Finally got to ride mine a bit yesterday, a bit of a learning curve having never ridden an electric scooter before, but after a while Im comfortable cruising at 20ish mph, though I still have to start in single motor because it is so freakin quick in dual lol. Definitely worth the price at $999, though I was able to finally get a partial refund for the difference in the promo price after a few weeks of waiting on banggoods customer service so at $750 it was an absolute steal. Since then Ive seen promo emails for it going as low as $699 in limited quantities, which is pretty mind-blowing considering that is pretty much what the battery is worth. Ill probably end up getting these headlights, though I wonder if it would be possible to wire the halo lights to work as a turn signal in the front, not sure how the signals are supplied voltage and weather it is constant and the signals blink with their own circuitry, or on and off to make them blink, but I would think the former considering they blink with a specific pattern. Anyway, thanks for recommending this scooter, and I am looking forward to seeing more mods!
It’s not a beginner scooter for certain. The Halos are not that visible when the headlights are on so wouldn’t make good turn signals. I’m pretty sure the turn signal lights have flashers built in. Gonna remove mine, and go with wireless ones on both front and back, like on my other scoots. Several kinds on Amazon. Next video is on RGB lighting, next one after that will have the turn signal removal and the wireless ones I am going to use.
Shouldn’t be a problem, I assume they’re LEDs and don’t draw much current. 😆 On Banggood instructions. I’ve never been thrown off my scooters, just have to know how to ride. I am always in 3rd gear and just switch between signal a dual motor mode. I ride on the streets and absolutely need the acceleration and full power to get up to at least 40mph as quickly as possible. Of course I wear full protective gear.
I bought some lights that looked the exact same off of temu because the ones off Amazon have like a month long shipppning time and I wired it up to test it worked for half a second and the wires started smoking
They have to be rated to work with an input voltage of at least 68v. The ones in my video are rated up to 80v. You can’t go by looks, you need to check the voltage specification. I mentioned that in the video.
Nice lights! Got my scooter 2 days ago. Presuming scooter will always be in Turbo mode now that switch has been repurposed for the halos. I do have a question about the adjustability of the brakes. My rear brake lever almost touches the handle grip when it's engaged. I don't see any adjustments at the brake calipers like my ebikes have. Any idea how they can be adjusted?
Yes, turbo mode only, which is “normal “ mode basically. Eco mode is useless to me. I have no experience with these brakes yet. My other scoot has a screw behind the lever that adjusts the pressure in the reservoir. Only thing I see on the ti30 is that screw with the star head pattern. Maybe that’s an adjustment? I’m guessing that’s the reservoir it’s sitting on top of. Probably a search online will help. Let me know what you find: maikemarx@gmail.com
@@Desert-Ecruising Rear hydraulic brakes are definitely not working correctly. Took scooter for a longer ride today and the rear brakes aren't providing much stopping power at all. After doing some research online, there may be air in the hydraulic line or not enough oil in the reservoir. Will need to troubleshoot further...
@@Desert-Ecruising Thanks! I ended up bleeding the rear hydraulic brakes yesterday and that resolved the issue. 2 properly working brakes are a must for this beast! Still trying to get used to the torquie-ness of this scooter even @ 25% power setting!😀
Hello, I have Yume y11 so similar scooter with some random aliexpress controllers and I wanna put these lights on but have the halos on with the on off light switch and then turn the headlights on with the eco turbo button. How would I do that? Also do u have a link to the lights?
The link is above, 2nd comment. To make the halos turn on with the light switch, just reverse positions of the red and yellow wires from the new lights and follow the video. So the yellow wire from the new light will go to the red wire that went to the old headlight. The red wire from the new light will go to the switched voltage from the ECO switch as shown in the video.
@@Desert-Ecruisingokay, the lights u did on the sides look sick! But that’s way to much to do and I ride it in water a lot. So I just want the halos, tail lights and side lgbs on and then when it’s dark turn on the headlights. Thank you very much for the great tutorial

I have a different problem on mine, noticed you used switch of eco/turbo, how did you set that your scooter is on turbo mode, and not eco? My problem is that my Eco/Turbo and Single/Dual motor buttons does nothing, it stopped working, maybe you have had this problem and can suggest anything to check? Recently my brother was riding scooter and he said it turned off out of sudden then he could not turn it back on for a while and after he turned it on after a while, no switch of yellow/red buttons worked. Could it be overheated? Can it be a controller or battery failure? Or maybe switch itself?
The input voltage spec is stated as 10 to 80v dc. Anything in between that range is good. I’m running them off full battery voltage just like the stock ones.
@@Desert-Ecruising awesome bro! Building a laotie ti 30 from the ground up. Got the frame , a hm motor , 72v controllers and crap. Imma mention you in my video cus your such a good help to the laotie ti30 style scooters!

@@vincezo11yep and the Dualtron is 5 times more expensive so it better be a better scoot. I paid $750 for the Ti-30.
If people don't have the money, you can take the stock laotie lights and flip the lense around. It will be a wide beam now.

Fantastic tutorial. They're much brighter and look excellent 👌
When you do the upgrade and clean up the wiring plese document and provide full part list. At minimum id love just to clean up the stock wires.
Just did the RGB lighting. Will be uploading the video tomorrow night or Sunday. The wiring clean up will be another video.
