Bikes are rad and I'm sharing my love for them with the best possible footage I can make
Ourimbah is now INCREDIBLE!
Ourimbah has always been a great trail centre, but over the last few years it has seen a significant increase in investment and new work. The latest builds include a full refresh of the gravity trails, a completely rebuilt jump park, an all new skills park, and even a dual slalom track.
@DMMTB and I headed up to check it all out, and while we were expecting a day of hero dirt after some recent rain, it didn't actually work out that way.

Mill Creek has a new trail with a grand opening on Sunday 11th of August. I visited the trail back in June to film some of the progress and then again to test it out before the final tweaks were made. It's only short but it's a lot of fun and it's very easy to lap!

@@MTBMcPhee They build all this as soon as I leave lol
That drop is fun.
I feel like DJI and Yeti should do partnership
Will be interesting to see if that DJI motor pops up in mainstream frames
love how they let us still ride when wet
Mad send ❤
A pity it was wet but like you said at the end we can go back. 1 thing I want to tick off is the new drop at the end of of switches.
First time was scary but you would have that easy 💪
should have had some dmmtb follow cam action would have made the video better as who doesn't want some dm mtb extra content

Is it worth it to go without shuttles or nah
not really massive climb, you can self shuttle though
hey man ive got another year out of my bike or so and I'm wondering what suspension setup your running travel wise?
Standard fork with long stroked shock, 157mm rear or around that. It was good with 170 fork as well.

Did the shimano drive unit rattle over chunk when not pedalling?
@@lemonadejars I didn’t notice the rattle in this updated drive unit. The one I had in my Sight definitely used to rattle
Yeah it’s interesting as I’m on my second ep801 on my yeti and I don’t recall the first one rattling as much as the replacement but oh well, it’s unavoidable due to their clutch design
One of my favourite trails

Great vid mate and interesting thoughts on the Yeti. Definitely keen for more of this type of vid, gave a 3rd thumbs up to be safe 😊

Great video Craig. Can’t wait till you buy an Ebike to do bulk laps at Keira and Kembla 😊
I feel like I can change your mind on a full fat emtb sub 25kg 😅 You've seen my bike at Mill. I'm happy for you to take it and chuck all your numbers in the zeb and vivid and send what ever trail you like. Would be a sick part 3 to your emtb vids 🤙

Shimano motor 🤮 otherwise sweet bike
@@barrakingbeatz7794 my thoughts too hah!
Those cannondale moterra sl's look like hot stuff ! I've only ridden a pivot shuttle and specialized turbo levo. The levo definitely felt way better and more connected to the trail compared to the pivot.
@@Roofusone_ yeah they look great but I feel like I’m squarely between sizes
Did you have a chance to test kenevo sl? Im super tempted but I'm between S4/5 being 6'2. If only it was sized like S5 levo sl with 500 reach.
@@australopitak no I haven’t, and I feel like I’d be between sizes with the low stack on them too.
Btw where is this track looks sick!
Another great video. I had a hard tail for years, but back into MTB and got myself an ebike and love it, as you said you get to enjoy the rides more, you get up the hills a lot quicker to enjoy the downhill stuff.
my first dually was a yeti
Hey mate planning to visit NZ. Any tips/suggestions? Did you just do Queenstown Skyline? 5 days enough you think? Did you visit any other places? Cheers
5 days riding is plenty, even with that you'll probably want some shorter days. I recommend doing a day of shuttles up at Coronet Peak - riding the lift there is OK as well but there are only 3 trails. Cardrona is also worth a look, plus there is plenty of stuff in town like Wynyard jump park.
@@MTBMcPhee thank you! Will look into it
Hey man would you say the tallboy is a quiet bike? No rattles/clunks descending etc?
@@didzy9349 the SC bikes are okay but they aren’t super quiet. It’s mostly chainslap from what I can tell
Like watching it in x1.5 fast forward compared to my speed. 😂
@@nelsonshaw4596 the camera is doing a lot of the work here 😅
I raced on the Sunday and the trails were so dry and dusty. How do you go so fast without fear of washing out on all that loose top surface?? I washed out at least twice.
Stromlo is funny like that, if you can't hear your tyres sliding you probably aren't going fast enough. You get used to it, and having my bike set up well so that I can ride it with confidence also plays a big part.
Great vid Craig! Really like the flow, the bits of narration and the sound that shows how much those trails make you work!
@@ShredwithAdam thanks man 🙏
Out of curiosity, what happened to your Rocky Mountain Altitude?
@@sebastianwirth9895 sold it when my LBS started stocking Santa Cruz
I think 120mm was the perfect choice from a strategy perspective. First 3 runs are too short to really make a difference in time. The race was won / loss on the longest stage where fitness was more important than skill. The Tallboy would have made up a lot of time compared to a bigger bike through Slick Rock and Double D
@@danh9168 that was my thinking and it seemed to work out 👍
Short travel bikes are beast down the back of stromlo in my honest opinion ✌✌
@@YutaLeffers definitely on the flow 💪💪
Hauling mate - congrats on yet another podium!
Nice work on that last stage. Super long stage when you link it all together.
Thanks, I was hanging off the bike in Double Dissolution but it worked out
