mild and creamy taste, IMO

Time to “Man Up”. There are women who eat the sardines right from the can. Do, they don’t have that “fishy taste”, but you need a cracker to take away that “fishy taste”? Thanks for your opinions.

If farm raised in China I put mine on a cracker with some hot sauce tonight I had some until I started reading the box and seeing they were from China and I was thinking I never would have bought them

Got news for you, there is a California warning on most everything. Just like there is a warning not to fall off a ladder and not to put a fork in the light socket. If you fall victims to the things these warnings are about, then natural selection has culled you from the population.

I love kippered herring, and especially at room temperature with added lemon juice and with saltine crackers and hard yellow rat cheese….extra sharp cheddar. Been a snack from my grade school days. I am now 75 yo. But I prefer King Oscar brand, a product of Norway.

No no no, brother first pull out the beard of the mussel, then trader joes has a wonderful garlic dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the mussel, it's like heaven on earth!

I just recently purchased 12 of the Polar Kipper Snacks... they were gone in a few days....they were $2.00/can and 100 MG of sodium......a few days ago I found Beach Cliff KIpper Snacks at Dollar Tree for $1.25....I was real happy, then not so when I found out they have 500MG of Sodium....that's 5X the sodium of the Polar brand....they both taste great....thanks for the video

These are my favorite kippers on the market. Mild smokey taste, no wacky additive ingredients. It's just smoked fish in water.

Brine is salt water. The best kippers come from Scotland, wild caught in the Atlantic ocean. Aberdeen is the place thats the centre of industry. I buy whole kippers. S & F brand.

I just eat them by themselves with a fork, kipper snacks are delicious. My grandfather would always eat canned fish and I was never willing to try it. Then one day I just randomly decided to get some when I found his favorite brand at the store. Now I always have some different varieties of canned fish in with my canned goods. I won't eat the canned smokey oysters though. I think they are delicious but after I found out where they came from I opened a can and held my radiacode over them. Turns out that canned oysters are significantly above background radiation and according to the interwebs they also like to collect heavy metals like lead and mercury.

Now ya know why they are 99 cents. It’s ok…it will make you appreciate the good ones when you get them. One thing I like to do with dines in tomato sauce is put the tin in real warm water to loosen it up

I tried them as well. I didn't care for them. I'm used to fresh oysters on the half shell. Still I can say that I tried them. They were dry and I've never eaten a dry oyster before. I'm a sailor myself. Coast Guard. 7 years active duty. Tell Grandpa, I said thank you for his service. Hope this finds him well.

Do yourself a favor. Squeeze a fresh lemon wedge across any tinned fish filet your eating. Maybe add a drop or two of Tabasco. And… but a good cracker! Think of tinned fish as you would deli meat or sim. It’s better with flavor accents or condiments. Thank you for all of your reviews! Best!

Brine is just salted water can include spice, hence pickle brine. I don't have much experience with kippered herring but sardines and other fish are usually tinned with the guts out.
