    Man, Im a Brazillian and I've earned my tinnitus when i was Like 15 and Today i have 20, I got used to my tinnitus during those years, till 6 days ago, My Tinnitus just got worse for no reason, And im trying to get throught it Being the most calm possible, Because i thought that it wouldn't get worse, And im trying to figure out what causes that, But Seeing that im not alone in that fight is Somehow reliever to me, And i am a musician, whostarted mixing some years ago too ( Sorry for some English Mistakes )

      Hi 👍 I’m sorry your T got worse. The best thing to do is what you are already doing , which is stay calm. It gets better over time so try not to stress yourself too much. Try to keep doing things you love and keep busy. Give your ears a rest for a while by trying to reduce volumes you are exposed to. But most importantly stay calm. It will get easier . And no , you are not alone . stay strong 👍

      Hi. With me it happens over long periods of time, and by then I try to not focus on where my t was as opposed to where it is now. I think that’s really key. I think letting go of the baseline volume has helped me alot .

    I'm in my second week of a very depressing spike... I have 3 young daughters and it's because of them that I find the strength to carry on and get through this, however, on the flip side to this, they don't help much with their high pitched screams and screeches and god know what other disturbing noises kids make at their age. Why don't you contact some entities that are looking for a cure for tinnitus, and help them develop some kind of definitive cure or at least substantial relief? It is necessary to insist with the scientific community regarding this condition. Have you been playing live concerts? Do you often go to bars where live bands play? If so, how do you avoid further damaging your tinnitus? I love playing live and seeing bands live. It's something that's been part of my culture since I was born. It's really hard for me to continue doing it when I have tinnitus.

    I mean, they say it's not good to overprotect your ears, but cutting out things no one really wants to hear - jet engines, ads and solicitations on planes or other transports - makes plenty of sense to me ! ;-) Letting yourself be surrounded by everyday sounds yes, but let's face it : there's also a looot of noise for nothing. One question though : I wonder if someone wearing earplugs or ear defenders may not experience some pressure issues on a plane ? Is it ok to have your ears blocked with one or the other while the outside pressure is changing ?

    • @thetinnituschannel
      @thetinnituschannel 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi. When I have ear plugs in there is some change in pressure when the plane lands and takes off. Not so much with ear defenders. That’s why I wear them

    Hi there good video was wondering what type of earplug do you use? I have loops that are 17 dB and then with the extra mute, I can get a five more use.Or use Mack foams I believe they’re 33 dB. I’m not 100% sure on that.

    In any noisy situation I use noise cancelling AirPods, cuts the noise and I can feed in gentler sounds to break up the tinnitus. I’ve not tried them on an aeroplane yet. If I’m playing in the band I wear moulded silicone ear plugs 🙂.

  • @untold101
    @untold101 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    My T started two and a half years ago. I woke up in the middle of the night with my skull ringing like a bell, the sound resonating from just below my left ear. It came out of nowhere and has two levels. 1. Unbearable and 2. I now know what an exit bag is. I can't even leave the house. I have to wear one of those Bluetooth headbands that joggers wear 24/7. I have to listen to masking sounds between 10kh and 16kh. I haven't worked since the day it started and have spent every penny that I have saved since starting work in 1977. I've seen a dozen doctors, one that charged £400 an hour. The three hearing tests I've had in the last 18 months show no hearing loss. I've had every drug, steroid, nasal spray and tablet known to man. I've had about 10 scans. That sounds a lot but on a couple of occasions they've performed the wrong scan (don't ask.) I have constant severe headaches, (who else has had a cranial headache for every second for more than two years) ear fullness and clicking and popping. Pretty sure this problem is also causing Eustachian tube dysfunction. I take Loprazolam to sleep. A good night is 4 hours but two is the norm. What I have learnt from this torture is doctors know jack shit about T. They keep sending me down the ENT road but they are missing something. My T is a loud hissing, ringing sound and it spikes when I - Move my head, left, right, up, down. When I yawn When I chew When I talk When I touch my face Even when I walk. As my foot hits the floor it pings an even louder ping through my skull. In desperation I went to see an acupuncturist. It had no effect but as soon as I told him my symptoms and that I had no hearing loss he said he'd bet that ENT wasn't where they should be looking and that I've probably got a jaw TMJ issue or neck issue that could be causing the T. I saw a new GP, she said this was something worth investigating and hastily arranged an appointment with a Maxiofacial (I think that's right) specialist as she could see that I am completely on the edge of sanity from this torture. She knew what an exit bag is. In the weeks leading up to the appointment I read everything I could find about TMJ/neck issues and the connection with T. There was some literature posted by the NHS and some really reputable, detailed information from the library of the NIH in the USA detailing the connection between TMJ and T. I have lots of the possible symptoms for T from TMJ or neck issues. I told the Maxiofacial doctor my symptoms and straight of the bat, (despite my reading of PhD specialists) she declared that nobody had EVER suffered from tinnitus due to TMJ issues. They x-rayed my jaw, said it was fine and that was that. I'm currently living a life that is not a life. Tinnitus so brutal, that it is destroying my mind, my life and my soul. For me, there are no phases, acceptance or habituation. I only leave the house for a doctor or hospital appointment. Will this torture ever end? I can't find the courage to end it although I think about it constantly. Apologies for the long post. Love and silence to all.
