@paulmartin4971 I sold the Grifter and mk3 Chopper to make some room in the garage but since then I've bought a Bianchi road bike and a fold-up Raleigh Evo 2.
Hi Nicolas I get my Hycote from ebay usually, the more you buy the cheaper it is, usually about £5 a tin roughly, or if you've got a shop called The Range near you they also stock them. Hope this helps and thanks for viewing cheers 🥂.
Paul, how do you remove the foam from a grifter handle bars ? I've tried and can't work it out. Those little trains are lovely. Never knew that about a can of WD40.. mine just get lobbed to the back of the garage 😮
Hi Mike you get a Stanley knife 🗡 adjust the blade 🔪 to the longest length and then starting on the bottom of the foam put blade in full length and proceed to cut you may need to repeat this several times but try to keep it straight and neat, also the top of the foam is usually glued so run the knife around the sides of the bar if that makes sense!!?? The wd40 squeeze trick works a treat lol 😂 glad you like the trains lol 😂 cheers 🥂

Hi mate and thanks for the comment, I do like me Grifters and had one till I was 16, if I remember rightly lol 😂 when you were 16 in them days you were allowed to ride a 50cc moped 🛵 so by the time the burners came out it was to late for me and I never had the pleasure to try one out!! But the Grifter in my opinion was the best looking and riding bike in its time ⌚ cheers 🥂
@@paulmartin4971 we loved burners, but all steering geometry was wrong for a bmx anyway, but we loved them at the time and the money they sell for now - was a mass produced bike at the time, but peoples memories - better times I guess or maybe they as good then as now - can’t imagine all the plastic crap now will be as good in future, but memories are memories I guess
@@alseeineye yes mate I think all the bikes these day are just all plastic like you said, you can't beat a 70's/80:s bike they were so strong and could take loadsa punishment, I have loadsa great memories mate but never owned a burner to experience it lol 😂 cheers 🥂

It seems that all you have to do is make a bicycle and see if there's enough of everything on the table
