I wieś Krutyń na Mazurach w lato i koniecznie na kajak.. :) Warszawę polecam choć w Warszawie od groma tablic upamiętniających mordy niemcow na Polakach, bo podczas wojny za jednego zabitego Niemca rostrzeliwano 200 przypadkowych mieszkańców Warszawy... Więc jak Pan trafi na patriote to rozmowy mogą być trudne... Ale prawdę historyczna trzeba czcić... Myślę że jest Pan dobrym człowiekiem, i chciałbym żeby Pan w Polsce czuł się dobrze... For me the relation between Poland and Germany is an excellent example of how ultimate enemies can start to live together in freedom in the age of the "global village". I was this year in Armenia and Azerbaijan. They can't stop fighting. I just said to one of the Azers - look at us - in the world wars milions of Poles and Germans killed each other, but this is over, we don't want each other's territory anymore, we just want to trade, build the economical success together - yes, within the EU concept. However I think EU should be much stronger to be a respected player on the World arena - I think there is no reason for EU not to be as strong as US... Except for bureaucracy and low speed decision processes (much too slow). As for the movie - the battle of Vienna was an important episode of the history of Europe as a whole - Turks were taking all the lands on their road and they headed on Europe. Another two periods when Poland "saved" the Europe was stopping the invasion of Mongols (Battle of Legnica - lost by Poland, but Mongols stopped invasion), and the "Miracle on Vistula" - which stopped blosheviks from spreading communism in Europe (1920).

That's why when Poland capitulated some cities still were fighting, because Germans destroyed most of the post offices (or at least the most important ones, like the one in Gdańsk).
