Have you considered trying an additive? Lubegard is supposed to be da' bomb! I did the same with my "winter" tires (all seasons) that I just took off/replaced with summer performance tires/wheels and I mark them back of the tires with the position they were in.
I've been considering it, but then the VW purests think that adding lubeguard is blasphemy and will destroy the entire planet if you put it in. I'm not sure what to do - considering it has 'wax'-ish style agents, it should fill in the worn out bores in the valve body. Not sure if i should try it or not....
@@DadWagon To me, it can only improve it but that's just me. Supposed to be one of the most well-trusted ones. I'm going to dump it in the Passat W8s trans if that makes you feel better..hahahaha
