One for the bowl and two for me.
Nice outdoor kitchen! Even tho' your mussels look lovely, I can't do them. Not a huge shellfish fan. Not even clams. But years (okay decades) back in Weymouth, MA we would pluck mussels off the pier only to use as bait for fishing. So I always call them fish bait. Ha, ha. Hello from Oregon.
You don’t get a lot. That’s because he ate so many while preparing them!😂. Looks delicious.
😂😂😂
Oh bud, this video was great and the food looks DELICIOUS! I'm excited to try this. You've got my mouth watering for sure!
Thank you, it's definitely a very hardy and delicious meal.
I saw in a video that you used welding gloves to remove hot dutch ovens from the wood stove. I ordered a pair and they are a game changer! Thanks!
That's awesome 👌
Love your videos, straight to the point and very well edited
Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated. A lot of work goes into each video, and over the summer, I've been putting out 2 videos every week. It's like a second full-time job.
@@NewfieLifestyle The effort shows!
Looks delicious
Looks delicious.
Thank you
I love muscles but always give them a quick rinse and check for dead ones before I cook them.
and after watching until you took them out of the pot, looks like they were cleaned, lol, and whiskers removed...pefect
I'm watching but there's no way on God's green earth I'll be eating them any time soon lol right up there with oysters
I steam them over wite whine and a whole lot less than in the video. I think I would serve this over pasta, using butter and the steaming liquid as a sauce, maybe with a steamed green vegetable and any form of garlic mixed in.
Where about on the "Rock" are you located?
Never had any. What does it taste like? They blend right in with the mushrooms so I'm thinking I could be tricked into tasting it 😅
A delicious taste 😄. It's not a fishy taste. Most people who don't like mussels are because of the texture, not the taste.
@@NewfieLifestyle if it's like lobster I'll have to pass lol
Mmmm...mussels..😢😮😅
Do you know of a fish market in your area that ships to the US.
barrygroupinc.com/ not sure if they ship or not, but they might be able to put you in contact with someone who does.
@@NewfieLifestyle thank you. I will give them a shot.
You're supposed to eat half of em while your shucking.
We have a lot in common 😄
Stop eating them out of the shell...you won't have none left to mix. Lol
Lol my wife and I said the same thing , and said we would be doing the same thing so we know how he feels lol.
Man you got me drooling here looked absolutely delicious.
It's like candy, you just can't stop 😋 😂
