    I wonder what happened , just finished watching the last his last video . Did he loos interest in fish , did he move on to some other kind of fish , camera break , loos internet access , did a house fall on him , leave to join the french foreign legion or did a fish company sue him for a bad review ?

    Kippers are great for breakfast with some toast or plain rice. I normally put the unopened can in a pot of hot water for a few minutes to warm up the fish and oils.

      I wd NOT put any aluminum tin of any food in contact with ANY heat as the aluminum transfers into the food then into your body then past the blood brain barrier, its the hallmark of parkinsons, alzheimers, dementia etc. BEWARE, and throw out all your aluminum pots pans cookie sheets, etc. and your keurig items, that forces hot water thru plastic/aluminum, its a nightmare for your body to deal with...oh my....

    Kippered means smoked. German herring is generally pretty good, with a lot of variety. M.W.Polar has a good product of kippers with cracked black pepper.

    Brine is just salted water can include spice, hence pickle brine. I don't have much experience with kippered herring but sardines and other fish are usually tinned with the guts out.

    I just recently purchased 12 of the Polar Kipper Snacks... they were gone in a few days....they were $2.00/can and 100 MG of sodium......a few days ago I found Beach Cliff KIpper Snacks at Dollar Tree for $1.25....I was real happy, then not so when I found out they have 500MG of Sodium....that's 5X the sodium of the Polar brand....they both taste great....thanks for the video

    Kipper snacks are great! I eat them for breakfast with toast and eggs. I also like to eat kipper snacks with rice. The best way to heat canned fish is via sous vide, hot water bath. Stick the whole can in some hot water for a few minutes to heat the fish.

    Kipper or 'kippered' snacks are awesome. I live in Thailand, just returned from Northeast of the USA, which has a similar climate to where you recorded this amazing review, and I brought back two different brands of kippered snacks with me. 9 tins to be precise, because they don't exist here on the far side of the world. I have not seen or tried 'Polar' brand, but will look for it. I prefer 'Bar Harbor' brand Natural Smoked Wild Kippers. It's more than 2x th cost of my second favorite, 'Brunswick Herring Fillets Seafood Snacks.'. For what it's worth, my Thai partner loves these tinned fishes, and insists to bring back many to Thailand every time we visit a Western country. Businesse opportunity? ;)

    I’ve had some King Oscar Kipper Snacks staring me in the face for months that I randomly picked up last year. Well today was the day, I had about the same reaction as you but finished them.
    I had them on ritz lightly salted crackers. I put mustard on them to cut the natural fats of the herring. A pinch of apple cider vinegar would have been nice to try as well or a squeeze of lemon. Anyway, after my experience I had to search for others. Found this and subscribed. I plan on eating more sardines this year to get my omega 3 levels up with the least worry of Mercury and sustainment of larger Pelagic fishes.

    I just eat them by themselves with a fork, kipper snacks are delicious. My grandfather would always eat canned fish and I was never willing to try it. Then one day I just randomly decided to get some when I found his favorite brand at the store. Now I always have some different varieties of canned fish in with my canned goods. I won't eat the canned smokey oysters though. I think they are delicious but after I found out where they came from I opened a can and held my radiacode over them. Turns out that canned oysters are significantly above background radiation and according to the interwebs they also like to collect heavy metals like lead and mercury.

    Kipper snacks on toasted white bread with a little onion, pickle, mayo, mustard and some crunched up potato chips will put you back on kipper snacks. The hard smoke flavor can be off-putting for a newer tinned fish eater and that really helps balance it out

  • @elijahheuerman392
    @elijahheuerman392 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    There is few recipes that you can use for cooking. The British use them with eggs the Italians use them in cream sauce over noodles and lot of parmesan. Since the fish has subtle taste some things would not go well with like for example a trisket. Go with a blander flavor of Cracker or better yet a bread.
