Hello everyone! First of all I just want to offer a massive heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and sent me such supportive messages… it has touched me beyond belief and really given me my drive back to succeed! I'm also deeply touched by the generosity of those who have offered donations. Your willingness to help a stranger in need has truly humbled me. However, I must humbly decline any further donations. My initial goal was to raise enough for a full tank of diesel to keep me going, and your kindness has surpassed that expectation beyond anything I could have expected. My tank is now full, and I am so, beyond, incredibly grateful for your support. It is ultimately my fault I am in this situation, and I should have saved money in my savings to be better prepared for this sort of knock, rather than thinking this would never happen to me. Any extra money you have so kindly shared will go to one side and will be invested back in the channel and any other way I can think of to give back to this awesome community. Thank you so much NK
Never refuse generosity....it's what God Almighty wants you to have. He saw how brave you were coming forward with your troubles...which is Not easy to do...so when you make that first step God helps pave your way by placing it in your viewers heart's to help because he knows you have a kind and pure Soul. Everyone working for the Greater Good of other's....❤🙏
Mate, that's just so kind of you, its unbelievable that you and so many others are willing to help someone they don't know! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hey, hang on in there, you’ll be ok. I’m 57, I was converting my van that I was going to use for the odd weekend away, then I worked out how much rent I’d paid over the last few years and was horrified so I decided to move into my van, next April when my tenancy ends. I thought I’d live in my van and save a couple of years to buy somewhere in Spain or maybe a canal boat. Then, a month ago my job came to an end after 6 1/2 years and like you it’s a bit unfair and I’m a bit stuffed. But, after the anger of what’s happened calm’s down you realise there’s a big open road and you have choice ! Great video !
Don't let it get you down brother, your stronger than you know. As a quote I once heard goes, " The strength of my soul was born on the backs of moments that brought me to my knees " Have a great Christmas and I wish you all the best for the future, I believe in you.
@@Nomadickangoo Sadly I can't remember where I heard it but it's always stuck with me. Stay positive mate, it will be alright in the end and stay true to yourself. Good luck.
Just found your channel from the video you posted after this one so I came back for a look. I didn't realise how much a like or a comment helped smaller channels. Good luck friend, you seem like a great guy and I'm sure you'll be fine, and there's no need to reply 🫡.
I’m watching this now with a possibility I may lose my job through a false allegation from a colleague. I have my van, and if I do lose my job- I’ll lose my house too. The comment about toxic relationship and work resonates, and I feel good knowing I have family that may help, and then go from there. I’m glad you’re doing well ma man
Mate, you are a class act,the world is cruel to good people. Like yourself ive been there,im 50 now, things happen for a reason, good and bad. All I will say is never give up pal!
I only started paying attention halfway in but I had to comment bc your humble vibe touched me while scrolling. If you show up to work your employer will be lucky to have you. You're clearly a bright guy with a great attitude. Good luck, brother! You got this!

Hi, I’ve been watching u for ages, yr such a lovely young bloke. I’m sorry u lost yr job. I’ve decided to put yr videos on in the background for a few days and hopefully that will help you earn a few more pennies. X

i am a woman and i have been bullied by women, it is absolutely awful, but i have learned more about narcissism and how to deal with them, it is very hard in the workplace as you cannot get away
This came as a shock Alex but companies these days want everything and give nothing. Job descriptions used to mean something a while back but many driving jobs for example want you to drive full time, work in the warehouse when needed and take calls and orders in the office. Anything they want really and it's like it or lump it. Check out the good advice for you, that I've seen in the comments and I am wishing you good luck and a brighter future, if that's possible in these dark times.
You’re a top genuine bloke. Anyone who is looking to hire should take a look at your channel. Tells them everything they need to know. Good luck with everything. Merry Christmas.
Thanks so much for your honesty, I've been on the road since this August and I'm 62 years old. It's tough but I'm so happy. I have very little money and the expenses are higher than I expected. Tomorrow is as we all know a nother day. Better or worse, please just enjoy the day for what it is. Men and ladies, love to all and stay safe and happy. My apologies for my English content my mental health issues don't help. Xxx
Sorry to hear about the job ending as its a horrible time of the year for that to happen. It is their loss. Hopefully something much better will come along soon. Take it as a mini break and recharge your batteries. Try and get out everyday even for a 30 min walk, just keep your spirits up. And if you truly get bored make a few extra videos. They don't have to be long but they might help keep you occupied. Stay warm and safe.
You are not suffering hardship, you are being tested by the universe, and when you ask for help, it will always send help your way, which you will see by weeks end !!
If a company that you work for is willing to treat you like that, then you are better off out, they have done you a favor mate. Something better is always around the corner
I lost my job at twice your age... life goes on. You'll get through. You have a good set of followers who, I am positive will come to your aid. Best, Kaye
You bid the best thing standing up for yourself, some firms will run you into the ground . I’m sure you’ll soon get another start somewhere better and happy birthday mate
Sorry to hear about your job loss! Have you tried looking for a delivery job, you’ve already got the van. Best of luck in your searches anyway & happy birthday for next week!
Mate I know exactly how you feel and people need to start realising in these big firms you are just a number and your manager will use you as much as they can and take all the credit for it and if you become injured or stop doing the extra for them then your out the door it’s very sad mate and I feel for you I had the same but through being injured at work I lost everything things will get better mate
I know this might not resonate right now but a lot of us are stuck in the 9-5 grind and dream of living on the edge but dont have the cojones to pull the trigger. You're living it. They'll be ups and downs, these are the downs but overall what you're doing takes a special character. I think the lesson to be learnt is work your way into a position of power before playing russian roulette. I did this at my old job, I made sure they needed me more than i needed them before making ultimatums.
I have never seen such generosity in the comments section of a You Tube Channel. You have some special subscribers. I am now long term unemployed and was let go just before Christmas from one job and the DWP stopped my Universal Credit in 2020 two weeks before Xmas so I can understand your situation. It's a tough time of year for more people than is generally acknowledged.
Same here William, I have never see such kindness from people in my life! sorry to hear about your situation, its an eye opener that i'm not the only one going through it.
Hi Alex karma works in many ways, this has happened for a reason and the right job will come to you in the end. My son was in a similar position and now he’s found his job and people to work with. It’s a tough old adventure what we call life whether in a house or van. Stay true to yourself and positive, let go of all anger and negativity and you will reap the rewards.
Found your video after having the same problem, I just quit my job making a good average wage, I'm going 33, single guy and saving to actually get a motorhome myself but that's been put on halt as the money isn't coming in. After Xmas is gonna be job hunting with what skills I have. All the best for the new year, keep your head up 🙏🏻
Bro you’ve always landed on your feet and you always will. Tough times come and go, but you’ve always managed to work through them. Very proud of you to get out there and graft and do whatever is needed to get you through. Hoping 2024 is still your year !
Sorry to hear that mate, I'm currently working at Tescos as a stop gap, its not for everyone but its flexible, nice people to work with and most importantly stress free. A couple of shifts a week would cover your fuel and food while you sort out your next move...free parking for the van too
Couple of things, I went thru something similar about twenty five years ago, nothing you’ve done was a mistake even if it looks like it now, you’ll grow as a result of this experience, never sell yourself short ever again, I’ve quit jobs after three days 😂 since, if it doesn’t feel right don’t do it…glad you’re feeling better…this is the first video of yours I’ve come across and you definitely got a new sub… take care buddy
Sorry to hear this mate. I’m in the same situation, it’s a nightmare going through recruitment processes these days but stick in there… bigger and better things are coming for you!
For a couple of months get a night shift job in Morrison's supermarket filling shelves. This means you also have free meals and free overnight parking in their car park which means you can sleep in your van through the day anywhere without charge. It's a good wage especially through Christmas and New Year....so in a couple of months you will have saved a huge amount in order to go forward. When one door closes, another opens. Good Luck Handsome ! ❤🙏
Sorry to hear the news buddy. Sounds like it’s time for a fresh start, look forward to new opportunities. Let’s get on the road soon get that winter camp going 👍
You have your wheels and you have your health as well as that insurance of your mums place in your back pocket, you also have a huge chunk of freedom without all the chains that binds us such as rent and a mortgage etc. I know that being skint is no fun and comments like mine might not be welcome but you have just opened another door and I hope you go through it on your own terms and thrive. All the best on your next steps wherever they may take you.
Keep the e-mail they sent you that mentions doing the extra (uncontracted) work. It will be useful to explain your exit at future interviews. Shitty luck, best wishes.
That’s a tough beak mate. But well done you for standing up against your employers taking the piss. That takes balls.Life is hard for all of us and these blows come to us all.Just keep in mind that this is temporary and that things are gonna improve. Were rooting for you 👊
Lost my job mid 2000’s. Living in a 3 door VW Golf. No internet. The boredom was mind numbing. Not having a flat place to sleep was terrible. Eventually bought a £300 estate car, it was a game changer. If I’d had the internet instead of books from oxfam for entertainment I’d have been super happy. Managed to get £75 a week helping a mate. Had a few months of it. Not fun at all.
I feel for you Alex, we are all just numbers to our employers. You stay strong and positive, it’s good to share your thoughts and that helps a lot not keeping them all bottled up. You’re not alone many of us have been in similar situations. Maybe set up your own business subcontracting to the bigger companies, just a thought. Bring on 2024 ❤you take care of yourself x
Tough situation, but you did right in the circumstances, and fortunately you know that in your heart. Everything is for a reason, and better things will happen. Wishing you a happy upcoming birthday.
sry to hear mate but dont worry there will be better times in a year you will be the biggest uk van life youtuber if you just keep going i love your videos keep up the good videos and you will succed:D
Happened to me a few times over the last 50 odd years, you’ll just come out the other end stronger and wiser. Donated a couple of quid to help out. Stay safe hon! Started watching you when you had yr Kangoo, still got mine! Take good care of yourself you’ll be fine! X
I feel for you mate - stay positive and keep at it! You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and you have so many diverse skills (especially after your van build). Your barber sounds like an absolute legend as well. Not that it helps much I know, but there are loads of us in a similar boat. Out of all our struggles, if we keep going it usually leads to better roads and it is an ideal time to meet new people to come together. Also Happy Birthday for a weeks time!
I understand there are many others worse off than me, so I cant dwell on it for too long, I'm hoping to find a new job really soon, and thank you for the birthday wish! 💪
Mate, my dad always told me "any idiot can work for free". Sounds like you stood your ground to someone that wanted to take you for granted. This might be the start of something better. Power to you fella
Sorry to hear about your job man, its not an easy thing to deal with. I lost mine in Aughust 2023, have a look at home shopping delivery driver for major Super Markets in the meantime until you get back into Design, free onsite parking all night, toilets mabe a staff canteen too. All the very best mate.
So sorry to hear this. Maybe stick to your contracted job next time then they can't abuse your generous, helpful nature. You did right pushing back, they should have been paying you for all the extras. Congrats on getting the channel monetised. Must have missed the competition, congratulations to the winners. How lovely of your barber, there's good people out there 😊 Happy Birthday 🎉❤
Feel for ya friend. You'll get through the rough patch one way or another and you'll be good! A job will be found, and your life will go on! From a random person I beleive in your youtube skill/influence so as long as you like youtube keep making content cause that could really pay off. Good luck mate! Happy almost birthday!!!
A large number of us suffer similar or same at work. Nothing really you did wrong as, like the rest of us, you learn as you go. Don't "make waves" within the first two years as they have to go through a long drawn out process before/if they let you go. Joining a union (even if they are not your thing) is wise as they will offer support and employers will be more wary. At your low points remember many are with you. You are young, bright, have skills and have a good spirit. You'll be fine. btw..first time on your channel..subscribed...I want to see your good progress.
Hi Alex, so sorry to hear of your terrible news 😔But you are so talented ,we know that it won't be long before you are snapped up. Great video as always. Chin up! Jen and Paul x
Don’t loose hope brother, suppose you had stayed and continued to be resentful and angry? Far worse could have happened, keep your dignity and you will find your way!!!
Hi Alex - believe in yourself and good for you standing up for yourself too !! Don’t you feel like you did the wrong thing because they were taking advantage of your good nature if no one speaks up, nothing changes, remember that ! Good luck on the job hunting front 🙏 I was looking for the link for the buy me a coffee but can’t find it in the description? You know what I love too, is the fact that once you have a job you will take it down 🙂 that’s how this buy me a coffee should work! Merry Christmas and send the link 😊
Could you not concentrate on building your TH-cam channel matey and have that for your job. Your very good at making excellent content. Good luck for the future, and thanks for taking us with you 💯🚐🚐💯🤟🚐
Good luck on the job search mate - I e just been through that drama. Business I worked for went bust and they laid us all off instantly. Keep your chin up 👍
Chin up mate, 2 years ago i lost everything n i mean everything. 2 years later im in a far better place. Things will turn around mate it doesnt rain forever youl see.
I am nearly twice your age (Like Tim), I have experienced what you have done with "The One" too many times to mention. Like you I live in a van I have owned a number of properties but equally been homeless of lived in a vehicle (Lock-up / Garage) numerous times over the years, but it Could have been far Worse, at least living in a van makes it harder for you to become homeless, even with no Road TAX, Insurance or MOT You'll be Safe and independent on your Mums drive for a month or few. Good Luck for the future.
I wish you good luck buddy, I am 29 and live in a van with very similar circumstances to you (like mirror image) day by day is the best way, I believe it's just about being the best version of yourself and surviving 🙏 what a handsome haircut too 😉 all the best Camper 👍
Thank you ☺️ it's not easy at the best of times van life, I understand the boredom, confined to your van all day, it's hard, but like you mentioned it's independence 🙂 roll on the summer 🌞 Steph x
The kindness of the barber is just the start, you have youth and health on your side. Don't consider what's happened a set back, consider it a new start a new beginning. Your going to be better for the experience and you did the right thing, irrespective what happens short term even if your not given an opportunity straight away just believe in yourself and it will all come together. I was a whistleblower for a large company and basically accepted a NDA in return for money at the time it seemed the best thing to do in hindsight it wasn't I possibly had the option to rip them to bits and embarras them and possibly receive more financial gain.

I've been through all that shit, so as probably most everyone else. You'll be fine believe me! Keep your chin up lad, keep the faith ...
You are right, I played a dangerous game and lost. But you are right in what you say
Same here William, I have never see such kindness from people in my life! sorry to hear about your situation, its an eye opener that i'm not the only one going through it.
wow how can they do that
Hi Alex karma works in many ways, this has happened for a reason and the right job will come to you in the end.
All the best for the new year, keep your head up 🙏🏻
Good luck with your adventure! Hope it all goes to plan 🙏
Thanks for the sub! And I'm hoping something new comes up really soon!
Sorry to hear this mate. I’m in the same situation, it’s a nightmare going through recruitment processes these days but stick in there… bigger and better things are coming for you!
I know right? Applying for jobs now feel like a full time job!
@@Nomadickangoo it certainly does take up a lot of time. I’m sure you will get something pretty quick though
Let's do it my man 🙏
You have your wheels and you have your health as well as that insurance of your mums place in your back pocket, you also have a huge chunk of freedom without all the chains that binds us such as rent and a mortgage etc. I know that being skint is no fun and comments like mine might not be welcome but you have just opened another door and I hope you go through it on your own terms and thrive. All the best on your next steps wherever they may take you.
Comments like yours keep me going man, thank you so much, you are right. In many ways i'm still very lucky 💪
Keep the e-mail they sent you that mentions doing the extra (uncontracted) work. It will be useful to explain your exit at future interviews. Shitty luck, best wishes.
thanks mate, good advice 💪
BTW. You DID do the right thing. I’ve had EXACTLY the same experiences as you regarding work.
Thank you i was doubting my self, but you and everyone else has made me realise, I hope your situation wasn't too bad!
Good for YOU!! Keep pushing! you absolutely did the right thing. Proud of you🤓
😆 glad you agree
I feel for you Alex, we are all just numbers to our employers. You stay strong and positive, it’s good to share your thoughts and that helps a lot not keeping them all bottled up. You’re not alone many of us have been in similar situations. Maybe set up your own business subcontracting to the bigger companies, just a thought. Bring on 2024 ❤you take care of yourself x
Subscribed and hope it helps out. Stay strong mate. Watching from Australia. ( just found you) 😊😊😊
Thanks for the sub dude 🇬🇧
Tough situation, but you did right in the circumstances, and fortunately you know that in your heart. Everything is for a reason, and better things will happen.
Wishing you a happy upcoming birthday.
Thank you for your comment, Yes deep down I think I do know its the right decision 🙏
Just found your channel. Keep your enthusiasm. With that you can do anything. Focus on the good. I will now always watch your videos 👍 take care man
good luck, hope you get sorted with a job soon.
Thank Dave ✌
You did the right thing. If you always stand up for yourself, you'll fit into the right job eventually
Thanks Lenny! Fingers crossed 🤞
sry to hear mate but dont worry there will be better times in a year you will be the biggest uk van life youtuber if you just keep going i love your videos keep up the good videos and you will succed:D
What an amazing comment! this made my day, thank you! ❤
Storms pass bro. All the best mate. Cheers, Matt from Cumbria. P.S all your subs know youre a good person 😊
Happened to me a few times over the last 50 odd years, you’ll just come out the other end stronger and wiser. Donated a couple of quid to help out. Stay safe hon! Started watching you when you had yr Kangoo, still got mine! Take good care of yourself you’ll be fine! X
Stay strong brother. Keep us Updated. Great honest Video. Greetings from germany
Your dad sounds like a very wise man! 💪
Happy almost birthday!!!
sorry to hear but your better than this your very smart u will find something even better buddy
Thank you for your kind words! I'm on the job hunt already, fingers crossed it won't take long🤞
A large number of us suffer similar or same at work.
Wish U the very best! Ur videos are really top notch!
Hi Alex, so sorry to hear of your terrible news 😔But you are so talented ,we know that it won't be long before you are snapped up. Great video as always. Chin up! Jen and Paul x
Thank you Jen and Paul, Always love to see your comments pop up on here. they never fail to put a smile on my face! 😊
We always look forward to your videos, keep positive, soon have another Job 😊xx@@Nomadickangoo
Good luck, your bounce back 💪
Don’t loose hope brother, suppose you had stayed and continued to be resentful and angry? Far worse could have happened, keep your dignity and you will find your way!!!
Thank you brother, you are so right 👍🏼
Hi Alex - believe in yourself and good for you standing up for yourself too !!
Good luck for the future, and thanks for taking us with you 💯🚐🚐💯🤟🚐
TH-cam is only a hobbie, I dont think it will see me through to retirement
Good luck on the job search mate - I e just been through that drama. Business I worked for went bust and they laid us all off instantly.
Keep your chin up 👍
Things will be ok buddy , keep your chin up mate 👍🏼
Keep going dude never give up, have you thought about settling up a digital etsy store cost nothing to setup.
Good luck b
Watched, liked, commented
It's all in the plan, you got this
You are 100% correct, there is a greater plan at work I have to trust the process 🙏
@@Nomadickangoo and you stood up for yourself, should be more like you
Really sad to hear what happened to you…stay strong! 💪
Chin up mate, 2 years ago i lost everything n i mean everything. 2 years later im in a far better place. Things will turn around mate it doesnt rain forever youl see.
Believe me mate you’ve done the right thing it will all work out.
Thanks Steve, I'm starting to feel like I have done the right thing 💪
I am nearly twice your age (Like Tim), I have experienced what you have done with "The One" too many times to mention. Like you I live in a van I have owned a number of properties but equally been homeless of lived in a vehicle (Lock-up / Garage) numerous times over the years, but it Could have been far Worse, at least living in a van makes it harder for you to become homeless, even with no Road TAX, Insurance or MOT You'll be Safe and independent on your Mums drive for a month or few.
Good Luck for the future.
I wish you good luck buddy, I am 29 and live in a van with very similar circumstances to you (like mirror image) day by day is the best way, I believe it's just about being the best version of yourself and surviving 🙏 what a handsome haircut too 😉 all the best Camper 👍
sorry to hear you are currently going through the same issue! I hope it gets better for you and my self real soon 🙏
Thank you ☺️ it's not easy at the best of times van life, I understand the boredom, confined to your van all day, it's hard, but like you mentioned it's independence 🙂 roll on the summer 🌞 Steph x
Never say anything until you have an exit plan and another job lined up, Do what is best for yourself always,
@@cazpk6840 good advice
Happy birthday 🎉
Thank you ❤
The kindness of the barber is just the start, you have youth and health on your side.
Thank you, I'm hoping this is the fresh new start that i have needed for so long!
All the best NK ,sure things will work out .on another note how’s socks doing not heard from him for an age ,hope he’s alright .
Thanks mate, I'm not sure I haven't been able to talk to him for quite some time. I also hope his ok.
