Hi mate, I’m a self employed carpenter who has a Peugeot Partner van. I use it for work for 8 months a year and live in it for may, june, July and September when I go fishing all over the UK and France and Spain. There is a steel bulkhead in it for work and remove it to live in.I use a carp fishing bed which fits in the passenger side of the van with the seat folded forward. The bed folds up during travelling or daytime. The racking system for my tools doubles up for fishing gear and cooking stuff. A 12v Coleman cool box is perfect for cold stuff. You don’t need a big van, your Kangoo is fine with a bit of thought and organisation. Live your life mate, live your best life. Good luck

Can't beat a small van. Can sleep in it if you need to. Great to use for work. Parking, multistorys, drive thrus etc are never an issue. Picking up a washing machine, a sofa, a bed, its all just about manageable. The problem is that when you've got a van.... You are likely to always have a van. Not having a side door is not an issue. Glad you're in another Kangoo though. Feels right. You should definitely always have emotional connections to vehicles though. It's a huge part of life for most people. I can't stand owning vehicles that don't fill me with joy.
Hey mate glad you are in a house, think its gonna be far more healthy for you long term. Then the freedom you want when you want, full circle kangoo to kangoo great stuff
the main issue with living in a house is the mortgage and the rent prices. plus the negative side of being in one place and have regular daily routine. when you work full time you have limited time for adventures. you also most of the time around concrete boxes. that's the positive side in van life, you have a home that you own and actually can modify and do something but in a house you pay lots of money for permissions make the changes.
Not having a sliding door means you could potentially put the bed on the passenger side and can jump in the front without having to fold the bed away if you need to drive off quickly
You done yourself a favour Alex when you called about the estate car. Is it big enough for someone to sleep in? you asked. I wonder what went through her mind when you said that? Good choice getting a better Kangoo, less mileage and less to worry about with no sliding door that might leak or rust around the edges. One tip, if you have not already done so, get the belts checked for wear or ageing and if it needs an oil change. Cars that stand for long periods are more of a concern with those items, than one that is used daily.
I reside in a 2006 Citroen Berlingo 19 Diesel none turbo van, I'm 5 11 tall, I'm 60 and still work 5 days a week and I'll never return to bricks and mortar, I'm sorry you can keep that. I have had the bigger van but much prefer my small van that still looks like a works van no solar on the roof nothing and Monday to Friday I stay on the industrial estate where I work the weekend I stay in a caravan park where I can shower and wash my clothes,, anyway all the best my friend
Berlingo mpv, seats come out or all fold down 1.6hdi good on fuel twin sliding doors lift up boot for when its raining ;) is a car on insurance , but hey ho you got what you wanted so that's great , so what's the next adventure ?

You done yourself a favour Alex when you called about the estate car. Is it big enough for someone to sleep in? you asked. I wonder what went through her mind when you said that? Good choice getting a better Kangoo, less mileage and less to worry about with no sliding door that might leak or rust around the edges. One tip, if you have not already done so, get the belts checked for wear or ageing and if it needs an oil change. Cars that stand for long periods are more of a concern with those items, than one that is used daily.
It's all booked into a garage to get the once over and a little service 😇
I reside in a 2006 Citroen Berlingo 19 Diesel none turbo van, I'm 5 11 tall, I'm 60 and still work 5 days a week and I'll never return to bricks and mortar, I'm sorry you can keep that.
I have had the bigger van but much prefer my small van that still looks like a works van no solar on the roof nothing and Monday to Friday I stay on the industrial estate where I work the weekend I stay in a caravan park where I can shower and wash my clothes,, anyway all the best my friend
@@PaulMurphy-f9q 100% with you small vans just feel more cosy as well. Stay strong 💪🏻
@@Nomadickangoo Cheers my friend all the best
maybe get a small van again just at weekends or when u can 😂
You called it 👏
Berlingo mpv, seats come out or all fold down 1.6hdi good on fuel twin sliding doors lift up boot for when its raining ;) is a car on insurance , but hey ho you got what you wanted so that's great , so what's the next adventure ?
Im sure a Berlingo is also an amazing camping car, but Kangoo was calling me 🤣I think quick little conversion and up to the mountains somewhere I reckon
Renaults don't rust👍
I fully expected rust, had it checked out and it was rust free! 🙏
Im about to move into my small van similar size to your kangoo... Mines a bipper ... Similar circumstances rent being to high and my relationship falling apart
Ive prepared well van wise
Any advice?
Enjoy it, it doesn't last forever
Not to be all doom and gloom bud, but what happens is your friend gets a parter or wants to move on, just be careful big chap
He has a partner, I live with them 😂
Fantastic to see you back. ❤❤❤

Kangoo Can Go
You can do, when you Kan-goo!
Full wheel steering lock needed blood. Security first.
Mate, you’re an incredible storyteller! Editing is quality too 👌🏻
Dude, honestly, that means a lot. The amount of work a video takes when you are the only camera guy, director, editor, and story writer. It's nice to see when people appreciate it 👌🏻
Aww made up for you, back in a Kangoo 😊
❤️
Nice to see youve opted to get another Kangoo, can I ask tho do you have to pay ulez in that compared to your old van that looked ulez exempt? I live within an emission zone control so can only get 2016 year onwards diesel.
Unfortunately it's not ulez compliant, but I now avoid London as much as possible
Cool but have you trained for your next ultramarathon?
@@CraigPitts ultra ready all year round, son. Try keep up this time.
What goes around comes around! No need to change your channel name either LoL!
That is so true! Maybe 'not so nomadic kangoo' but doesn't have the same ring to it 🤣
Get a Chrysler Voyager stow and go
No Kan-goo i'm afraid
@@Nomadickangoomuch better mpg from a kangoo!
wow what was the chances had to be a sign 😂
When I saw it on auto trader, I just knew!
Checkout someone called Houseless marty who has lived van life for a very long time now lives in Portugal 🇵🇹 in a camper.
Thanks for the recommendation 💪🏻
I Transform a 2014 Citroën Aircross [Picasso] into a Camper where I live, & I have a Trailer where I put my Bathroom, my office & my Motorbike.
Everything Stealth. I'm doing this in Brazil.
In April I'll be in Italy & I have a similar project like yours
Wow, you are living the life my man 🙏🏻💪🏼

Yes but surely now in a home you have loads of bills
Some bills yes, but it's only money at the end of the day, I never did van life to save money. I was looking for a place I belonged, which I think I've found
