    Just had the APR installed today (on my 2015 A4 S-Line 6 MT) by my tuning shop and I love it!
    As you mentioned, this is the way I feel the car should have come from the factory.
    I’m nearing the completion of a big turbo build and found the car laggy. This changes things considerably and it feels like a completely different car!

    Great video, extremely informative.
    I have a question though. I’m about a month away from getting my APR stage 1 tune but in the mean time I was about to order the APR throttle booster. Should I go ahead and instal it now? the throttle booster will make a difference even with out the tune correct?
    And it is relatively safe to have this booster and a tune I assume? I take it you have both a tune and this booster right?

      Throttle booster and tune are completely different things and you can use the throttle booster before the tune and after the tune and it will not make any difference.

      You’ll be fine to install before or after. And should not hurt your vehicle at all.

    Thanks for the video! I purchased the APR unit and the gray clip on my unit also broke (as shown in this video). Wish they would send it in the unlocked position. It's takes quite a bit of force to 'unlock' the gray locking mechanism. APR was great though - called the 800 number and they said they would send a new cable right away.

      @@DadWagon I have t admit - it was actually my fault and I felt like an idiot LOL! I thought I had to pull up on the gray piece to release it before I could attach it to the factory harness. I pulled and pulled and it broke. After talking to a few people, I realized that it just clicks into place, and you only need to pull up on the gray piece when removing the plug from the factory harness! APR was amazing though - they overnighted the cable free of charge. Total user error!

    hey bro i have 2019 tiguan. I've gotten a muffer delete and stage 1 ECU and a cts cold intake. I plan on installing apr throttle booster and power module. Can those two be installed at the same time? Can they work together?

      definitely. You can definitely have the throttle booster and power module both installed.

    Great video 👍🏼. I had the same exact experience w/ my APR booster. The factory clip broke off as well. Red/Orange lights were difficult. - APR booster is pretty trick, I’m liking it so far.

    Great video, thanks for the review. The grumpy cynic in me wants to avoid the wireless set up for fears the tech could become glitchy or need operating system updates or bugs. And if I lose that remote, the fun is over. But I do love the idea of more maps, and custom mapping is a very intriguing idea, especially as more people experiment and share their settings to the community.
    Aside from ease-of-use did you experience specific map settings on one or the other that you enjoyed more?

      On the BMS unit i liked Stage 2. I know wagon buddy Adam Karst enjoys Stage 3 while running in standard drive mode. I found the maps overall to feel pretty similar between the two units, although extreme mode on the APR unit felt MUCH more aggressive than the top end of of the BMS unit.

      Found a nice deal on the BMS on Vortex. Really having fun with it. A slightly bumped up stg2 is a sweet spot when you wanna play in the twisty bits in Sport mode.
      Really is very responsive and removes any lag in the pedal now, even in regular D mode.
      Instant fan.

    Awesome video!! question, if the 3 little batteries go bad on the apr controller and you replace them do have to redo everything again? And if the batteries die on you lets say at a stop light or while drive on the highway will you still have throttle response or just SOL?

      Nope, that little 'switch' only changes settings. Control and settings are saved to the control module installed below.

    So I was about to come on here to bash the APR unit because I tried to link it up about 1 million times and it didn’t seem to work. Then I pulled out of my driveway to go do an errand and almost drove through the woods across the street lol apparently it did work and I had it to the max! I’m not sure if it makes the car any quicker but it seems way faster and I have the IS38 set up as well. Pretty cool product.!

    Did you disconnect your battery first for the APR?

    Question... Have you updated your motor and trans mounts? I just recently installed a downpipe and went stage 2 on my alltrack. I have a superpro insert for the dogbone so I know there's more vibration from that inherently, but since the install around 3k the engine seems to have a lot more vibration in 4th and 5th gear.

      the only mount i've messed with is the dogbone. I some times get a stutter in first gear when releasing the brake from full stop, but don't have any vibrations that i've noticed in 5 and 6 currently.

      @@DadWagon I get the same stutter.. I've researched a lot and no one knows the exact cause but from what most people have deduced they believe it's a communication issue between the break pedal sensor and the clutch engagement. I've also noticed when the brake pedal is fully pressed down the transmission completely disengages and the rpms drop below 1000. I'm wondering if it's an issue of the engine having to rev match before the clutch engages once the pedal is released from a full depression.

    Looks cool. APR has a app. I don't need another battery thought. Just a good product. Pass, but most people will like it.

    Great video! I just installed mine yesterday and had trouble with it locking into place on the pedal side. I pushed down hard on the connector and it eventually clicked in. Also, when performing the pedal learn for the wireless switch the light never turned green. It always stayed orange no matter how many times I tried. I left it like that eventually but it seems to be working fine.

      After some back and forth with APR, I did learn that the grey tab does lift up prior to install on the pedal side. I had to use a screwdriver to lift it up, but I was very nervous based on how the first one broke.

      @@neu318 heard back from APR. Only ONE pedal relearn is necessary. You DO NOT need to do both. The App Pedal Relearn is all you would need to do as it is the simplest one.

    Any noticeable difference in mpg? I'm very intrigued by the eco mode. Can you switch modes while driving? I'm thinking I'd want eco mode on my commute, but maybe I get a wild hair part way and want to dial it up?

      Yep, can easily just click the button to shift it at anytime.

    Will this altar the downshift? When passing, I don’t go WOT but give it more gas, vehicle doesn’t downshift

      In my experience it doesn't effect downshifts at all - that is all dependent on your TCU, if you've tuned your TCU, and what drive mode (drive/sport).

    My apologies is you mentioned this in the video, I havent had have time to watch from beginning to end yet. So you didnt have any problems running either of these pedal tuners with your Unitronic tune?

      No specific issues with the tune and the pedal tuners. one of the connector is hard to fit, but that's unrelated.

    I need one of these. I have a tuned S6 and it’s quite unresponsive, but not as much as my wife’s Audi. I’ve seen times on hers where I’m floored and it’s doing absolutely nothing for 2-3 seconds.

    For the APR throttle booster, I just cannot get the orange light to go green when I do the switch pedal relearn. I’ve been at it for like 1 hour and nothing.
