This looks really cool! Especially when you twist it. Very impressive to make it functional and aesthetically pleasing!
Thank you for watching!
i printed it but it didnt work for me ig i didnt get the sound same one
Sometimes the supports can get in the way, make sure they are carefully cleaned out of the slots in the whistle. Thanks for watching!
Bro put that on a drone or RC plane. Can you imagine, especially if the plane is fast
Stay tuned, I have an Air 2S that might do a death run!
@@Grimm3Dohhhh that would be so cool 😊
Please update on the operation of we also have one and info is nonexistent !
I'm working on putting together some videos and trials with the A48. Stay tuned!

How much
To buy one, you'll have to ask over at www.atoz3dprints.com She would be happy to make one for you. Thanks for watching!
What size is it
A little over 6 ft long. Thanks for watching!
Thank you just what I have been looking for keep up the great work.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
has it still held up?
Still going strong, still looks brand new every time I clean the leftover hairspray off (about every 30 prints). Thanks for watching!

Please, can you helpme. I lose the "Y-axis límiter" i dont know where to buy. My atomstack Is the A10 pro
Everything I have purchased for my laser has been directly from AtomStack's website. Thanks for watching!
What material can you apply this to? Could you print them laser?
So far, I've laser engraved cardboard, wood, clear glass, pencils, and ceramic plates. Thanks for watching!
Greetings..my daughter just purchased the same A48 kit you did. There is no voltage to the air pump from the 12v port. My question is does this port get voltage as soon as the machine is turned on or only during an engraving operation?
Yes, the air assist is controlled by the software/ machine while you're cutting. Thanks for watching!
bro really called Aztecs Indian
Thanks for watching!
The aztecs are an indigen culture evry cultzre that lived somewgere before the kolonisation came to tkae the land is an indigen culture
I scrubbed my smooth plate with Simple Green and hot water. I got the same results. 🤷🏻♂️ With Magigoo adhesion was terrible. AquaNet is infamous though as a go-to release agent. I'd be curious how hard it is to remove the buildup if you need to.
Super easy to remove, which I only do once every few months. Water or IPA and a little time your plate will be as good as new. Trust me, once you try AquaNet Super Extra Hold you will never use anything else and you'll never want to print without it. Those who say anything other than that, have not tried it. P.S. it is also extra sticky when it is hot (even older applications get sticky with heat), therefore it works well for first layer adhesion, too. You'll never have adhesion problems again. If you can try the purple can, you won't look back. And it's cheap
I originally subbed for the Wanhao D9 modifications. I have now received my rails and need to print the parts to mod my D9 400. Did you ever finish the D9 ods or did you give up? Watching the Laser content as we also havw a 10W laser and i am interested in how the A48 cuts and what software you are going to use.
I have done all the modifications to the D-9 except have not completed the Z rail on the motor (home) side of the machine. That part of the D-9 is still the original roller guides. I have been wanting to finish it up myself. However, it prints very well with the updates I've made. The laser is new to me. I have been running some tests on random cardboard pieces to Learn LightBurn.
I need one of these!
It seems very well designed. Stay tuned for assembly and first use. Thanks for watching!
How do you determine where the "home" position is for the extruder?
I'm not sure what you mean. The printer you have should specifically have its home position. Then, you just tell PrusaSlicer where that is.
Wow cool! i have 5 of them the exact same size but purple (Im not bragging btw dont even dare try to start that)
Yes, this is a great print. Kids love them. Thanks for watching!
this is so cool . Thank you for the video
It turned out great and was very affordable. If you need anything printed in Stainless, JLCPCB is a great option.
Thanks for watching!!
Can you give me the 3D file?
It's in the description
i also made this but i cant get my shark's mouth to open :(
Where are the plans for this print?!
The STL is in the description
I printed this but accidentally left the supports on 😔
you'll need supports, but to buildplate only, none inside.
@@Grimm3D That's the problem they're inside I can't get it out
@ThesupremeEDGElord keep trying, it's hard but usually can be done. Or, print a new one with supports to bed only.
Model?
The STL is in the description
And in the comments as well
how do i print this?
Print it in the orientation of the file, regular supports.
Working on printing one now any tips?
Be patient. Hope your printer is tuned and is able to do a successful filament run-out and change.
Did you use touching base supports or just raw dawg it?
Just used regular grid supports. It has to print in the orientation of the file or the whistles inner chamber won't work right.
do you need support for this?
Yes, I just used regular supports in the orientation the file comes in
Hello! We just received our KC1 yesterday and did an octopus. Its a little smaller than this one. I had to sit here with the scissors it came with, and hand cut all of the pieces apart. Do you know how I would fix that issue?
Spend some time tuning your machine. Make sure the extrusion multiplier is correct and the steps make a properly dimensioned test cube. Also, you may want to try a tolerance test. Most printers should be able to print this, Maybe yours just needs some tuning.
Glue stick is used to prevent certain filaments from sticky too much, like petg on bare glass.
Tried that. Auquanet super extra hold works better. Like 10 times better.
So many years later..... LOL but I have my D9 400 printing pretty good right now. Those layer lines, I do not believe that they'll ever be perfect. These Wanhao printers are just not great when it comes to accuracy. Here's what I've done to give me really good prints.... come cheating involved, but whatever works. LOL - removed the heat break fan and made a heat break duct. It sits behind the extruder. It looks like a boot in that the foot/toe part sits on top of the aluminum heat break piece and just under the extruder motor. The boot part, goes up to just above the connector. On top of that sits a high flow, mini server fan, connected to a Buck Converter with a potentiometer to adjust the speed/force (noise) of the fan. For the duct, on the inside, I put filets to allow the air to flow smoothly and not over sharp corners. THIS WORKS WELL now. The biggest problem that I had with this printer was heat creep. The stock fan was useless. I couldn't print hotter than about 195C, which gave me really bad and weak prints. - I had to completely re-align the entire printer's moving parts, including the bed. I used digital calipers to make sure everything was straight and true, because from the factory, the bed was off center. - I changed all rollers to higher quality rollers. The ones from factory are junk. They wobble and bind. I was able to prove this by putting a nut/bold through each one and putting that on a drill. On spin up, some would wobble a lot! The new ones have zero wobble and no binding. - I changed the stock bed with a pure, smooth, flat, clear glass bed. The stock bed got scratched by the stupid extruder digging into it. That happened on the first week I had this thing! I like the glass because the 1st layer now creates a very smooth and shiny face. Great of my gadgets. Now the biggy. LOL I print PLA at 235C !!! The bed at 75C. Yup, just over its supposed glass transition temperature. I also print fast now! I can get good prints at 100 mms to 120 mms. With that speed and temperatures, the layers "blend" much better now, which creates less roughness as we see here. Still some, yes. But less. It seems that with the filament being laid down fast and hot, getting thick fast, doesn't seem to be a problem with the 75C bed temperature. Just recently, I experimented with Cura 5.5's "Fuzzy" option. With the numbers I'm using, I get the most gorgeous look to the parts now. They come out with a nice textured look and of course, that hides the layer issues. LOL I was about to buy a Creality K1 MAX, but now that I have this working so well and the fact that I sometimes print over 320mm, I decided against it. LOL Anyway, hope that helps others who got stuck with this monster. LOL
Well, you've seen all that I've done. Most of my monster is not even Wanhao anymore. I'm pretty happy with the result I get. I still have one linear rail to install on the motor side of the Z. Maybe I'll get around to it soon. I'm usually printing with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layers, so the layer lines are right where they should be. . . For me, anyway.
Thank you for this video. I have the same issue right now. Been banging my head on the wall trying to figure it out. Ordered new sensor and padded walls.
Glad it helped
I want one SO BAD 😭😭😭😭😭😭
A large format printer, or a giant 3D printed dragon?
Amazing times we live in. Imagine what it would have taken to have this produced 20 years ago. Just curious, what would JLPCB charge to produce this item in SS?
I did have about 5 made. One in stainless, the other 4 just to test their other printing technologies. The entire package was to my door for just over $150. I think the stainless one was half that, if I remember right.
@@Grimm3D Absolutely incredible. 👍
@@Grimm3D First what was the other 4 materials and do you know if jlpcb do work in bronze?
I don't think they do Bronze, check out the video for the other materials and my results.
Is that the gulfcoast robotics z brace kit?
To tell you the truth, I don't remember. But 2 things I wish I had done with this Z-brace. First, I wish it was in the back. Yes, I put lights on it, but it kinda gets in the way. second, I think I could have fabricated my own Z-Brace and saved some money.
@@Grimm3D thanks for your reply! I've personally been trying to obtain this part, so that's why I asked. However, they do not sell it anymore and I can't find it used anywhere
Look through Thingiverse, there are designs there to make your own with some prints and some hardware parts
not to be personal but fine a personality! too dry!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Where do i start the print?????
Bottom right-hand corner. Export to SD, take to printer
Great idea... I found your project son interesting. How do you fix the squares on the wall? glue-tape..etc? From today you have a new sub. well deserved.
We custom cut some Command Strips. Been working well so far
What printer are you using?
I have 4 printers. The newest is a Prusa Mk4, then a Mk3S+, and a Wanhao D9-500 and the very first printer I purchased was a Wanhao i3 Plus. These time lapses could be from either the Mk3S+ or the i3 Plus. Check out my channel if you want to see all my printers in action

what board did you use to fix the D9? i just watched your upgrade series and last i saw the daughterboard got shorted and the mainboard died... i picked up a D9 400 for $70 a month or two ago and i am trying to figure out what to do to get it working properly.
I replaced with an original main board because I didn't want to do much more rewiring and reprogramming. I also had to buy a new breakout board. All Wanhao. It was enough work that I didn't get a chance to record most of it.
i know this is a couple of years old now but i recently got a D9 400 really cheap. how much do you estimate all the mods has cost? all the linear rails and the hot bed?
Mods have been pricey, but mostly because of where I wanted the printer to end up. I originally purchased the D9 because the frame seemed really strong. I knew it would need heavy mods to make it work well. Plus, a few of the mods are custom (the high power bed heater, and the flexible build plate, foe example) those were pricey as well. But those expenses would be totally different for a 400mm
Wow. I am behind in times. This is cool!
Yes, schools are working with this from 3rd and 4th grade all the way through high school. Thanks for watching!
