Fishing Landlocked Atlantic Salmon In Newfoundland
มุมมอง 407หลายเดือนก่อน
Down in the States, they're called “Landlocked salmon,” and tide deep in lakes. In Newfoundland and Labrador, we use the French / Indian term “Ouananiche”. Grand Lake has Ouananiche. The water from the Lake only flows through the intake to the Hydro Power Plant in Deer Lake. This is the only access they have to the ocean, therefore all the fish are considered Landlocked and they all reduce with...

Hi, I’m a fellow Newfoundlander and I have been watch almost almost all your videos. You are a great ambassador for Newfoundland and are doing a bang up job on promoting our lifestyle and foods that are usually scoffed at by many on the mainland. I’m building a place in Hearts Delight and plan to put a wood range similar to that beautiful stove you have in your garage. Whee did you get it? One last thing, don’t stop imitating your parents, it brings me back to my youth. You are definitely a great Newfoundlander, please don’t ever change :o))

Much appreciated for the great comments. Most people can relate to their father never admitting they were wrong. Haha, dad keeps asking me where do I come up with the content for him, haha. We ordered the stove through Home Hardware. It's a J.D. Roby. It took 6 months to arrive as they usually builds the stoves as they gets orders for them. I believe there made in Nova Scotia.

Funny rhing...you're a Newfoundlander, and yet I grew up eating the same food you did. Pretty much every dish you've cooked is something that appeared on the table when I was growing up!😂 Both my parents and both sets of geandparents were born and bred in Ontario. It is basically poor people's food, but damn, it was good!
