Thanks for showing us these watches. Timex makes some very cool watches. They seem to get overshadowed by Casio as Citizen gets overshadowed by Seiko. Thanks!
@@adk7962 great point adk! Timex will never be overshadowed by Casio in my books, i have generally liked every Timex i have purchased, and generally Casio disappoints me. But I do think you are correct
I own two Timex in my 70+ watch collection: 1) Expedition Scout (INDIGLO!!!) 2) Weekender Chronograph (as a chronograph it also avoids the loud ticking people often complain about).
Chris, you really love Timex, which I guess is no secret at this point:) For me, the highlight of Timex is their Expedition line. Always has been what first comes to mind when I think of Timex. They even have two great digitals in that range, the CAT midsize and the Atlantis. In terms of Ironman models, my first choice would be the T5K195.
I really am not a quartz fan but the Expedition Scout is really hard to beat. Its my Turkey season watch, cheap tough and indiglo is very handy in the woods at 5am.
I've had several Timex in my collection, currently have a 40mm Marlin and a mechanical expedition north. Deff good watches for the money, use a lot of really ghetto movements in their mechanical/autos though lol.
Do you think most watch nerds are fans of digital watches? I am an auto or handwind guy, but do have a couple of quartz. Just wondering if there is much crossover there
@@MirrlyonTime well as a watch nerd I must be the exception, but to each their own. I know fellow watch nerds who dont like mechanicals becuase they are “not accurate”. Can you imagine lol.
@@whit107 you and me both whit, I’m not a fan of Casio at all, but, I def don’t fuss over quartz vs auto, a good quartz watch is fine by me, but….lol….i don’t fuss over the accuracy of an auto (as long as it’s within spec) and I don’t fuss over whether the seconds hand on a quartz perfectly hits all the markers
You have to say ANYONE WHO LIVES IN USA. I live in Argentina and i have to pay twice or more money for the same watch , example = IN USA 50 U$S and in ARGENTINA 100 or 150 U$S for a single TIMEX watch.
@@adrianfernandonoya5196 i feel your pain friend, these watches cost about 129 USD but for me 178 Canadian. Not as bad as you to be fair, and my main audience is US so there’s that, I got complaints about listing online Canadian prices before lol
Stay out of Walmart sir. We know you like Casio and you're just going to drive us further down this beautiful rabbit hole 🕳 with all of the shiny and precious ticking wrist pieces 😅

Well done Chris. Certainly a very nice collection which covers all scenarios and will not break the bank 😀 👍

Expedition line is great but I sure have a soft spot in my heart for the Ironman. I will have to check out the models you mention here for sure :)

In all seriousness, I remember sneaking off base to buy the ironman because our PX didn't have them in stock!

I have an 8'' wrist. That's the first problem. Much like yourself, I am hirsute. Should I shave my wrist 1st?
Heck no!!! Your body is genetically engineered for the next ice age!!! What happens if you shave and then BOOM the ice age happens ...???
