@@tarawalker7193 Haha. One of these days - one day soon - I will finally order some Nuris from Rainbow Tomatoes Garden! I’ve heard nothing but good things from SJB and MC.
I have some of those from Renys as well! Nice to see another Mainer digging the dines! They almost always have an interesting selection depending on which location you visit. Subscribed
Thanks, Jeremy! It sure seems like they do. I’m going to have to check out some different brands the next time I’m there. Do you have any favorite Reny’s ‘dines?
@@JonMousseau I almost always pick up some Bar Harbor smoked sardines and a filet offering from them as well. And every now and then there is a large tin of of a tomato chili variety that I'll have to go look at to find the name. It's always changing. But there are always guaranteed dines.
@@shpuply I’m going to have to give the Bar Harbor sardines a try! I’ve had their herring fillets only once. And the tomato chili sounds pretty intriguing. Lots of interesting flavors out there!
I tend to not like sardines in mustard, but have ended up with some in my stash. I have found that if I dump the can and mix in the sauce, they are much more tasty. I bet that would work with these tomato sauce sardines as well. Sardines in tomato sauc aree widely used as ingredients in dishes, more than eaten out of the can.
Are you sure those were not spoiled sardines?? I was sure they were when I first watched this. I found myself yelling at my phone “John don’t eat those!!! No! John no! No! Don’t eat those John! “ Anyway, thank you for your contribution to science.
Hahaha. I thought I had checked the expiration date, but now that you mention it, maybe they really had gone bad. Usually when one buys sardines, they’re good for, like, ten years. Regardless, I’ll be more careful in the future.
Now ya know why they are 99 cents. It’s ok…it will make you appreciate the good ones when you get them. One thing I like to do with dines in tomato sauce is put the tin in real warm water to loosen it up
You've had the worst - now try the best! You're gonna wanna splurge for the tomato NURI tin. You will not be disappointed!
Ah, yes - the NURIS. I’m looking forward to ordering a few some day. I’ll make sure that one of them is a tomato tin. Thanks, SJ!
LOL..Your arch enemy Matthew Carlson brought me here because what are we even doing here?
@@JonMousseau I totally agree with SJB. You deserve the best after the pain of these Seasons. lol

I have that in King Oscar. I liked them
Before you open the tin, try warming it up in some warm water…it makes a big difference

Try Sea Tales sardines packed in spicy tomato sauce.
They’re 🔥
Try RugenFisch Herring Fillets in Tomato Sauce, those are pretty tasty, especially with some black pepper.
Awesome! I’ll have to order some. It looks like they’ve got a nice selection! Thanks C.H.
Try M.W Polar sardines and herring.

True. And if I can get a decent video out of it, then 99¢ is certainly worth it.
Very good video but those sardines are tasty as well
Thank you for sacrificing yourself for us. That looked brutal.
John you have an awsome voice! You should be a radio personality or an announcer of so.e sorts. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! I appreciate the kind comment. I would love to give that a try one day, if I could figure something out!
Just had some rn that shit is good asf lemme tell u
They look old! I bet they may be ok but way out of date… past vintage! Lol
I think you’re right! Haha.
