Your videos on Logos Libraries make me wish I could go back to school. Thank you for taking time to do these. I was searching for anything new on Logos last night & looked at what Dallas Theological Seminary offers their students in Logos. Amazing! Tomorrow can’t get here soon enough!
I like how the new libraries seem to be better focused. I like some of the choices they have made. But I would say that the Logos 10 version of the libraries are still better. It seems moving forward, the libraries will give us fewer overall resources, and more overall focus and structure. Still, which means we will still get a decent value for our money, but not quite as much as with the Logos 10 libraries. These new libraries seem to be more for the person who doesn't want to overload their library with resources they may not like or use. But what I personally loved about what the Logos 10 library gave me was the sheer volume of resources. It feels like maybe right now I won't use them all but perhaps one day down the line I will. I bought it with the intent that I'll make one purchase and never "NEED" to make another one and still have a lifetime of resources to explore.
Logos has really transformed Bible study, which is great. The switch to a subscription model caught me off guard, though. I just found the full feature set at half price and am thinking about getting it. Honestly, sometimes it feels like it might have been better to stick with the previous version
I already have almost all the resources talked about here, so my only interest would be Research Portfolio because it includes the entire AYB series. I already own the AYB commentaries (which I highly recommend) but I'm missing the AYB Reference Library which also has great resources but I can't justify buying on it's own (would cost me $1500) but being part of a base package and with dynamic pricing plus the 30% will probably be a excellent purchase. We'll see tomorrow when they announce the entire library.
@@IndianaJoe0321 my dynamic pricing for the Researcher Portfolio is arround $1500 but I don't think it's worth it for me. I ended up buying just the Researcher Gold to get the newest volumes of the Pillar and Apollos series. It costed me just $115 so it was a great deal. But overall I'm a bit disappointed with the higher tiers.
Maybe a sophomoric question. Just bought the researcher platinum. What’s the best way to peruse the library from a 20,000 foot view to really be able to see what’s in there?
I would open ‘library’ by dragging and dropping it into the working frame. On another monitor I usually have my library open from the web page on Logos Bible Software ‘researcher platinum.’ Then I would mess around with the filters on the library in the upper left corner the ‘hamburger’ menu. There you can filter your library by all sorts of categories. At that point you just peruse and open resources as prompted by filters or the web page.
Thanks for another very useful video about what is coming down the pipe. In the email I got from Logos about the library launch it seemed to infer I had to call them to get the the 30% off. Do you know if that is the case. I am on the other side of the world so I would want to avoid doing that.
I don’t use subscriptions and I already have a robust Diamond library with additional resources purchased as-hoc. I don’t know if there is a benefit to me to get the updated engine (L11)
Do you believe that we will have NICOT or NICNT on Gold Library for Logos? We can buy these books for as cheap as 9.99 usd for Kindle nowadays, Logos could give us this commentary set on the Gold library...
I don't have any insider information, but I believe those will never be part of a Gold set. In the past, they've only been included in Diamond sets and above, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I appreciate your encouragement and feedback, Katie. ❤️

Count me in on enjoying sheer volume as well!
Thank you for always keeping us updates on Logos. I appreciate you.
My pleasure, thanks for the encouragement. 👍

I'm in the same boat and curious about the Dynamic Pricing.

Been looking forward to this one! Thanks for posting!
Yes, my pleasure. 👍
👍🏻💯
Are you going to review the Standard 2025 library?

I am not sure! I didn’t think that was the case.

If you don’t see value in the additional search functionality or want to use the sermon assistant, then I’d pass
Thanks, good input.

I would keep an eye on them on the website and look for them to go in sale. Logos usually tries to mimic kindle sales when they can.
