It Snowed. Therefore I Must Slide.
มุมมอง 61010 หลายเดือนก่อน
It finally snowed here in Michigan... and a pretty decent amount. There's about 13 inches on either side of my driveway. The precipitation happened over the weekend which meant there were plenty of wide open, unplowed parking lots. It was perfect. 09G Transmission Solenoid Removal and Replacement - 2007 2.5L New Beetle Valve Body Repair
I just went stage oen APR tune with the ultralink yesterday. Tip: dont let your Macbook or computer time out for power saving in the middle of flash. lol. So far so good. I traded in my 2016 mk7 R for this 22 Mk8. i miss my 16 but this 22 drives much more nimble and like my gti did. Great video thanks. also APR credited me with the tune I purchased for old R and I only paid for ultralink device. GOAPR
The “Magic stick” recommendation was clutch. I was singing the 50 cent song every time I used it. I bought a little bit driver from Amazon that got lots of use. Someone mentioned putting the screw back where they belong as you remove from another video. That was a great organization tip. It’s a more fun car with it. The 1.8t is no low end torque monster but she pulls pretty good up top!
got a question for anyone, does that mean the obd port is always in use with this, because the tune im getting requires that obd port that this uses, if so i can only run this or the tune???
Can you get bigger tires?
What's the ride like, over stock?
How in the world did you wire up those GTI fog lights? Been searching for a guide but theres nothing out there man. Would appreciate a quick video on it I know theres people out there in the same boat as me hahaha.
Can a is38 work on Tiguan 2019 ?
I don’t know the answer to that.
Not available to use on MK6 GTI platform!!!
Hey man is there any chance you good give a list of all the tools needed to do installs like this
Its also great they use your video for their product sound clips. Nicely done!
Yeah! 👍 thanks for noticing!
This video spoke to me, sir! My 4yo is autistic and it’ll just be me and her for a medium flight coming up. I was worried about the car seat situation… Thank you!
Fantastic! If you can get it to be a seat she likes to ride in in the car, it could make the transition to the plane super easy.
@ we just got off our first flight and she had a good time! Even fell asleep.
So I ended up doing this job this past weekend. Replaced the entire valve body and bought a kit online that had oil, seals for the pan, new screws, filter, etc. My symptoms were the car once "warmed up" would get stuck in 3rd gear. You can reset it, but it would immediately get stuck shortly after. Scanner tool said something about solenoid B. Took me about 2 days to complete this job. Not as simple as this video haha. Oil pan plug was seized on mine and had to remove the whole pan instead and ended up dropping the whole thing all over myself. If you drop the entire valve body this spring thing may fall out. It goes spring first and then that metal piece after. It goes at the very top in one of the holes in the corner (You can see the spring at 9:22). Def need that right angle pick to get all the wire connections out (take lots of pics). Eventually got everything back in. This video doesn't show it but other videos show that there is a different plug up top towards the front of the car where you can pump in the fluid. Its a screw holding in a sensor, just slightly pull the sensor out the way and stick your pump inside and fill through there. Apparently you're suppose to have the car on and warmed up while doing this, pump till it started to drip (secondary plug should be tighten, only main plug should be open). Car is shifting and working now, seems like TCM is relearning and because of that the shifts are pretty rough. I do have a code P0715 (input speed sensor) I have to clear every time I turn the car on. Not sure why I am getting that, but will probably end up replacing it wherever that sensor is. Other car shops around my area wanted to charge me around 1K for this job or 1.5-2k USD for a new transmission. I spent probably $400-500 buying all the parts and some tools I needed for this job. Goodluck guys will post and update on that sensor.
i went on the ultralink website and all i see is stage 1 and tunes for different APR turbo none for an IS38 2016 Golf R just the high torque stage 1 tune there is no different tunes for a Mk7R with catted downpipe, fmic, and bolt ons
Thanks dude ! Just bought a mk7.5 sportwagen 6spd manual 4motion and the headlights are cracked. Will be using this video as a guide, many thanks !
No problem! Can’t wait for you to enjoy the car.
I will try a little wd40 spray to get the small pcv hose off.
Anyone know the part number to the hose?
Great video. Thanks.
Thanks! Glad it helped.
would this work with my phone as a camera? Want to get some shots from the convertible outside the windsheild looking in. Camera on the hood
Definitely.
Excellent video with details on installation! Excelente video con detalles! Bravo!
Gracias! I appreciate the kind words!
Love the gauge sweep on start. Gotta play with my OBD11!
Sounds horrible. Thanks for saving me $200+. Love the content! New MI wagon owner here! Keep it up!
Would that muffler delete void any warranty?
Ok...i see the muffler delete part but else was it thet you used
This is a very comprehensive review. It's worth the investment as a second car seat . It's lightweight and sturdy.
There is a relearn procedure you are supposed to do after both changing the valve body and changing the solenoids.
Thanks! I'll give it a try.
How was the fitment with the stock axles? No need for longer ones?
No need for longer ones.
I had a spring fall out and I don't know the orientation
Check your blinker fluid
Nice to see you back 👍
Thanks 👍
DId you put any gas in it ?
Not a dumb issue. I have an Alltrack and was running Helix lamps. The turn signal went out and replaced the board. It was good for a minute then it when went out again and shortly after the main bulb went out. I ended up moving to a set of BMP lamps because I lost faith in the Helix. So far so good, but I still have the factory halogens just in case. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Vic! Keep them coming!
Unsubscribed. J/K. Glad you got it sorted....I've done this kind of crap more times than I can count.
Glad its sorted! My aftermarket headlights are impossible to change installed so I had to remove the bumper plenty as well troubleshooting. I can get a headlight out now though with only half the bumper removed which saves some time!
Do I need to change the radiator air deflectors or can they be maintained? They are fixed to the radiator support.
I wish I could remove the headliner grab handles clips. Those are terrible.
Can you stick an periscope on the the bulb's wires? "really dim" could be the ECU thinking it's trying to PWM it down to DRL brightness. Have you checked the voltage on that bulb's wires? Have you checked the voltage across the bulb's contacts with it "on"?
Off topic: Pick up a strider bike for your child. In learning to ride a bike, balance is more important than pedaling. Training wheels delay the learning of balance and instead focus on pedaling
Will do!
He's back!
question, about how high off the ground was the car lifted ? I dont have access to a lift so I will have to do this on jacks as well, thanks in advance
It was a long time ago, but I would guess between 14 and 18 inches off the ground
@@DadWagonI appreciate the reply ! Also about how long did it take you to complete roughly ?
If you can swap over the entire headlight just to test ( I think they both have the same connector/pin configurations) and see if it's the actual housing or the car's wiring.
❤👏👏👍🇬🇧🍻
Sorry no help, I had a similar issue I figured was the ballast, searched all over the internet to find an exact replacement, it came and had different connectors, was a big headache but turns out in my case it was just a bulb... Can't believe I didn't think to try that first!
I have the same problem and have not been able to solve it.
well, i'll keep you posted if i get it solved - you do the same.
To see if it's on the vehicle side or the light housing remove both and plug in the passenger side on the driver side. If it works normally it's the housing. If it's the same problem it's the vehicle side.
Good idea and i did do that. It is the vehicle side.
Sounds like a issue in your wiring somewhere, time to get out your multimeter and test voltage might be a ground issue? That would be my first best guess.
On it!
If the issue is still there after swapping your OEM headlamps, the issue is on the car side. Have you scanned for faults? A dimmer bulb is usually a voltage drop issue, either bad ground, bad power, or high resistance(partially broken wire, corroded wire, corroded ground) Any evidence of water ingress(water leaks)? My first step would be a voltage drop test on the power and ground side of the headlamp pins if that bulb is the only one affected.
I'm getting a "drive side bulb needs to be replaced". I will start with a voltage drop test.
Assuming this happened over time or was it over night? What brand are the headlights?
I believe it happened 'overnight' or immediately. I'm not 100% sure on that.
I tried to do this on my Alltrack with the Obd11 and it’s not supported.
