch the PGA. I prefer more professional LIV commentators.

The PGA need Trump to get Justice Dept to leave the PGA alone so they can do the deal with PIF. Australia has been ignored by USPGA tour for years.

I got a survey from LIV asking a bunch of questions. The one thing I put down as a dislike was the shorts. Grown men in shorts is just silly.

I don't buy cable, so I bought the LIV Golf+ app annual package. Watched all three rounds on the app. I really enjoyed the night golf and was happy to see a unique individual winner in Meronk.

Round 1 was also 10 am on a work day....i don't know about you all but I am pretty sure 99% of the golfers who would watch the broadcast are also you know....working and in meetings at 10 am. 10 am - 3pm -> the entire work day. Pretty sure you would be fired if you are spending 5 hours watching golf instead of you know....working.

The Shark really needed to step down. There was clearly something going on between the lines so I’m glad to see Liv and PGA finally working together. PGA needs to get with the times and break these “traditions”, even JT and Homa have been on PGA to do things to get more involved with their fans like Liv has been doing. Golf needs to keep the captured audience of the younger generation who picked up golf during COVID

The comment at the WM is what we used to call “ the needle”. Common practice among golfers since golf was invented. A damn good needle too.

I would highly recommend you have someone from the advertising business explain viewership numbers and monetization of said viewer base. U.S viewership and monetization vrs. Anywhere else in the world. How do you not know this, yet speak incorrectly as you do?

LIV is going to thrive internationally. They will probably be second fiddle here. But with just a half dozen events in America, I think liv will have successful events here. I prefer liv, it’s essentially an all star game every tournament. But I don’t expect them to beat the pga tour here.

We watched it free in the UK. As did a lot of my golfing buddies.. the FS2 ratings mean nothing because LiV is free to watch on many different formats worldwide. And at 12k I bet it still had more viewings than TGL does outside of America 😂😂

Liv's broadcaster have tried to be as fair as possible. They never take shots at the competition. Even on the Liv podcast the even talk about the pga tour news. All the hate is going 1 way.

I tried to watch through the app on my TV. But they wanted me to pay for it this year. It has been free the past few years. The app has been revamped so maybe I was doing it wrong.

LIV was more watchable than WM. I watched more LIV than PGA

LIV also has just signed with ITV in UK . That means it's in every house free to air . All other golf is on expensive paywalled streaming

I don't think the PGAT and all those who ride hard for it like Colt and BC, realise just how many folk they have driven away .

I watched in the UK on free to air with no ads. Not sure why you think the entire world revolves around the US PGA tour? I would think that more people in the UK watched LIV than watched WM on the PGA.

You are massively misinterpreting what the local exemption is. This is what is correct: "...local exemption will be awarded to the top 10 players in the 2025 LIV Golf Individual Standings as of April 7, 2025, which is the Monday that kicks off the 89th playing of The Masters. These 10 players will receive direct invites to Final Qualifying for the U.S. Open." Those 10 players bypass all the qualifiers for the US Open and go straight to the 36 hole final, they DO NO go straight into the US Open.

I started playing seriously and watching golf in 2022 when LIV started and LIV was just easily accessible. The PGA tour was impossible to find, they didn't stream on TH-cam and they didn't have streaming option on their website. I eventually subscribed to Peacock and some other services to be able to watch it but the coverage was awful and you could only watch it live and not stream it later. My routine is to watch the LIV tournaments starting the following Monday after the tournament is over from start to finish and that's just not possible with the PGA Tour.

I absolutely love this! I am one of those that will not watch the PGA tour again until they change their hatred towards LIV! Jay Moneyhamm needs to go!

Do you guys not think. Both the US OPEN and THE OPEN are exactly that. They’re open to all golfers who qualify. Be that by entering and doing well at specific official qualifying rounds, or by their world ranking standing, or by exemption through previously winning. The USPGA and R&A have merely included LIV events as a form of qualification. You don’t have to have a PGA tour card to enter the open. That’s why you see Amateurs in these events. I personally don’t like LIV but if the players are good enough then why shouldn’t they be able to compete in an OPEN tournament.

Should be top 10 in LIV golf. LIV golf has MOST of the great players. PGA is going to lose whatever hold they had on golf. No one really watches a PGA tourney and believes there are great players in the field. A few, but not many

PGA is a beginner tour now. I hardly watch because they keep telling me that these no-names are ranked in the top 100. PGA is trash.

The PGA went from promoting and growing golf, to believing they owned golf. Fatal mistake.

The point I notice, is the fact there are quite a few former Masters champions on LIV. I do NOT think that is by accident, as you get a lifetime exemption to the Masters for winning, the ONLY Major to do so.

When the LIV players were getting shunned and treated like horrible people by the media I was disgusted. Sure, Saudi Arabia got caught doing bad things, just like every other country in the history of mankind and every country in the world right now. Not taking the money wasn’t making the PGA guys moral leaders. It made them morons🤔
