    My Laotie came with jp controllers. I bought the ordoospeed sine wave controllers of banggood last year as an upgrade. I ended up with a bad controller that burned up as soon as it was plugged in. I contacted banggood dozens of times and they eventually sent a new controller. Everything works, but the display reads error e10 and doesnt display speed. I gave up and put the stock jp controllers back in it. A year later my stock jp rear controller died. I hooked up the ordoospeed controllers and display and cannot fix the e10 error. I traced and checked all the wires and connectors all the way to the display circuit board. Do you think installing this ds20 display could fix it?

      Here's a funny story: I had the Regen Braking (P12 setting on the MS668) turned all the way up to 5. This resulted in a ~1000W regen. (20A). I was using an external battery I had built. When turning the setting all the way up to 5, I didn't pay any mind on the external BMS settings... It's a smart BMS with many safety settings... I had set the over charge current protection at 20A and didn't think of slightly increasing it when I say that it was already hitting 20A. After using it like thay for some days, I braked for more than 3 seconds on a decline which resulted in the BMS stop accepting charge... Unfortunately that resulted in a fried screen and a damaged controller... Lesson learnt: The charging over current protection will be bumped up to 30 or something... What's funny about it? I didn't have enough time to wait for replacement parts, so I went to the one and only place (maybe in this whole country of mine) that actually fixes this stuff... So they replaced the Screen and repaired the controller. The screen is the MS668, but somehow... It doesn't really have throttle delay any more O_O Weird stuff O_O My guess is that the dude got the MS668 as a replacement part from some different scooter model. Because I have actually seen the MS668 working without significant delay in othe scooters... So... Yeah. My MS668 doesn't have delay any more, lolz xD

    I have a different problem on mine, noticed you used switch of eco/turbo, how did you set that your scooter is on turbo mode, and not eco? My problem is that my Eco/Turbo and Single/Dual motor buttons does nothing, it stopped working, maybe you have had this problem and can suggest anything to check? Recently my brother was riding scooter and he said it turned off out of sudden then he could not turn it back on for a while and after he turned it on after a while, no switch of yellow/red buttons worked. Could it be overheated? Can it be a controller or battery failure? Or maybe switch itself?

    Hope you can give me ur opinion, i just got mine this afternoon, 1st time to charge why does the 2 chargers already turns green light even its only 66.8V, i know u said full charge is at 67.2V

    • @Desert-Ecruising
      @Desert-Ecruising 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sounds like the chargers are cutting off a bit early. Could be the voltage monitor is off a bit too. I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s less than half a volt difference. If you wanted to know for sure, you would need a dc voltmeter and measure the battery directly. Could also measure the voltage output of the chargers to see if they are 67.2v.

    • @Desert-Ecruising
      @Desert-Ecruising 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, it’s not a big deal. Less than 1/2 volt. It could be the voltage monitor is off, could be the charger only charging to 66.8v, could be the battery. You’d need a voltmeter to find out but again, it’s nothing to worry about. Try running the power down a bit then just use one charger and see what the voltage is when it turns green. Then do the same with the other charger. Maybe one charges higher than the other.

    So basically you got this one to replace the MS668 because there was throttle lag. Throttle lag is a major issue and I agree. However ~75€ just to fix this problem is a bit steep... Unfortunately the only other alternative is a ~55€ TF-100... I was actually disappointed to see that the e braking performance is weak... I've just changed the P12 setting on my MS668 and it's quite effective. I measured 20A of regen current. It's around 1000-1200W of power going back into the battery. And it really decelerates... If this 75€ screen had decent e braking, I would buy it with my eyes closed. I really want to have quick throttle response (and even quick e braking response since that has a delay too...). Now I don't want to due to weak e braking performance 😅 I wish I could know if the TF-100 has good e braking performance...

  • @FishFish1995
    @FishFish1995 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Regarding the stuttering on the stock controllers: (Please note that I also replaced the controllers on my Laotie Ti30 because one of them stopped working...) The stock controllers pull the same current on any voltage. As such, at lower voltages, due to high currents and the ever present voltage drop, you would lose power just as the battery would drop below the minimum acceptable point. This would happen when the battery was below ~40% The replacement controllers don't use the same method of current delivery. They lower the current as the voltage goes down. That reduces the torque as well as top speed on lower voltages. On the other hand the stock controller would have lower top speeds as voltage would drop, but it would maintain maximum torque. Personally I find more fun the stock behavior. The after market behavior is more sustainable tho... It stresses the battery way less and effectively gives you more range as it reduces your available power as your battery level goes down. With all that being said, I had a motor fail and then a controller fail. So good riddance with the stock setup. I haven't had similar issues with the after market one and it's been about 2 years. Also, it might be the after market controllers or the technician that installed (and might have shunt modded it without telling me...) and now the scooter pulls 8000W with a full battery 😐 Luckily I have build an external battery and will soon replace the internal one with one that I'm making... The goal is yo have extra range, but also for the batteries to be able to handle such currents... Because the stock one really can't... The voltage drop is huge...

  • @FishFish1995

    The P12 setting actually changes the electronic breaks intensity. I haven't tested how it affects acceleration yet, but it certainly changes the e brake intensity.

The open ended connectors are the female and the ones that push into them are the male connectors. You know the ones that push into/inside the open ended are male because they are like a males genitals and the open ended are like a females genitals.. get it, Doesn't that make more sense. Hello friend, I just bought the yunli controllers and the DS20 LCD, I have tried it and it is spectacular, however, when I press the and release the trigger the scooter jerks forward, this happens every time I release the trigger and it generates a small imbalance, did it happen to you? To you? This is with the Yunli drivers, with the J&B drivers these jerks did not occur when releasing the LCD trigger.

    • @Desert-Ecruising
      @Desert-Ecruising หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, i haven’t had that happen with the DS20 throttle. I did have that same issue when I had the MS668 throttle connected to the Yunli controllers which is one reason why I switched to the DS20. I think in your case it is likely the DS20 has a problem. I would contact them and tell them the issue. They might send you a new one. If you want to, you could send me your DS20 and I could test it on mine to see if it acts the same on my scoot. Also, did you use the cable that came with the DS20? You need to use their cable also. If u want me to test your DS20, email me: maikemarx@gmail.com.

      @@Desert-Ecruising Hello friend, it would be great, but I live in Peru, maybe we are very far away, I asked the seller and he told me that this can be corrected with a self-study, I see it as unlikely, every time I release the accelerator. @joanmendoza360 try the self learn then and if that doesn’t fix it let them know. I think it is an issue with the throttle. I had the exact same issue with the MS668 throttle but switching to the DS20 fixed that for me.

    I just bought the Yunli 60v 45a kit with this display, what do you think about the kit? Is it the best quality-price environment for 60v 2500w motors? I await your response PS: I will use your diagram video to install it. greetings from Chile

    I'm looking to replace the rear shock to an air one. Is the size for the rear 125mm? Wasn't sure if it was 125, 150. Couldn't find any info online either lol

      Looks to me to be 125mm. Definitely not 150mm. I just measured mounting hole to mounting hole.

      I assume you mean the LED driver harness for the tail lights and front running lights. I couldn’t find them on-line but I have one I can give you for $20 to cover shipping. If interested, email me: maikemarx@gmail.com. U could also try to email Laotie at: support@laotie.zone

      Sorry, I’m not exactly sure. I would just take one of the original ones to a hardware store to compare with what they have. I was unable to find them easily by me so didn’t add any extra’s to my scoot.

    You sound like you know whats up.. though i do have one question...for the motor phase cables, u have the green and blue swapped.. mine go from color to color g-g. B-b. Y-y. Should i switch them?

      If your motors are turning in the right direction (forward) then leave them as they are. The only reason you would swap the colors is if the motor was turning backwards. It depends on the motor/controller combination. Controllers with a “learn” function like the Yunli Sinewave controllers, will learn the phase wires regardless of how you have them wired, so it wouldn’t even matter in that case.
