I thought the first fabric you showed was a squishy double gauze, was surprised to hear it was a jersey. It looks gorgeous as do a lot of your fabrics! I’ve also got Persephone pants on my to do list. I I’ve worn my first pair out, they’re so comfortable. I look forward to seeing how you place the stripes on your next blanca, that fabric looks very cool! It’s interesting how mixed peoples experiences are from rainbow fabrics. I’ve never had an issue, guess I’m lucky on that one 🤷‍♀️ hope you get some quality sewing time to make all the lovely things 🩷😍

Thanks for reminding me about Amothreads, I had forgotten all about them ! I regularly purchase from Rainbow Fabrics and to date have always been pleased with their fabrics. I too am waiting for my order to arrive, their sale was amazing and so they seem to be a victim of their own success. In the meantime, I shall be perusing Amothreads......🤩 Looking forward to seeing your makes.

Hi, I have the same problem with my Rainbow Fabrics order, all I can hope is that it is dispatched soon. Thanks for your Amothreads recommendation; I've just placed an order with them. Also, it's really good to hear someone else acknowledge that some fabrics are very expensive and bought as a treat; it's not always apparent that dressmaking can be so expensive

I’m surprised I hadn’t come across Amothreads so really pleased to see and get a review or a good fabric supplier as I live a long long way from any garment fabric shops so have to do it all online. I ordered from rainbow fabric on 21st December and got sent on 3rd January that got delivered around end of second week of January, my second order on 31st December is still no update and they didn’t respond to WhatsApp even though thats a contact option. So to here they are still dealing with orders from when I did first order is surprising. I’m concerned I will now get an email saying don’t have stock of some of the items I ordered especially the leopard print denim as I think that was very popular. I look forward to seeing your makes and I really enjoyed your vlog thank you for sharing.

My issue with Rainbow Fabrics has been items shown as in stock when I placed and paid for the order but out of stock when they, much later, pick the order. It wouldn't be so bad if they notified you in time to cancel. Invariably, the out of stock item has been the one item I really wanted but I'm then stuck with just the extra items I added to get the free shipping. It's happened twice now and so I've stopped ordering from them. Thanks for the heads up on amo. They look a great alternative.

You’ve got some super bargains there…Woo how…I’m hoping to make it to Walthamstow this time…. Continuous zips are a breeze once you’ve practised…. Deb from @memademakes has a great tutorial….

Amo threads have been on my radar for awhile but as yet have never ordered for them, but happy to try them. My order with Rainbow Fabrics was placed on Dec 30th and like you still waiting! I only wanted the leopard print but added a couple of other items and I bet the leopard print is the one they won’t have when they come to pick my order! 😡

I agree about Amothreads, their cotton lawn is gorgeous and they have such a good range, I love ordering from them. Rainbow Fabrics, I'm always happy with but do know in advance that I have to wait longer, I think I've just received an email to say they're doing their best with my latest parcel, as the prices were amazing. I got a huge bonus with my previous fabric, a massive 2 metres of beautiful denim, so they are on my nice list 😆

Hi I have just had an email to say my order has been dispatched. Ordered on 24th December I took had stopped using them but was lured in by the sale don't think I will be again this delivery time ridiculous almost a month to the day 😔 on a more positive note . love your videos

I have the same problem with my order from 31 Dec from Rainbow Fabrics. I got the same response as you about orders from 22 Dec. It's only the 2nd time I've ordered from them but I think it will be the last

Lovely haul I enjoyed listening to you talk about your ideas for the different fabrics. Shame you haven’t had good luck with Rainbow Fabrics I’ve ordered from them a few times and delivery’s always been quick but I was sometimes disappointed in the fabrics - colour different on screen than in real life, fabric thinner than expected etc.. (not necessarily their fault though to be fair) Very curious to have a look at Amo Threads now!

Hi Tania, those fabrics look really unteresting. The striped denim is going to look so good in a blanca. The cuddly sherpa will be perfect for your collaboration too. I dont find rainbow fabrics website that good and so I've not been tempted to buy from them. Have a great week sewing.

I’d not heard of Ammo fabrics - they sound like a good company, will be checking them out first sure. Like you I’m still waiting for my Rainbow Fabrics sale order also from 31st Dec, I’ll think twice before ordering from them again. Happy sewing x

I think this horrible cough and cold is going around as we've all had it too. Your flight suit looks great! It's a pattern i'd like to try out later this year sometime. I'm really interested in making the Rosak sweater though, I love your version with the stripes down the side, it looks great! ❤ xx

Hi Tanya! I’m glad you are feeling a little better. The jumpsuit is very cute, but I absolutely LOVE the sweatshirt in navy. I sewed 2 t- shirts this week. A goal for 2025 is to learn to sew t-shirts. I am in the process of planning for 2025.

Great vlog as always glad you are on the mend. I love your sweatshirt and it’s far nicer pattern than the Drew by TB that’s such an 80s pattern style that needs to stay in the 80s I would say. Also there is a button you can choose for translation on you tube I think it’s at the top when you choose the video.❤❤

The joy on your face when you talked about how much you enjoyed making the Blanca was infectious. I smiled along with you as you talked about it. The pink and white striped denim is going to be so amazing! Your daughter's dress look SO cozy and I hope it goes over well with her. I think we've all had to dig clothes out of the hamper for that reason, and cross our fingers that they don't smell too bad. It's just not worth the argument... Your insights were so interesting. I tried to have a dedicated album in my phone for my 2024 makes but it turns out I'm terrible at taking pictures of my makes, so I think I'm going to try just writing them down like you did.
