Hi Pauline you cannot buy any mk2 parts new you can buy some Repro but I would honesty say in my experience if you bide your time and pick up individual parts at good prices you could certainly build a chopper for under £400 in my experience if you're lucky, thanks for viewing cheers 🥂

@@paulmartin4971 it’s Cliff, I am looking forward to getting stuck back in on the yacht, I have done a few days of prep without filming so I am not putting lots of sanding videos out 🤣 also had 4 days in the Isle of Man with my other boat I upload a short video on that trip but it’s not the £1 yacht so didn’t get many views 🤣

Hi mate lol 😂 I bet that was brilliant fun, my favourite is still the Grifter far superior handling easy gear changes and more comfortable to ride, many of my mates back in the 70's who had choppers frequently used to stack it through taking your eyes off of where you were going to change gear lol 😂, still we were hardcore back in them days great times cheers 🥂

All these years I've been watching your videos hasn't gone to waste - I needed a new console window for my mk2 but they're 20 quid delivered then I remembered your idea of using clear plastic from a takeaway container. 😀 I found something similar, cut it to shape and it looks spot on! 👌 Just waiting for a 123 decal to arrive but that was only £2.50. Do you superglue your window in place? I have a tube of UHU which should do the job. 😎

I'm good thanks Paul, I hope you are feeling better now. I did buy 4 long straight bits of track from the model shop on Saturday. They are 700mm long. You are welcome to them if you want them for the layout. I've double checked the website and Peco track is fully compatible with Hornby. Good that its made in England too. Cheers.

Hi Paul, yes I have built up the Chopper Mk4. It is exactly the same as a Mk2 to look at. I bought the 70's height sissy bar which I put on. I always wanted a chopper but wasn't allowed one but at least I got a grifter. My younger brother did have a purple budgie though. I hope you have a good weekend, looks like the weather is a bit better at last.

I haven't got room in the house so my chopper is in the shed. It is covered up with an old duvet cover though. I have had a go riding it. I also bought a 1978 monkey bike last year, its a Kawasaki KV75. It was a non runner and had bits missing but I've done it up and it looks good now.

@paulmartin4971 the mk4 is still in its box locked away for now I don't want the tyres to get dirty lol. Waiting for the sun to come and dry everything out and when it does I'll be savouring the moment. Yes I live in a little village called Madeley on the Cheshire border not far from keele University if you've ever heard of that. Also not far from Nantwich.
