Van Suddenly BREAKS DOWN: Awful Nights Sleep In The Woods
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
On my way back from Wales, my van broke down and went into limp mode. I had to drive it all the way back home in 3rd gear at 30 miles per hour. It was a long and slow journey, but I eventually made it back. When I got back, I took my van to the mechanic, who needed to keep it overnight. I didn't have anywhere to sleep, so I decided to sleep in my new bivvy tent in the woods. How did the night g...

van life Is great for the introverts
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
I've always been an introvert for as long as I can remember. I never craved a large social circle or the spotlight. Instead, I found my energy from being alone, spending time in nature, and reflecting on my thoughts. These activities allow me to recharge my batteries and reconnect with myself. I've learned that I don't need to be constantly busy to be happy. I often feel my best when I have som...

It was a crazy time in the world, let us never forget

Hey there! 👋🏻 Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy some of them
I have no idea how your Channel has came on my algorithm, I live next to the Forth & Clyde CANAL at Glasgow SCOTLAND in a VAN ! Fate??? I’m here for you mate
It must be because you have good taste in videos ✌🏻 might see you on the road one day
@ would’ve thought itd have been shown up before BUT better late than never eh🫡
Bro, I’m up north of Glasgow, in my Transit Connect (Micro Living lol) it’s a struggle but I’d never change this ? Experience for anything. Much luv N respect 🏁🏴
You need to be a tad more inspirational...living in a van is the loser's way
Any suggestions?
Not to be all doom and gloom bud, but what happens is your friend gets a parter or wants to move on, just be careful big chap
He has a partner, I live with them 😂
I lived in a seat ibiza for 6 months. Didn't have a choice until i got sent down. You do what you have to do. I'd given up everthing to my ex. I wouldn't record it all and show everyone though. Get on with it. There is plenty of leople just in a tent. Be humble and get on with it. Why does everyone put their life on show?
Come to ireland mate🇮🇪 i will show you the most beautiful landscapes you ever seen. Your welcome to visit.
Sounds like a great offer ✌🏻
Boring video, thanks
You're welcome 🤗
Commented on a previous Kangol one Best I can say is the freedom of it is the thing, stop when and where you want when on the road etc. if you engage enough in life, life will find you and things change. It’ll never get the van part to go, just supplement it a bit Take care, good luck and stay well
Did 2.5 years in a van. Bigger than yours though. Trafic short wheel base Difference is I left the U.K. and spent the time around Europe First th8ng you learn if more or less potless is not to move till you need to, every time you start the engine it costs Good thing is there is a lot of Europe where it isn’t much of an issue. Next thing you learn is to find places you can park next to little villages and walk in for supplies, people, a beer etc After all that, eventually ended up with a little place in sw france and a van on the drive I’m still ok to be in. Funny old world, would never be here if not for the van life … I bought the house 18 yrs back now so it’s home, bought a replacement van about 10 ago and kitted that out … still my go to especially if working away. Take care mate, there’s a road out there, a lot of life around it, have courage and go do something
You mentioned working remotely with just a laptop.... what was your job

People who are struggling in life can learn from survivors stories . Theres always another way , always a way through the darkness ! Never give up ! ❤
My lord it must of been hard for u lad, but never mind what folk think on this, u are a top bloke, and I admire u, ye brave old warrior, bless u, ♥️👍
Thanks mate 🙏🏻💪🏻
If you live in your van, what do you do about V5, insurance and license?
Friends or family can always help out
This channel is class, I've always wanted to do this, fair play mate
Cheers Tommy 💪🏻
What do you do if the van needs work done or fails mot ?
Just stay and friends or families
Believe me I know you will be a better person you could be worse of most are, I used to climb in the back of my astra van, fully boarded carpeted, and a mattress and sleeping bag, makes you appreciate everything believe you me,also nice people still exist 🙏 take care.
Had the same experience for 2 weeks, tough going, very similar story,
Respect all the best
i used to go to cemetarys and grave yards to wash and sleep ordered a few macdonalds and pizzas to be delivered there, just had to watch out for the flashing lights at night doggers
i went through the same thing in a car but had 2 dogs 7 months dont remember having 1 bad day,now in in a bungalow loads more to worry about, best thing i ever done was getting rid of that bint
Fair play to you mate,at least you got a sensible everyday vehicle ,that doubles up as an adventure vehicle plus you know should you ever need to move back into a van that you can manage living in there.
@@michaelwhitham4501 that's the plan my man ❤️💪🏻
Why don't you make temporary heating when the weather is cold?
In hindsight a water bottle would have been a good idea 😂
Good video. Well done to you.
Magic. Aye, once you've lived away from traditional house. You never look back. Been living in everything from coaches too tents. For 38yrs. Never looked back. After escaping. Really enjoyed the film. Took me back. Awrabest
You're a true adventurer ✌🏻
@Nomadickangoo aye, one life my friend. Don't drive on the roads anymore, at 64 got fed up was tax, insurance, and Mots. But still explore, now in a wee boat and bike. Simple. Meeting so many people that have ditched the ratrace. Awrabest

what was the remote job you were doing from your laptop?
@Jmorrison-x I'm a designer, so can do that remotely
Mad weirdo, Going to look at his old flat pure boring ba@%ered nae wonder she left u
How does it work with working? Like will employers take you on with no fixed address? I can see it being the future for a lot of young single people in Britain who don’t want all their wages sapped by rent or mortgages. Peace ✌️.
I just always used my family's addresses, no one really comes and checks if you are there or not
Hi,For your Winter warm Van,get Waterproof Camper Cover you Van.You can see results????Good Luck.Keep Warm!!
If I had the money I would choose to live in van, however it would need to be a much bigger van with a to-notch wood stove/ wood-cooker a proper camper van is what I mean, oh and it would need to be properly insulated… you sir are living the dream of many of us single dudes😊
I stumbled across your videos, and am glad I did. I can completely understand and relate to your situation. Keep strong.
Welcome to the channel 💪🏻✌🏻 I hope your situation isn't too bad for you ❤️

I went through a break up which left me with debt and nowhere to live....but I just worked 50hrs a week and have done for 10 years to have my own place and pay for my kids.
I salute you 🙏🏻
Your girl did not deserve you mate, what you have done and are doing is incredible,
How do you collect post
Most things can be paperless now. I'm technically still registered at families so anything important goes there

Also if you're smart you can sleep in a hatchback. I removed the rear seats from my two door Astra, slide the front seats all the way forward (use shopping baskets behind front seats with a futon on top and you can fit a 6'1 guy at an angle very very comfortably 😂👌
You sound like you have a lot of experience! ✌🏻💪🏼
Don't let the dream die lad. My mini camper got stolen the day before I finished it and that killed me dream for years, now I get severe attacks while driving so until that's sorted I've got years more before I'll ever even attempt it. So I'm just gonna live through you until then!
