As far as I'm aware the wobbly crown is designed to absorb knocks. The watch doesn't have any crown guards. The thinking behind the design is that a rigid crown will break if knocked but if there's flexibility (the wobble) the shock of a knock (that'd make a great title for an AC/DC album) is absorbed by the lose fit. I think they look cool on a Nato strap, which is ironic. I'm going to buy one but it must have the frogman on the dial. That's the money shot for me.

What's great about this hobby of our is that history and heritage stretches across the whole spectrum. You don't need a millionaire watch to access it. I'm in the affordable end of the hobby and I love the fact that we can buy so many fun and interesting watches with history. What's even better is that we can wear and enjoy these watches. Imagine owning something like a Jacob & Co or a Vacheron Constantin. When would you wear it? It'd spend its life in a bank vault whereas this Vostock would be on your wrist doing what a watch was always intended to do. The Amphibia is on my shopping list.

I try to be discerning when I buy and keep an upper price limit for Ali watches. I make sure it's something I'd really wear and, if not an original design, is a true homage inspired by an original rather than a 1 for 1 copy. I don't want a copy of something I might be able to reasonably save for. That said, I've never bought an Ali watch that didn't match a reviewer's video. I find them a great tool. Where I'd be careful is with luxury reviewers/dealers on TH-cam. Is that watch really so awesome or is it an expensive lemon you can't get your money back out of?

Just picked up the quartz T1504171104100 with the navy dial and I couldn’t be happier . . . It was that or an automatic King Seiko but . . . ultimately the Tissot simply communicated to me that an impactful watch can still be subtle and modestly priced, plus it’ll really pop with a blue straight-hemmed summer button-down and beige khakis 🍹🌴 😎

Hi, I bought a Tandorio pilot syle watch cheaply from Aliexpress with the PT5000 ,.... when I received it it was running -9 secs a day, I put it on a timegrapher and adjusted the rate (very easy with this watch), however after a few days it was running slow again. A week or so later it was clear that the movement was not lubricated correctly if at all as it was loosing up to 2-3 minutes a day. then I contacted Tandorio and they suggested that I return it? I asked what they would do to rectify the issue and given the lack of lubrication would they replace the movement? I also asked if they would send me another I would install it in the watch myself. To my surprise the sent me a new movement with a new gasket and winding stem. When I received the PT5000 it was running 10 seconds fast and the first thing I did was to demagnetize it, it then ran at +4 seconds day, so clearly the movement can become magnetized (in answer to your question. Now it's running great at 2-3 seconds a day which is about where I like a watch to run given that that accuracy varies depending on the watch position (crown up/down .. face up down etc. This is a very good ETA clone given that it is lubricated correctly! dave

Just received my Tumbler yesterday and it's freaking incredible!!! All matching logos with the new logo Super light the glow is insane!!! SWC outdid themselves on this one!!!! Highly recommend!!!

Can you reset or set the 24 hour sub dial ? Mine is hard to get the hands to move and set with the crown unscrewed and pulled all the way out to second click.

Nice selection! I'm kind of an expert when it comes to PD watches😅. I think I've owned maybe fifty of them. Several Rolex homages: GMTs with Chinese movement, Air King, Explorer I, Datejust, OP, Cellini, maybe 4 or 5 Daytonas (their best overall model, IMO); also two of their AP homages (royal oak and Code XXXX); PRX chrono, Tag Aquaracer, Breitling Chronomat, Grand Seiko, cocktail time, Omega No time to die, Aquaterra auto and chrono, planet ocean auto and chrono, Speedy, and a couple of other models. My advice is to buy the simpler models: those are the Rolexes and Seikos. The more complex a design is, the hardest is to get it right, when copying (or homaging) it. Rolex have very simple designs and the Chinese industry has tons of experience with them. Omegas are more complex; their case shapes and bracelets, but also their dials, are harder to replicate. The Chronomat, for instance, is super complex, and the Pagani homage, although good looking, fails in several ways. I even got one with a loose bracelet. It was impossible to fit it into the lugs, because the holes in the lugs were misaligned.

3:00 you say it has a 21mm lug width. Not sure why you were measuring the band and not the actual lug width, which is indeed 22mm.

Casio is god tier, its inclusive to the rich, as well as the working class, there is no competition. Although whenever some insecure prick decides to tell me that my Bulova is less valuable simply because they have a Rolex watch on their wrist, it makes more sense as to why Casio watches are God tier watches.

Here in the UK, this was available for $230 in Black Friday sales. Luckily I got one in time (pun not intended) from Watches of Switzerland. It's a beautiful watch, and easily feels like something worth ten times the price!

Cool looking watch! I have the SWC Bunker and the SWC Ark. Both titanium field watches. The Bunker is GREAT! The Ark is also great, except the lume on the hands. It’s weaker than the lume on the indices. The Tumbler reminds me on my Citizen Brycen. Just on first sight. 🕐⚙️🍸

Thanks for the video. No drilled lugs, horrible unusable traintrack around edge of the dial (no minute markers) One of the worst clasps i've seen, no quick release end links. It is a pass for me. They can do so much better that this at $750, and I guess, so can we. I will stick with my Nodus. Cheers!!!

Hey Chris, awesome of you to feature an SWC. They do make some cool watches that are very reasonably priced considering the materials and movements used. I personally always found their designs to be a bit off visually. Not bad by any means, but subjectively i always found something that did not sit right with me. For this model, the height difference between the outer and inner rings on the dial seems weird to me. Also I think this watch would look much better on a leather strap than that bracelet. It is awesome of them to include a titanium bracelet though.

Initial impression it is nice - i especially like the fuscia and teal green versions. I understand that you pay a bit of a premium for micro-brands. Cost seems about right with all titanium, multi-layer super-luminova, SW200. However with only two micro-adjusts (i like the half links) but not sure how it might impact sizing i would have preferred an on the fly adjustment. A closed caseback is a bit of a shame for the Swiss movement. Also not sure why they call it the tumbler? Not really explained?

I've seen this brand on ShopHQ .. the other I've been curious about is the Constantin Wiesz.

I've bought 4 Lige Design Sub homages, and they're great. They look absolutely great. My first, a Smurf, I've had for two years. I'm not wearing it every day, but it has worked flawlessly. And unlike many other homages, the build is really good. The rotor in the movement is noisy but works just fine.
