Here’s how I see it: The lineage of King David is traced through Joseph, not Mary (it's always through the man). The Bible says that a man will leave his father and mother, cleave to his wife, and they will become "one flesh." This union is solidified through consummation. Without consummation, they would remain two individuals simply living together. Additionally, the Bible warns against withholding intimacy from your spouse to avoid giving the Devil an opportunity to tempt you. There is nothing wrong or sinful about Mary being with her husband-it would almost seem unkind if they weren’t.

Agree! The gods that were worshipped are very much the fallen Sons of God. It’s why they are all so similar. The Queen of Heaven” is Astarte, Isis, Istar, Inanna, Venus, Aphrodite. Baal is Set, is Moloch, Zeus, Hedas to all the other nations. Technically the Sons of God aren’t “Angels”, the word Angel is a title, Messenger, not a species. These Angels If beings were part of the divine council. The very same that mated with the human woman, creating human hybrids, the Nephilim, the “giants”. This is why God flooded the earth. Demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim.

I’ve been using it daily and your videos have helped me make package purchases and I just recently discovered your live videos which are a huge encouragement in general but full of great insight on how to navigate Logos from someone who’s spent a lot more time in the Word and Logos than I have. I’m soaking it in. I turned the notifications on so hopefully next time I can catch you live, thanks for your content and your ministry. God bless🙏

I rhink your reservations are in regarding the "disregarding of " traditions - however there were several exceptions you mentioned, I do agree with there are many things in our "traditions" that define our "church experience" that we don't question nor justify. and in many cases when we read the Bible, we come without "traditional baggage" (I'd say its impossible not to) I don't agree with every conclusion Frank Violoa comes up with, but the nature of challenging traditions through the lense of Biblical theology is definitely a place we should be looking. I'd further say that "the institution" is not working anymore. there was a time when it was in all its flawed natures. Now it is not and has become more apparent to see the "business model" structure vs the "community model" and its not all "pastors" faults... it comes from "the will of the people" who want the "pleasing" things rather than the "pleasing to God" things lacking growth, lacking development and maturity, rather its bringing in more members to fill our buildings to grow our organization and bring in more money... (I also know many are trying - so its not quick "black and white") but something today is not right, and its something only God can fix, and God is making many aware of these issues and "organic church" is one of the movements trying to "right the ship"

Good video. I do disagree regarding Scofield. I consider it a reference Bible not a study Bible, so I see it as comparing apples and oranges. Scofield has little commentary, but drives into the Bible to see what it says. If you need commentary, then you would need to get a commentary. Idea for future video, maybe review one volume commentaries.

The future for Israel is that they come to faith in Christ and are then part of Christ's church. I don't see the value in arguing this - though it is interesting. Pedo baptism has severely limited support in the NT. Nearly all examples are believer's baptism. I appreciate this gentleman's approach in describing both sides.

Long time Christian, lifelong thinker. Recently coming to a better appreciation of this because the Nephilim, the fallen angels, they were in the bible and they had to go/be somewhere. For the sake of further discussion (Pastor Tanner and the rest of my bros' and sis' who happen to be here), in Christian theology what happened to these elements? I know, asking a lot given the thousands of denominations and interpretations that we have. What is yours? Did they survive the flood (spiritual form)? Were they destroyed when satan was bound through the sacrifice of Christ when He redeemed the world? Or are they bound together, just limited in their actions but still lurking in wait for the millennium to end.

Joshua 21:43-45 YWH fulfilled His promises regarding the land. It was contingent on their obedience as evidenced by the the Babylonian Captivity. They rejected the Messiah which puts them in a state of disobedience today. Therefore, they have no legitimate claim to the modern state of Iz based on the scriptures.

Without watching this video, I'd just like to ask all of you informed people out there a question: If my understanding is that true spiritual Israel, or in other words, the true offspring or seed of Abraham, is everyone who is in Christ while simultaneously understanding that genetic Jews in the physical land of "restored in 1948 Israel" will be saved after they are surrounded by hostile Gentile nations and therefore the whole world will understand that God is their savior, including those genetic Jews, then what category of belief described in this video am I? (And please no snarky answers)

Not even close. Talking fast is tactical. Membership covenants are part of the Independent Fundamental Church at Ephesus in Revelation 2. No where did Jesus say membership was a proof. Again beware of fast talkers who twist the Scripture. Submitting to Spiritual oversight is for The Holy Spirit, not a man or board. This false belief is keeping people away.

Thank you for your videos they are extremely useful to some one trying to make sense of all the wide range of options

Hi there. Somewhat embarrassingly, I only learned of the Book of Enoch today. I’d attributed ancient mythology from various cultures to be their deductions based on their traditions, but it did always bother me as to what their origins may have been, and what the implications to them predating Christianity would’ve been. At uni, I had Ancient Cultures as a module to make up some credits, and a lecturer of mine who also happened to be Christian always avoided any discussions brought about in lectures relating to the dating of religions and which is correct, and so on. The fallen angels, along with some of the apparent translations and descriptions I’ve been able to find online (there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of solid conjecture on this stuff), seem to line up pretty well with some of the gods discussed in various ancient religions. For instance: there existed an angel of thunder, an angel of lightning, a serpent angel (Leviathan), and an angel of the Sun. These correlate to many of the most popular gods from Norse mythology, Greek mythology, and Egyptian mythology. Enoch’s book mentioned something like 200 total angels that fell, but of course only mentioned the leaders of the various groups. I’m not entirely sure if this is indeed an explanation for the ancient polytheistic religions, but it would definitely explain a lot. If Enoch’s text truly originated from him, even if it were only formed into a book a few centuries BC, it would definitely provide a lot of meaningful insight into the debate as to which religion actually came first. I do want to add; I’m not entirely sure how accurate it would be to say that God spread those false gods across the world to rule over the various nations. The Book of Enoch seems to suggest that these fallen angels provided humans with magic, weapons, and instruction on violence and lavishness, as well as procreating to form the Nephilim, sometime before they were cast to out and imprisoned in Tartarus.

This is a cool type of content. Happy Nativity. "He has come upon earth, He Who in the beginning created us from earth and breathed His Divine breath into us; He has come Who “giveth to all life, and breath, and all things” (Acts xvii. 25.); He has come, He Who by a single word called all things visible and invisible from non-existence into existence, Who by a word called into being birds, fishes, quadrupeds, insects, and all creatures, existing under His almighty providence and care; He has come, He Whom the innumerable hosts of Angels continually and joy. And in what humility has He come! He is born of a poor Virgin, in a cave, wrapped in poor swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. Riches, honours, glory of this world! fall down, fall down in humility, tearful devotion, and deep gratitude before the Saviour of men, and share your riches with the poor and needy. Do not pride yourselves on your visionary, fleeting distinctions, for true distinction can only be found in virtue. Glory of this world! learn here, before the manger, your vanity. Thus, let us all humble ourselves; let us all fall down in the dust before the boundless humility and exhaustion of the Sovereign of all, of God, Who has come to heal our infirmities, to save us from pride, vanity, corruption, and every sinful impurity."

Nailed it Pastor! You have described fundamentalists to a "T". One group that I am familiar with is Independent Fundamental Baptists, from which the Lord brought me out. They are so difficult to talk to about almost ANY doctrine. I get being convinced of one's position, but in their circles it's their way or the highway. They are very black and white and NEVER see any nuance or tension in the Bible, because they have it all figured out. Great video!
